Well… with the wildfires devastating California and Oregon, don’t you think it’s a little strange that the president of the country has not had a word to say about it? Or has done nothing about it…no offer of federal aid, no visit not a frickin peep out the asshole in chief…and we know the reason why…just as he did with the blue states at the start of the pandemic, trump just doesn’t care about any state that doesn’t vote for him…never mind that he is supposed to be president of all of the people of the US, he is just so damn petty that he won’t do anything, leaving blue states to fend for themselves when a major purpose of the federal government is to help the states when they need it…I wonder what the maga assholes think about that when they live in a blue state? They are probably still cheering as they lose their homes to the fire since it will “own the libs”….what a sick, sick way to think. What else? Oh, it’s now clear that rudy and Ron Johnson are actively working with a Russian operative to get fake dirt on Joe Biden…yep, they are working with a Russian spy who is known to spread Putin’s disinformation and talking point and ole rudy and a sitting US senator are eating it up and actively cooperating with him to damage the US…what the hell happened to the repub party? Crap, they are just another arm of Putin’s party these days and care more about what Putin thinks than what is best for the US…now that IS treason when you work with the US’s enemies to harm the US….god, I hate these guys…more and more every day….

September 12th
Well…damn, I’m sore this morning and I think all the bending to reseed the lawn along with the painting is all hitting right now….but the weird thing is that I’m moving okay but I just hurt…we’ll see how it is when I get on the bike here in a few minutes…I did sleep okay and didn’t get up until almost 6…okay, I did wake up at 3:40 but was able to get back to sleep for a little while so I’ll count it as sleeping okay…it looks like I’ll be dodging the rain this morning since there is a huge blob just to the north and another one to the southwest that is heading in this direction…I find myself hoping that I only get one ride in today after doing two yesterday but I can’t slack off even though I hit 4400 miles yesterday….okay, almost 4400….have 16 more to do and that will happen on the first ride…I still need to make more progress on this place but I think I’m coming to the end of the work I’m going to do….the rest of it is large projects that I can’t do on my own…still going to try to get the last awning down next week but that will be the last project….not much to do today…the EPL comes back today and I need to look and see when Man U is playing and there are lots of races on so I won’t get much done other than vegging and watching today…I do need a day off to heal up some so I am going to try to not feel too guilty about it…maybe enjoy it for a change? Another busy day…
Well…yeah….I am kind of filling here to make up for not being able to write at all yesterday with the site being down…but, it’s not all filler and I do sometimes talk about my life a couple of times a day…so again, here goes….I really didn’t have much planned for today other than to get the bike rides in and then mow the lawn since my little electric mower doesn’t have the guts to cut the grass if it gets too long…and it was looking shaggy anyway….so I went out hard for the 18 miler and felt pretty good since I only did one ride yesterday and had some extra energy….when I got back here I got the mowing done and the bare spots in the front lawn were annoying the hell out of me so I decided to seed all of them…well…that was about half of the lawn and took a couple of hours and lots of pain to do since I had to bend over to put the seed in and then cover it with dirt that I took out of the piles behind the garage….but, when I was watering it…one of my flex hoses blew and I had to drag the stiff, heavy one out to be able to reach all of the yard…now I have to buy another hose but it’s not going to be an expandable one…they’re not very durable and they are not cheap….then I made lunch and got back on the bike for ride 2 and that one went okay but the wind was nuts and that made it a lot of work….I got back here around 2:30 and then decided that I needed to do laundry and got that started and just got the clothes in the dryer…so now I’m done for the day…a kind of long day after getting started at 7:30 this morning…and 8 hour day but I’m taking the weekend off so I’ll have some time to just screw around…and it’s going to rain tomorrow and there is some kind of running event that is going to happen on the trail in the morning so I may be off the bike, too….who knows?

Well…the ridiculous liar has a new talking point about why he continuously lied to the American people about the severity of the virus…and, get this, he is comparing himself to Winston Churchill, saying that Churchill lied to the English people during WWII to “soften the blow” of bad news. We all know that the idiot trump doesn’t know anything about anything and history is one of his worst subjects…I mean taking the airports in the revolutionary War? What Churchill did was not to lie at all but the make sure that the English people knew how hard it was going to be after the rest of Europe fell and that they knew the stakes…and told the unvarnished truth that it was going to be the hardest thing any of them had ever done and there were going to be sacrifices of English lives if the country and the world were going to survive Hitler. He never said “Hitler is going to go away in the spring”….or “Hitler is under control and we may lose 15 people” like the idiot did…one thing we all have to remember is Churchill never said “I don’t take any responsibility at all” as the idiot did when asked about the covid response or lack of one that he really WAS responsible for. How delusional do you have to be to compare the complete failure that trump is to a leader who led his country through WWII and helped win the war against fascism? trump delusional….and that is going to be the new descriptor for the most delusional person possible….trump delusional…fitting…

Well….why isn’t trump in jail right now? With the revelations from the Woodward book and tapes that he knew how dangerous the virus is and still went out every damn day for months telling people it would just “go away” and basically stopped doing anything to keep people safe, isn’t this a crime? 200,000 people dead and estimates that another 200,000 could die before the end of the year and there are still no consequences for the idiot boy….he’s still flying around the country putting on his superspreader rallies where no one wears a mask and they are jammed in should to shoulder…just last night he brought that bullshit to Michigan and in two weeks we’ll see a huge spike in cases that will keep our state partially closed for months more just so the idiot in chief can get his jollies from his spittle flecked lie fests…and I am damn tired of it…I want our state to continue to get back to normal but this event means that there will be no pool shooting until next year….and this “rally” was illegal but when did illegality mean anything to any repub? I’m just so damn tired of trump and his asshole followers shitting all over this country…people, please get out and vote…they all need to be gone…
September 11th
Well…as you could see, my site was down yesterday and my son just got it running again right now so I need to get to work and get caught up…so here goes…had an okay day yesterday other than the site problems and got a lot of work done…painted the railing around the flat roof and that was 3 1/2 hours of pain since I had to bend over to do it…my hamstrings and back were screaming at me all day yesterday and they are both stiff today…should be worse tomorrow so I need to to get out in front of the pain…you know, I really miss it when I can’t come here in the morning…it helps me to get my brain started and it leaves a hole in my life that I don’t like…just feel uncomfortable when I can’t do these…slept okay last night and really feel okay today…and the first ride was a good one but I went out too fast and that left my legs pretty flat by the time I got back here…I did get back from Los Angeles a couple of days ago with getting to 4310 miles and only have about 250 miles to get to my record for a year…that should come up next week if the weather cooperates…not much to do today…I do need to mow the lawn and get started on re-seeding the front lawn since it is looking pretty crappy and bare even though I’ve been watering and feeding it….not sure if I’ll do a second ride today but I just may since I have to wait for the lawn to dry out some anyway…but I need to finish my bagel and coffee first…more later….
The costs of Sturgis…
Well…I wrote a short one a few weeks back on the super spreader Sturgis Bike rally attended by a couple of hundred thousand right wing assholes who did absolutely nothing to keep from spreading the coronavirus…no masks, no social distancing, drinking in crowded bars, going to concerts…you get my drift….and I predicted that there would be an explosion of coronavirus from it that would be spread all over the country…and gee, I was right. A study released in the past few days estimated that this event caused over 250,000 cases of the disease and the costs for treatment of these cases was put at 12.2 billion dollars….yep, 12.2 billion dollars just so these assholes could exercise their “freedumb”…and “own the libs”….one estimate puts the cases tied to this moronic rally as almost 20% of the reported cases in the country and will almost certainly continue to spread the disease across the country. You know, I pretty damn tired of these cretins putting my life in danger every damn day just so they can go to frickin bar and not wear masks…..I know most of us here in Michigan are doing our part to slow the spread of the virus, but all it takes is one moron going to Sturgis to take all of that work and flush it down the drain….just like they should be….geez…
September 9th
Well…it’s raining out there again this morning so it looks like a wait to get on the bike again today…I really did take the day off yesterday from everything and I am still feeling the guilts from it…I guess I did do something…did the grocery run since I wanted to hit Menards to get some lawn food and get it on the front lawn before it rained….slept okay last night but still feel off today and I’m not sure what that is about other than my allergies….they have been bad lately and I have had a sore throat for a few days…that’s pretty annoying but I finally got some more meds yesterday so I can take something for it….it is a little weird walking around this morning with no pain and I hope I don’t get too used to it…after all, I do have 700 more miles to do and I do kind of miss getting on the bike even after only one day off….not much to do today…I am going to clean a little and I have some stuff to do downstairs as I wait for the rain to end…but right now all I want is more coffee and to read some news…might run an errand if the rain keeps up…the radar still has a pretty good size blob of rain but that will only be an hour or so….more later….
Idiot boy’s campaign appears to be broke…
Well….I had a little chuckle yesterday when I read an article that said the idiot trump’s campaign was going broke after having spent 800 million dollars already….on what, I don’t know…I do see a few ads on tv that I always change the channel when they come on but 800 million dollars? I do know that idiot boy has been bleating that he is going to give 100 million dollars to the campaign and why would he do that if they didn’t need it? My next question is where is the cash going to come from? We all know that the moron never puts his own money into anything so I wonder how they are going to funnel the 100 mil from Putin and launder it so it can’t be traced? Can’t use the NRA again since that channel has already been uncovered and his “charities” have been shut down so it will be interesting to see how many other laws he is going to break getting Putin to fund him…again. At the same time, Biden raised 345 million dollars just in August and that puts him up in total money for the campaign but he’s not spending it to buy Ferraris and condos in Florida for his campaign staff like trump did…or maybe it was just the grifters that trump surrounds himself stealing all the cash…just like the inauguration millions that just disappeared…gee, you’d think that the only reason idiot boy is even in this is to grift…I wonder how much of the 800 million ends up in trump’s pockets? A lot, I’ll bet….
September 8th
Well…it finally looks like I’m going to get my day off the bike…it’s raining right now and the radar shows that rain is backed up all the way to Iowa so there won’t be a ride this morning anyway…I did two yesterday and I am pretty sore today….slept okay last night but feel pretty slow this morning so I think I’ll need a bunch of coffee to get me started…it is kind of nice to have no schedule for a change but I think I’m going to do the grocery run today since I can’t do anything else…I did get the railing around the flat roof wire brushed yesterday but still have a little more to do so I can paint it Thursday…supposed to be rain showers tomorrow too, so I’ll need to wait until then…my last big sunflower fell over yesterday but it was from wind and not the trunk breaking so I just stood it back up and used a chain to hold it to the fence…I am really surprised how small the root system for a 12 foot tall plant is….I will be taking them all down as soon as the seeds finish so I can put the stalks out in the trash Friday….not much to do today…I’m just going to wing it and do what I want with no schedule today….that is going to be weird…okay I guess I do have a schedule if I’m planning to do the grocery run…damn…more later…
