Well….it any of you out there are from Georgia, I really do have pity on you for your asshole of a governor. If you haven’t heard this prick signed an executive order saying that no one that deals in social services for the state of Georgia can give aid to Syrian refugees…including the food stamp program that is paid for by the feds. Not only is this illegal, and I hope the feds get right on taking this asshole to court for this illegality…but, it is also one of the most immoral and reprehensible things I have ever heard of…to single out a family who is legally allowed to come here and basically say “you can just starve” is not what America is about…maybe in the repubs world of fear and nastiness….since they have been doing that to American citizens in every state that they control….but not in our world, not in the world of compassion that their bible tells them to make either…but, I know the prick will be in the pews on Sunday being the hypocriitcal, useless POS that he is…and the rest of the “Christians” will be patting him on the back for his “principled” stand on heaping more hurt on people who have already lost everything…easily the worst person in the world…geez…

Oh Canada…
Well…with all of the posturing and bigotry by the repubs here regarding the Syrian refugees and their repeated attempts to make it harder for them to settle here, we only have to look to our north to see how the refugee crisis should be handled. You know I’ve talked about the Canadians before and how much I like and respect them for their good nature and resonableness…and yesterday was no exception. When the Syrian refugees that are going to settle in Canada arrived there yesterday, guess what he response was….not fear, not loathing, not bigotry like they see here in the US but a welcome from the prime minister in person who said “you are home” as he met them. This is the newly elected liberal PM Trudeau not the conservative ass that held the office before. What the hell is wrong with us when we can’t do that? Where is the “American exceptionalism” that the right goes on and on about? For a country with a 10th of our population and economy the Canadians are taking on more than double the refugees that we have committed to and that is just shameful…what would be a better way to show the world we care about something more than war than to do everything we can to help refugees from around the world? I salute our neighbors to the north for showing us what it means to be human at a time where we appear to have lost our way.
Mo Brooks is the worst person in the world…
Well…I really do miss Keith Olbermann and his bit on the worst person in the world…if he was still doing it, this guy, Mo Brooks, a repub rep from Alabama would win the day hands down. Over the weekend this ass, this idiot made it known how bad he is by just one comment…that he thinks the Syrian refugees that are fleeing the violence there are just coming here for a “free vacation”….yep, he actually said that…with over 300,000 murdered or killed in the fighting there, these people fleeing for their lives are taking two years of jumping through hoops, and living in camps, just to get a “free vacation” here in the US. I wonder if the real reason might be that they want to live, that they want their children to live, and they want the chance to wake up in the morning and know their home won’t explode by the end of the day? I am so tired of these guys…you know, I really think it’s a plan by the assholes on the right…continue to be more and more assholey and outrageously crappy human beings and, after a while, people will just get immune to this crap…just like me…my outrage o’ meter has overloaded and it takes worse and worse things to peg it…but this one did….geez…

Well…I sit here shaking my head at the nonsense coming out of the repubs in this last week over Syrian immigrants and I really didn’t think it could get worse…but then these idiots go even farther toward fascism led by…well..by all of them…first there was a governor in the south that said that he thought internment camps for all muslims was a good idea…then we have the Donald saying that all muslims should have special ID and we should have a database with all of them in it…registration as a muslim…hmmmm…does anyone else remember when this was last done…to the Jews…in WW II? Then we have ole Rubio proposing we shut down anywhere that muslims meet in this country including coffee shops and I would suppose shopping malls. Then the normal cast of candy asses on the right who are scared of their own shadows pass a bill in the house that prevents any more Syrian refugees from being allowed to come here…you get my drift…these tough guys who say they can take on the bad guys in the world and stand up to Putin are all shaking with the prospect of orphans and families from the middle east coming here to live and make a new life…the American Dream…you remember that assholes? I just can’t any more of this dumbing down of our country….what a bunch of crap…geez…

Well…with the scared shitless repubs across the nation taking their fear out on Syrian refugees and the vetting process for those refugees, when asked, these idiots can’t point to one part of the process that is deficient…they just know it must be because Obama or something…and this doubly applies to our idiot governor, Rick Snyder, who started this whole mess. When asked yesterday which part of the 2 year process needs to be changed, he couldn’t come up with one thing….not one that he would change but he is also so scared by orphans and families from the middle east that he just KNOWS it needs to be changed…and it is all caused by the attacks in Paris. Here’s the thing…none of the attackers in Paris were refugees…they all were residents of Europe and had passports from Belgium and other European countries and no tightening of the vetting process would have kept them from coming to the US…we don’t even require visas for people to come here…meaning that these same terrorists could have just gotten on a plane and flew here with just their passports in hand. But, again, we have the repubs in their fear filled world attacking the wrong people for the wrong reasons since facts don’t mean anything to them…..good job you ignorant asses…hurt people and make the world more difficult…it’s what you are good at….geez…
Mike Pence is just the biggest ass in the US….
Well…with all of the chickenshit repub governors, including ours here in Michigan, puffing out their chests and saying they will block any Syrian refugees from settling in their states…we have a new low from the really, really asshole governor of Indiana, Mike Pence, who today said that two Syrian families who have been waiting for three years to come here will not be allowed to settle there. There’s your modern repub christian folks…spout Jesus all the time but when it comes to really following their supposed religion, they are just too damn scared or, even worse, are making a political calculation to leave these families in limbo just to get some votes from their equally scared and equally asholley voters….this crap needs to be stomped on now, it is against the law for Pence to do that…federal immigration law trumps what an asshole from Indiana thinks…states do not have the authority to ban anyone from entering the country…he should be sued or arrested and put in jail…I have had enough of these holier than thou asses who wave the constitution around but then ignore it when it’s not convenient or can’t be used to discriminate against people they don’t like….as you know, I’m an atheist but I know a little about religion and know that there is a special place in hell for people like Pence who do nothing to protect the least of the people…to paraphrase the new testament…I think it goes like this…what you do to them, you do to me…so Pence…you’ve discriminated against Jesus as you’ve discriminated against these poor folks who are yearning to breathe free…what a chickenshit move from a chickenshit person….there is even a better rant on this subject by Hunter over at Dalykos today….breathtaking in outrage…

Well…with the scaredy cat repubs doing everything they can to prevent any of the refugees from Syria being settled in the US since they are all 8 feet tall super terrorists…even the 5 year olds…we now have Texas weighing in on why they shouldn’t be allowed to come here and it is so dripping with irony and stupidity that I just had to comment on it. I wonder if you can guess what that would be? A state rep, Tony Dale, went off on a tv interview the other day saying that Texas can’t accept any refugees since it would be too easy for them to buy guns when they arrived…yep…let that one soak in a minute…a guy who has the highest rating for being a shill for the NRA basically says that if you’re a crazy assed white person threatening to shoot federal government employees you can have all the guns you can afford, but, if you’re a refugee (a brown person and probably not a good christian), you can’t. He goes so far as to make sure that any id they may get from the government be stamped so that it can’t be used to purchase a gun…never mind that this idiot blocked laws that would have mandated ID’s and background checks for gun purchases in Texas…and that any refugee could walk into any gun show in Texas and buy whatever he wants without showing any ID…so, what this boils down to is that this racist just doesn’t want any more not white people in his state and he will use any reason to rationalize keeping them out…and to him, the constitution doesn’t apply to anyone except those he approves of…typical asshole repub….geez…
