Well…the stupident keeps getting more and more stupid as each day goes on…the latest is a spat with the entire intelligence service of the US after they testified in the Senate yesterday that all of the things that trump said are great accomplishment by him in foreign policy are all just he delusions of a sub-standard mind. The heads of all of the agencies agreed that Iran is not pursuing nuclear weapons, that North Korea is never going to give up it’s nuclear program, that ISIS is not defeated, and the withdrawal of troops from Syria is a huge mistake…all things that idiot boy has used as talking points to puff himself up but the reality is that his stupid, toddler moves have made ISIS and Iran stronger…and anyone with a brain can see that. That is one thing that trump has never been accused of, having a brain that is, and he showed that with tweets this morning where he attacked his own intelligence service heads as being “naive” and implying that he knows more than they do…that is something that almost everyone knows is not true since trump really is the stupident…the question that needs to be asked is who do you believe? Intelligence professionals or the dumbest person on the face of the planet? I know who I believe…impeach…

January 30th
Well…that was a little better…didn’t get out of bed until almost 6 and slept okay…for me, that is…and it was my first night with no ibuprofen for the shoulder and it is just stiff today…not really any pain and I know I slept on it for a while so that is progress…I think I have a cold with some coughing and sneezing and generally not having a lot of energy so I think I’ll take it easy again today…the only thing I have to do is clean off the car and get it started later and run an errand if it’s not too bad out there…this weather is taking a lot out of me and doing the grocery run yesterday has me thinking that today is Friday….it’s bad enough normally when the days just run together and I have to think about what day it is…oh, well…didn’t get a lot done yesterday but ride the bike and today will be much the same…I am going to test out the shoulder by working out on the weight machine and then I’m going to do a half hour on the bike…that much time hurts like crazy and it is much more work than riding on the trails where you can rest on the down hills…it feels like my long uphill sprint but for the entire time I’m on it and my legs show it…they feel like rock after I’m done and they hurt…I can’t wait to get back outside and see how easy it is to ride there…more later…
This never happens…
Well…it is damn cold outside and there is good news about the car…it hasn’t leaked at all since I tightened up the hose clamps and I have idled it here for almost two hours since then…but, that’s not what this is about…around 10 this morning, I warmed the car up…again… to run a couple of errands that I wanted to get done but, after hitting FF for my powerball tickets for tomorrow, I started off to get some groceries at Aldi’s but it was snowing and blowing so hard that I turned back and skipped it…and that never happens…usually once I start out in bad weather I can get to where I need to be and back..but this morning, I could not even see where the road was and less than 20 feet off the front of the car…getting groceries was just not worth all that work. There has been so much damn snow over the past few days that I have a 30 feet high snow mountain where the plowers have pushed the snow…yow! This has got to stop soon….and 8 degrees below tonight and 0 for a high tomorrow is going to be brutal….hibernating seems like a good idea…
Geez…trump is stupid…
Well…with the cold weather that is hitting the midwest, of course the stupident has to bleat out that it’s the coldest weather in history (it’s not) and then goes on to say that we could sure use some global warming right now…geez trump is stupid…and trying to score points with the idiot climate change deniers by his smug assed tweet. Okay, I’ll explain this one more time…as the arctic warms, from human action and burning fossil fuels, it disrupts the jet stream which then allows the polar vortex to split, this time into three parts that then results in cold air that would normally stay at the poles crashing down into the lower latitudes….the warming of the arctic has de-stabilized the weather patterns, making for large swings in temperatures…after this bitter cold, it is going to be 40 and raining Sunday…just showing how unstable the climate has become. But, as we know…the idiot trump only gets his “news” from fox and there must have been a denier or two on there this morning and trump just had to weigh in like a 5 year old…nope, a 5 year old in kindergarten knows more than trump….he is the most stupid person on the face of the Earth…impeach…
January 29th
Well…damn, back to waking up at 4 and trying to go back to sleep didn’t work today so I was up for good at 5:20 and that leaves me pretty exhausted again…and I didn’t sleep well at all and I’m almost tempted to take one of the OTC sleeping pills I have in the cabinet but I haven’t taken one of them since September and don’t want to start that up again…I did get a workout in yesterday and it didn’t hurt too much after so I can try it again today…but, that will wait for a while since I am moving up the weekly grocery run to today to avoid having to go out in the really cold air that comes in tonight and lasts until Sat….don’t want to put the strain on the battery that starting it at 7 below would do…and, I have a bunch of other errands to run this morning that will charge the battery up…haven’t taken the car out for any distance since last Friday so it really needs to get completely warm…I do need to clean around here today after I get the rest of my stuff done and need to have it done before Man U plays this aft but I am not motivated again…and I still don’t feel that hot today…think I have a bug that is leaving me more tired than usual….more later…
Good idea to stay home…
Well…with all of the snow today, I decided to stay home and not shoot pool…couldn’t even get out of the lot here until they just did the snow a few minutes ago…and there is another reason that it was a good idea to stay home…I feel pretty crappy and warm right now and my intestines are giving me fits…lots of pain and I just figured out what the cause of it is…the whole thing started with my stomach getting really queasy after I had a couple of bowls of my homemade broccoli/cheddar soup and I wonder if it can have gone bad after just 3 days? Have been taking antacids since lunch and that hasn’t really helped so it must be the soup…oh, the intestines…just figured out what that is from just a couple of minutes ago…I had peanut butter on toast for breakfast yesterday and my recent sensitivity to peanuts is what is twisting my intestines into knots…damn…and I like peanut butter, too…oh, well…one more food to completely avoid…
There is no center anymore…
Well…with the announcement the Howard Schultz, the ex CEO of Starbucks, is thinking about running for president as a “centrist” independent since he has the delusion that there is no difference between the idiot trump and the normal people on our side who have announced they are running. For some reason, he thinks that there is this huge pool of voters that still exist in the center of the political spectrum that he can tap into to get elected…I have news for you, Howie, there is no center anymore…if you look at what propelled the dems to victory in 2018, is sure wasn’t centrist bullshit that you are spouting, that you can compromise with the repubs and that they have the good of the country at heart…open your damn eyes, Howie…there is not one damn repub that negotiates in good faith anymore and the only way to get this country back on the right path is not repub light…it is the progressive policies and ideas that our candidates ran on…like healthcare for all and honesty in government…and government that works for everyone not just the 1%. So, Howie, just go back to you summer home and your yachts…if you run, you will put trump back in the WH since some deluded people will vote for you and it will split the vote and let trump win…or, is that your plan? Impeach….
January 28th
Well…running a little late this morning with not getting up until almost 7…and that is quite strange for me…slept okay but feel worn out again today and I hope the coffee will help with that…I should go out and clean off my car to start the long day of snow but I just can’t take the cold yet…my car is going to get 0 mpg the next few days as I need to warm it up with the below zero temps that are coming but the roads are going to be too bad to take it anywhere…at least today, that is…supposed to be the coldest air in almost 20 years wed…during the day, that is…I remember a few years back that it was -16 and I couldn’t get the Miata to start even with running it overnight….that was before I had the battery box to help and Brian had to get his truck to jump it…brrr…I may need to make some more coffee this morning since I didn’t have much left over this morning and I want more than two cups…have never done that before….not much to do today…just going to hunker down here and try to work out without damaging my shoulder…and a long ride on the bike since I took the day off yesterday…my legs hurt like crazy and needed a day off….more later…
January 27th
Well….stayed in bed until almost 6 this morning and that seems like a win to me after being up around 5 for the past week…but, it’s not…I do feel better this morning…not as exhausted as I have been but that usually kicks in a little bit later so we’ll see….the car started this morning with no problem but it is a balmy 13 degrees out there so it should….I had to break down and take something for my shoulder and neck last night and that is really helping right now, too, with very little pain this morning…and I hope that continues….I know it’s winter in Michigan but I am a little depressed about the snow that is coming today and tomorrow….and the cold doesn’t help, either….I mean -2 for a high Wed? But it should be back up to around 30 by the weekend…I hope…so I guess I’ll just hunker down and deal with it…didn’t get much done yesterday but make soup and it looks like I’ll have to force myself to get anything done since I am not motivated at all right now…at least there is a race on in the background but it is raining in Daytona so it yellow and boring and that seems to describe me right now…more later….
Another soup…
Well…have been doing a lot of cooking lately and much of it has been without recipes…just using techniques that have worked for other things that I have transferred over to a new soup that I made for the first time today….looking in the fridge this week, I noticed I had some fresh broccoli and leftover cheese from some tacos I made a couple of weeks ago and it struck me that I could use them to make broccoli cheese soup…one that I have never made before and something that would go really well with the cold weather we are stuck in. So, for lunch I made soup that came out really well but a small batch since I only had enough leftovers for a small batch…as with the other soup that I make, this first batch is a baseline and has given me some ideas on how to make it better the next time I make it…and this one is kind of healthy since it doesn’t have any heavy cream in it but it does have 3 tablespoons of butter and 4 ounces of cheese in it…there just isn’t any way to substitute the cheese or the butter to get any flavor…so, now I have another soup to make that won’t end up in the freezer since that would ruin it…darn…I’ll have to eat it all….
