Well…there were a couple of things that happened on the trail today that I almost forgot about….not sure why that would be but I’m not going to dwell on it….at the top of the first climb that goes to the highest point along M-6…where I make my first water stop…I looked off in the distance and there was a helicopter hovering maybe a couple of thousand feet in the air…I watched it for a few minutes and it just stayed in one place until it moved off….not sure why it would do that since it was not carrying anything that I could see…oh, well…the next thing was that I came on a garter snake that was just warming itself on the pavement…and, of course, I had to pick it up…I just love the way snakes feel..that silky feeling…when I grabbed him, I broke into laughing since he tried to bite me multiple times…I’m not sure if he realized that he has no teeth or fangs or that his head is about the size of my pinkie fingernail but he kept it up until I grabbed him behind his head…then he calmed down and just looked at me while flicking his tongue……a pretty cool encounter…l made sure he was safe in the weeds when I let him go….I’m not sure why I didn’t remember this stuff until right now…..

An interesting team….
Well….I know I’m running late for the second one today but just couldn’t find something that interested me…..but, with reading an article on Mueller’s team that is investigating trump and his cronies, I found it. Just a little thing, really…but one I found quite telling…on the team that Mueller has assembled, you find the requisite amount of lawyers, but one is not a lawyer but is a history professor…whose specialty is…wait for it…impeachment. So, we know where Mueller thinks this is going, or why include an impeachment specialist? I am now allowing myself to have hope for this country and that trump and his cronies are going to end up in jail…where they belong…impeach…
June 4th
Well…running a little late today…just can’t get started but the coffee is helping…a little…slept okay last night but there were no dreams to speak of….I’m still struggling with back pain today but don’t have too much other pain…I did go hard on the bike yesterday and I’m feeling that today….didn’t win the powerball last night but no one else did either…so it will be almost 400 mil for weds…..didn’t clean yesterday but will do that today….the kitchen is littered with dead ants that need to be gone and the surfaces need to be cleaned, too…so that will be the goal for the day…..it’s already over 65 so I can get on the bike as soon as I want…but there needs to be more coffee before that…more later….
America’s Cup…
Well…as you know, I sometimes like kind of weird sports…having a had a big thing for curling a few weeks back and even watching some cricket sometimes…and I just discovered another one…kind of obscure, for me anyway…just the other day I came across sailing for the America’s Cup and, while I have watched it before when they used the big, monohull boats, I have never seen the type of sailboats they are using now. These boats are catamarans but their cool part is they use hydrofoils that lift the boats 4 feet out of the water and make so they can go almost 50 miles an hour. And I am hooked again…watching it again right now for the challenger’s trials and then in two weeks will be the US against the world…should be fun….

Well….running about on time today for this, but I’ve been up since really early and just can’t get started….just poured the first cup of coffee and had the first sip so I guess I’ll have to wait a while….had a nice day yesterday with a top down run out and back for pool…which ended up in a tie for the first time in a while…even got a little color from the drive even with sunscreen on….and that won’t help to even out the bike tan that is looking quite weird…don’t have a lot to do today other than clean and watch the champions league final this aft…but that will be later, now I need to have more coffee and get ready to get on the bike….more later….
Paris climate accords…
Well….as the idiot manchild blunders around the world wreaking havoc everywhere he goes, he has now topped his disastrous European trip with pulling the US out of the Paris climate accords. and the reasons he used to justify it are just laughable…that he wants to negotiate a “better deal” for the US…with that comment you know he knows absolutely nothing about the agreement…I have news for you idiot…you be negotiating with yourself since every country that signed the agreement sets their own goals…it’s not imposed on us by some shadowy UN government as trump seems to think…and withdrawing puts us in the company of Syria and Nicaragua….and Nicaragua didn’t sign because they didn’t think the agreement went far enough. This idiot thinks that by pulling out of the agreement that coal jobs will come back…that’s not going to happen…natural gas, wind and solar are now cheaper than burning coal and no generating business is going to raise their cost just to appease trump. All across the globe, countries are getting out of the coal burning business with China cancelling all new coal plants and taking the lead in solar now that the US has abdicated it leadership of the world…this is making America great again? Impeach this stupid sun of a bitch before it’s too late…..

Well….running a little early today…how the heck can you be bored at 7:25 in the morning? Oh, well….had an okay day yesterday but didn’t get much done…again….but, I am going to wash the car this morning…that will probably be my accomplishment for the day since I’m hoping we shoot pool today…I think I may have cured my ant problem but I still have a few of them on the kitchen floor…they’re dead but they are still there…I do need to cook today since I don’t have any leftovers and I am going to try the new broiler on some ribs….woke up a little creaky today so I think I’ll take some ibuprofen before I get on the bike…should help with the cramps in my calves, too….not sure why but I had them just lying in bed last night and that is annoying…more later….
Trump rolls over for the Russians….
Well….if you had any doubt that the idiot trump is in the pockets of the Russians, another piece of damning evidence surfaced today with trump’s intention of giving back to them two estates that were taken by Obama for the Russians using them to spy on the US and interfere in our election. Yep, the idiot is now rewarding the Russians for electing him by allowing them to go back to estates that were and will be used to spy on the US…and this from the party that is supposed to be so strong on national defense and protecting the US from our enemies…let’s just give them more tools to spy on us….what’s next? The idiot trump lets them have their own office in the White House? This is one of the most idiotic things I have ever heard of….and that is going a long way after seeing all of the idiocy from trump and his cronies…impeach…
June 1st
Well…running a little late today with doing the grocery run and reading a real newspaper today….I did get a few things done yesterday and finally have a clean bathroom…but, I’m now fighting some big black ants that showed up a couple of days back…sprayed around the doors and in the kitchen and now I’m waiting to see if that worked….I did get the top down on the car this morning and that was cool…and I almost have the parking brake fixed..it just takes a little tug and it releases now so I’m on the right path…..and the new rear brakes are bedding in so I have much better brakes now….don’t have a lot to do today but more cleaning….and the normal stuff….the car needs to washed again with all of the dust around but I think I’ll wait until tomorrow to do it….it will just be dusty again in about an hour so I’m not sure why I keep doing it….more later….

Well….the noose tightens on the evil orange one today and I am grinning a little because of it…it was just announced a little while ago that the special prosecutor in the trump/Russia collusion investigation has just brought the head of the of the DOJ fraud division to help with the investigation. This is really, really bad news for the idiot trump…the person brought in, Andrew Weissmann, is a specialist in guess what? Corporate wrongdoing and foreign corruption. Some of his big cases were European banks who were gaming the system…where he got prosecutions and settlements in the tens of billions of dollars…and do you remember the VW emissions fraud case? Yep…this guy was responsible for nailing them. So, if trump is not curled up in a little ball in his bathrobe, I’m pretty sure he will be in the very near future…oh, and Mueller has the power to get trump’s tax returns which I think will be the place for Weissmann to start…get the popcorn ready…impeach….
