Well…was just reading a few articles on the intertubes and came upon this comment from ole Marco that had me laughing out loud at his brilliance…(snark)….after the super Tuesday primaries and caucases, he was asked why he didn’t do better than he did…and ole Marco answered with this brilliance…”if there weren’t so many people running, I would have won most of the states”….let that one sink in for a minute…he uses the excuse that there are just too darn many people running so people can’t see that he is the most qualified and would make the bestest president of all…this is what you get when you have a repub empty suit running…who has never accomplished anything in his life other than making friends with billionaires and trying to memorize a bunch of talking points…I kind of wish he would get the nomination so that either Hillary or Bernie would just destroy him in the debates…but, that is not going to happen…and that doesn’t make me sad at all….

Well…it was an okay day yesterday and I had a nice lunch with T and made some cash so that is cool….slept pretty crappy again and was up and down all night but that’s normal these days….my neck still hurts today and I guess I’ll break down and take something for it…I’m sure it’s from sleeping wrong but I’m not sleeping so I’m not sure how that works….I did do the grocery run today and that is the reason I’m running late….I did buy some new readers today and moved up to 1.75 magnification from the 1.50 that I have used for the past 5 years….can really see better reading the paper and doing this and they were pretty cheap…got two pair for 6 bucks at Meijer’s this morning so I can throw them away when I scratch them and not feel too bad…the last two pair cost me almost 30 bucks so I can live with a little less quality…one funny thing, the tags on them had electronic chips in them and they set of the door alarms when I was going out…kind of funny….not much to do today…I am going to clean some and make some pork roast for lunch but that is about it…more later….
This is what running government like a business does…
Well…you would think that the idiots in charge of Lansing would learn from their abject failures…but no, they are repubs who never learn anything. One of the mantras we hear all the time from these folks that it will be better if we run government like a business…it will save money…greedy unions have to go, etc…but the results are clear to see…from the Flint water crisis caused so that the emergency manager could save 100 dollars a day and look good to his cronies in the Snyder administration, to the privatization of food services for the state’s prisons that rewarded big donors to the repubs with profit while they fed prisoners food that was spoiled and had workers that smuggled drugs into the prisons….to the latest outrage of the veterans home in GR where the union aides and nurses were canned so they could give the contract for patient care to a private company that repeatedly failed to take care of the patients there…patients who are military people..yeah, the ones that the repubs supposedly revere but not if they cost anything. The system worked perfectly fine with some of the best care in the country until the repubs again privatized services there…but the real goal was to do whatever they could to gut public sector unions…and patient care be damned if they could save a couple of million dollars. This is the problem with running government like a business…it just isn’t one! And the bottom line mentality does not work unless you don’t give a damn about any outcome except cutting costs…and cutting costs doesn’t work all the time in business…we had a saying in my business days: you can’t cut your way to growth and profitability….but to the idiots running this state, it’s the only thing they know…geez….

Well…it was an okay day yesterday but I didn’t get much done…and today looks like the same…slept okay last night…well…not really…and I woke up with a sore neck that is going to need some pain killers here in a minute…I am so tired of winter and can’t wait for next Monday when it is going to be in the 50’s with maybe 60’s tues and wed….I do want to get the summer tires back on the car but I guess I can wait a little while….my back did hurt a little yesterday but it seems okay now…just a little tight….I do need to clean around here today but I probably won’t with having lunch plans with T….and there is soccer on this aft that I want to see…maybe between halves? Not much to do today….I do have to get my hair cut in an hour or so and then I have some things to do around here before lunch….more later….

Well…I am just a little chagrined with the news that the leadership of nascar and many of the drivers have come out and endorsed Donald Trump for president….I guess we all now know that racism is still alive and well in the south…now, people can endorse anyone they want…but I don’t have to pay or support their decision by watching them anymore….this just shows that these folks are not too bright…or they agree with all the terrible things the Donald has said and continues to say…do they really believe that all Mexicans are drug mules and rapists as Donald has said on more than one occasion? Do they really believe that all Muslims should be watched by the state? All I know is that Nascar ended for me today…and I have been watching it since the 70’s….I hope the rest of the progressive people in this country do the same….geez…
March 1st
Well…it was an okay day yesterday and I made a little cash so that was cool…slept okay last night but feel pretty crappy today with going out to have a few with G….so today will be pretty low key…I do have cleaning I have to do since the spiders are back in the bathroom already…I hope the old adage that says when March comes in like a lion, it goes out like a lamb is true since we have lion going on outside right now with the winter storm warning and snow up to about 8 inches today…I am really tired of this crap but it is supposed to be in the 60’s by the start of next week so I guess I can survive it….going to hibernate today since I don’t feel like going out in it…not much to do today….going to just ease into it and get a few things done…more later…

Last one for the month…
Well…it has kind of been a lost day for me today but I did make some cash so that is cool….didn’t work out or ride the bike today since it was so windy…it was blowing the car all over on the e-way today making it a lot of work to just drive….and now it looks like another snow day tomorrow and I hope it’s the last one for the year…it is going to be near 60 by the start of next week so I guess I can live with it…I do want to get the summer tires back on the car soon but I guess I can go another week….I have been trying to find a regular topic for the day but haven’t had a lot of luck so you are getting this one instead….I do have to get out to get a new fiberglass kit to repair the bike again and I may do that tomorrow if I don’t have lunch with T since I will be off the bike for a couple of days anyway….okay…that’s enough for this month….no more later….
February 29th
Well…it’s a leap day so that means two extra ones this year…it was an okay day yesterday and I got a bike ride in in a t-shirt and shorts…but that won’t happen today since we have another snow storm coming through….might be able to get out in the thermasuit, though, and I can take that…slept okay last night but lost my earplugs again so I must have been tossing like crazy…just like normal….feel a little crappy this morning and I hope the coffee works soon….my back has relapsed into pain and I’m not sure why…haven’t done anything to hurt it but I didn’t the last time, either….I guess I’ll just have to get used to it…have the Pink Floyd song “Time” running through my head this morning and I’m not sure why…other than I’m getting older and I can’t stop that….hmmm….not much to do today….just the workout and a bike ride then cleaning if I feel like it…..more later….
Texas is just crazy…
Well….as you know, I really don’t understand Texas and the idiots who are running that state…and that was really brought home by the latest bit of insanity that their legislators have foisted on that state. On August 1st, a new open carry law takes effect that requires state run universities to allow students to carry guns on campus…needless to say, this has administrators scrambling to figure out how to deal with this crap….they are now having seminars for professors across that state that basically tells them to let the gun carriers do whatever they want…to not criticize them, to makes sure they get “fair” grades, and to not ever confront them over bad behavior….so, the gun nuts get to do whatever they want while the rest of the people have to just take crap from them…I guess that’s consistent with the repub hatred of education and teachers…that teacher’s safety is less important than the nuts that want to carry guns everywhere….how much more stupid can people get? And do you believe for a minute that these gun carriers aren’t going to try to intimidate teachers and other students?

February 28th
Well…it was an okay day yesterday but I didn’t get much done…I did get out to have a couple with K and K and that was fun….but no cleaning or anything else so I do feel a little guilty about that…I have been trying to watch some of the best picture nominees but I don’t have them all…I am going to watch “Bridge of Spies” later today just to see if it is any good…watched “Sicario” last night but realized it was not nominated…and I didn’t think it lived up to all of the buzz…slept okay last night and feel a little worn out today so I’m not sure how much I’ll get done today…Man U is starting in a few minutes so that will take up most of the morning and then there is a race on at 1 so there will be napping later….not much to do today…just soccer and racing….will try to clean but I don’t have a lot of hope that it will happen….more later….
