Well…as Bill Barr runs rampant over the rule of law in this country, the one person that can put a check on him has given up…the chair of the house judiciary committee, Jerry Nadler, said over the weekend “there’s no point in impeaching Barr, the corrupt senate will just let him go”…Jerry, Jerry, no, no, and damn no! Just because the senate repubs are corrupt, is doesn’t mean you should stop doing your job…and your job is to hold these criminals accountable…and what really sucks here is that Nadler hasn’t even used all of the tools available to him to force accountability….he could use “inherent contempt” to force Barr to show up and testify and if he doesn’t, Nadler can have the capitol police arrest him and have him brought to the house…but why not start with a subpoena? At the very least a subpoena…and then Nadler needs to make these criminals understand that the election is not a “get out of jail free card”…when trump loses…things are just getting started in bringing trump and Barr to pay for their crimes…but, these assholes don’t seem too worried even though Biden has said catergoricly that there will be no pardons for any of these criminals….if they were as smart as they think they are, they would stop criming all damn day and start trying to figure out how to minimize their jail sentences….tick, tock Barr…the noose is closing….

Well…that wasn’t a bad night…didn’t get up til almost 6 with only the normal amount of tossing and turning so I’ll take it…and I don’t feel too bad this morning after being good for the second night in a row…I wonder how I’ll feel after another 5 days off week? I know my foot is appreciating it and it may even be back to normal since it looks good this morning….the poison oak is finally healing pretty well and the only thing left on my arm is a red mark and it doesn’t itch too much but I am still going to treat it with hydrocortisone again today to keep the progress going….going to be much more careful about the trail from now on….I am going to get the front door painted today and I am curious how the new sprayer is going to work on it….I do know I need to build a little paint booth in the vestibule with a drop cloth since I just noticed that the dust from sanding is all over the living room and will need to be cleaned more…don’t want any overspray to get on the floor or walls since the dark brown would look nasty on my clean white walls…..or the hardwood floors…I think the brown is going to look classy on the door but I do still need to buy a new lockset and dead bolt so the door will work normally….not much to do today…need to get out on the bike here in a few minutes but want more coffee and to read a little news first….the bike rides felt good yesterday and I went hard on both…yeah, stupid, I know but damn, what’s the point if you can’t go hard? Finally got something done…
Well…finally…got something done today! Got the front door filled and sanded today and it’s ready to paint….it has been a struggle to get moving lately and part of it was the pain everywhere that I’ve had for the past couple of weeks…along with the pain in my foot it has been tough at times…I am so glad that the dust from sanding is finally over…I am tired of cleaning up and having it everywhere…I think I may try out my new sprayer if I have enough paint left…really don’t want to spend another 38 bucks for a gallon if only have the door and 4 feet of trim to do…it’s going to be close….but I think I’ll be able to thin the paint with some water for the sprayer and make it work….hope so anyway….time to take a break…
Call it what it is…the traitor’s flag…
Well…the fight over a stinking flag took a turn yesterday in the hotbed of traitors, Alabama, when nascar made good on banning the “traitor’s” flag from their venues…okay, and let’s call that flag what it is…it is not “the confederate battle flag”…calling it that imbues it with some sort of veneer of acceptability….remember, it is the traitor’s flag, flown by traitors who tried to tear this country apart just so they could continue to own slaves…and don’t give me the bullshit that the war was about “states rights”…in the constitution of the confederate states, it states bluntly that protection of the institution of slavery is the reason they were trying to destroy the US…and every fact based historian agrees that is the reason…and it wasn’t “brave or noble” to tear apart this country and kill almost a million Americans for slavery, so let’s cut that bullshit out too. Just yesterday, the racists in Alabama put on a show at Talladega speedway where they had a rally outside the gates with hundreds of traitors flags and they even flew a huge one over the track just to make their point that they are a bunch of racist asses…and that point was driven home by the discovery of a noose hanging in the garage of the only black driver in nascar, Darrell Wallace, whose suggestion that maybe, with the nation getting on board with the “black lives matter” movement, it would be a good idea to get rid of the racist symbol of traitors and make the sport a little more welcoming to everybody. It was heartening to see the response to this racist thuggery as swift and sure condemnation of this hate crime…and unlimited support of Darrell as he tries to do his part to make this country a better place…as I do…it’s about damn time that we have this conversation…but it is the 50th time in my life that this “conversation” has happened but just the conversation…it is past time to take on the racist assholes in this country and tell them to go back under the rocks they crawled out from….their time has passed and they deserve to be thrown on the ash heap of history along with their traitor’s flag….keep it up Bubba, we’ve got your back….

Well…not sure if I’m on time or not this morning but it’s 6:29 and I’m here so does it matter? I did sleep okay last night and don’t feel too bad this morning so I’ll take that every day….and I’m not too sore today…even my foot doesn’t hurt much and I’m not limping much either….it is kind of weird that I am cheering that my back hurts but that means that it may be getting ready to crack and re-align which will help the swelling in my foot….had an okay day yesterday but didn’t get much done other than playing in the gardens but I am going to get at the front door today and start prepping it to paint…have decided to use my new spray gun to paint it and I am a little curious of how that is going to work….should be a good dry run for the rest of the painting I need to do with the sprayer….that damn chipmunk is back and digging in my garden again and pulled up one of my small green pepper plants looking for sunflower seeds it buried last year I guess…got mad enough that I wanted to kill the little sucker but then realized he is just looking for food and I re-planted the pepper so no big deal…..I will scare him a little when I see him but that will be it….had a couple of nice rides yesterday and will be going back out for two rides today as I head toward 2300 miles in for the year…have been making sure to drink all of the water I take with me on every ride for the past few days and I think it may be making a difference…at least my toe is barely red and I can move it so that is progress…but, I need to get at making ice so I can drink all day around here…think I may have to put a couple of trays in the downstairs freezer if I can make room for them…I do want to order some of the cool new silicone ones but amazon is so damn slow that I wouldn’t get them for over a month so maybe I’ll look at Meijers wed….more later….
I have beans!
Well….have been a little disappointed how slow the plants in my gardens are to fruit when I started them downstairs when it was still snowing outside with the specific purpose of getting them to flower and fruit before they normally would around the end of July or the first part of August…and I think I may have only cut a couple of weeks off the standard fruiting times even with all of the early starts…but, today I have beans! My bean plants started to flower last week and today they have little beans starting to grow…even with having 5 plants, I don’t think that is going to be a lot of beans unless they continue to flower through the summer…it has been so long since I’ve had a garden that I really don’t remember how any of the veggies grow and mature..except tomatoes, that is…so I am going to be learning this year for my own garden at my own house next year…I know I’m going to put some herbs in next year too since I forgot them this year…so that makes beans, jalapenos, green peppers, tomatoes and a few green onions that have started to grow fruit…and the cukes have started to flower like crazy so I should have a lot of those in a month or so…even my potatoes are growing pretty large and that will be a laugh digging them up at the end of the year and seeing just how many potatoes will be there….and I think I’ll try to plant some regular onions too just for the heck of it…so, I guess I can stop stressing that I didn’t do the garden right this year and just enjoy what I get in a month or so…it will be so cool to just walk out and grab some tomatoes to eat as I take care of the gardens…so, everybody…get ready to take some of this stuff off my hands….
Teenagers and a grandma punked the trump campaign…
Well…a million people packed into the 19,000 seat arena in Tulsa last night for an electrifying speech by the greatest president in American history…is what the repubs wanted the headlines to say this morning but reality, that nasty thing that repubs have no relationship with, reared it’s ugly head…or beautiful head, depending on how you look at it, and the stench of failure followed the idiot boy out of his helicopter and onto the WH lawn as he did the walk of failure shame late last night. In an arena that held 19,000, the Tulsa fire department put the crowd at 6,200 people and the photos confirmed those counts showing the entire upper bowl empty and at least half of the floor empty, too…but, how could that be when trump’s campaign had crowed all week that they had a million people ask for tickets? It has started to become clear that a grandma and an army of teenagers on tiktok took it upon themselves to punk trump and his cronies by online ordering hundreds of thousands of tickets for the event and then posting videos of themselves with their 20, 50, or 100 tickets…what I found most funny about this prank is that the trump campaign didn’t even check on whether the tickets requests were real or not, they just knew that idiot boy would love the idea of a million people wanting to get into his hate rally so they went running to him to breathlessly report their huge success…and then the campaign spent money setting up an outdoor stage with video screens for the “overflow” of thousands of trumpists and scheduled trump and Pence to give speeches to the crowd…but there was no crowd and the outdoor stage was dismantled before the indoor speech took place…..and today the 10,000 rpm spin from the trump idiots went something like “we vetted everyone who requested tickets” and the requests were all valid repubs…so, how did a teenage girl in Colorado get 40 tickets? This whole “rally” was such a debacle with trump spending almost 20 minutes defending his ramp walk from West Point and getting a standing ovation for drinking water with one hand…yep, that’s what trump and his cult have come to…what’s next? Cheering when he takes a dump? I sure hope that the fact gets through his thick head that America hates his ass and wants him gone and the polls show it….hey donnie, Biden has a double digit lead over you…why not save us the trouble of throwing your ass out and just resign…no matter what happens, there is prison time in your sad future you pathetic little man….

Well….running a little late this morning but that is normal for a Sunday….slept okay even in the heat but my thumb hurts like crazy for some reason today…have to not use the space bar so much…not sure how that is going to work but it hurts enough that I’m going to try it…maybe hit it with my left thumb? Cripes, it 7 am and it is still sticky and I’m already sweating so I’m going to be soaked on the bike in a few minutes…I did get some news from my middle son yesterday that he and his wife are having a girl so that will be one of each in the next year…I’m pretty excited about that and it will be good to get things back to a semblance of normal….didn’t get a lot done yesterday and today looks the same as I wait for the weather to cooperate and get a little cooler…but, I can’t wait too long…need to get up on the roof and get started on the dormer this week and get the front door done, too….my foot is not going to cooperate but I guess I’ll just have to live with it….still haven’t seen a hummingbird at my feeder so I moved it to the back yard to see if less noise will help…I’ve never been able to get them to come to a feeder any placed I’ve lived so it’s not too much of a disappointment….not much to do today…just the two bike rides and lots of soccer and races but that will be it…I do need to make a pizza for lunch to use up the veggies before they spoil then back to leftovers for dinner…I think I need to up the calories a bit since I have been under 1500 cals for weeks now and I don’t think that is enough….we’ll see….more later….

Well…if you didn’t already know that Bill Barr was the most corrupt AG in US history, you just need to look at his actions from yesterday night when he tried to fire the US attorney from the SDNY, but the US. A, Berman wasn’t buying it and didn’t even know what Barr had done until he saw a press release from Barr saying Berman had “resigned” and he was going to appoint a crony of his who had never tried a case in court…one little problem is that since Berman was appointed by the district court, he can only be replaced by an attorney who is confirmed by the senate…something that will take time and it appears that Barr thinks they don’t have time to waste…I wonder why that would be? Could it be that there are indictments being prepared for Rudy Giuliani just like they were for his two partners who tried to extort Ukraine to fake some evidence against Joe Biden? Or could it be that the Jeffrey Epstein investigation has turned up something on the idiot trump himself? The attorney that Barr is trying to sideline released a statement saying the investigations will continue and he will not bow to the pressure coming from Barr…and will stay in his job until the law is followed to replace him….remember that this district is the one that is charged with investigating all of trump’s criminality when he was in NYC, but I don’t understand why this is being attempted with only 5 months til the election….is there something that bad coming out of the SDNY? Look, everyone thinks that Barr is so smart but with just a few months left in his term, why is he exposing himself to obstruction of justice charges when trump loses in November? Just because the administration changes, it’s not a free pass for crimes committed during it and when we take all three branches of government in November, you can bet Barr is going to be called to testify to the house just as soon as Biden is sworn in…and he will be arrested and forced to come if he refuses since he won’t have the most corrupt president in our history to protect him….this reeks of stupidity but stupidity is the hallmark of trump’s cronies so I guess I shouldn’t be surprised…tick tock Barr…
June 20th
Well….not going to do that again…had cocktails last night and my foot hurts this morning…so, I guess I’ll just put the stuff away for the near future and go a couple of weeks until the next time…and I slept pretty crappy too, but I think that’s from the heat more than anything else….will probably move my fan into the bedroom tonight just to have a little breeze…needless to say, I tossed and turned all night and now my ribs hurt again but in the back and not the front where I injured them a few weeks back…cripes….I was going to work on the front door today but I had a thought that the yellow I was going to paint it might not be the color I want and may paint it the same dark brown as the trim so it will match the porch ceiling…might be a little classy looking so I need to think about that for a couple of days…I wonder if I could use the new sprayer to do it? Too much to think about right now….not much to do today…BPL soccer is back but I still need to get two rides in today so I’ll need to get out for the first one by 7 so that gives me 20 minutes to have my coffee…will have to watch soccer in between the rides today but I’m not too motivated right now…I wonder when it’s going to rain so I can take a day off the bike?
