Well…with the fear of beating the whole situation in Ferguson to death, I think I’ll move on to other topics this afternoon and see where it goes…first, just read the Obama has grown a spine and has told Harry Reid that he will veto the bill that ole Harry has negotiated with house repubs that would have screwed the middle class by taking away tax breaks and giving them to business…yep, I’m not sure what the hell ole Harry it thinking but that is not what any dem that I would vote for would do….I can now see why people don’t think there is any difference between the parties. Why can’t our side start acting like dems? I applaud Obama for telling Harry it was a non-starter. I also applaud Nancy Pelosi for making sure that there would not be any dems voting to override any veto….hmmm…what’s second? Not much…I am done going out until Friday aft for pool and that feels good…got a bunch of stuff done today and ran a couple of errands but now, it’s veg time with soccer…champions league is not my favorite unless Man U is playing but it’s good for taking a nap…..more later…

Still can’t believe it…
Well…I am still marveling at the corkscrewing logic that was used by the prosecutor when he was announcing that the killer was not going to be indicted in the Ferguson case. It was so clear that he had an outcome that he wanted, to let the officer go free, and then worked backward to get to that point. There was so much prosecutorial misconduct here that I wonder why anyone even believed that there could be any fairness or justice…I am appalled at how blatant the rigging was from the news conferences where there was character assassination of the victim to the quite clear effort to ensure that there was no clear case of probable cause presented….the prosecutor should be brought up on malpractice charges and disbarred for this craven display of putting his thumb on the scale of justice so justice wouldn’t be served….geez…
Ferguson watch…
Well…this is kind of a placeholder in anticipation of the announcement of the grand jury findings in the Ferguson case tonight at 8pm. I have the sinking feeling that there is another whitewash that is going to happen but I hope to be proven wrong this time…how do you not get charged with something when you chase an unarmed man 140 feet from your cop car and then shoot him to death? I will try to come back for comments later tonight or early in the morning….
Well..I was right…no charges for a murder of an unarmed man…I guess it’s open season for cops now…they now know they can shoot anyone they want without any consequences…what the hell has happened to this country?
Zombie Benghazi…
Well…how many damn time do you have to kill the Benghazi nonsense before it stays dead? This week, for a fifth time, a commission found that there was no wrongdoing at all in the Benghazi affair…and this should shut the repubs up for a final time but the damn issue is just like zombie…it just won’t stay dead. Just hours after this report was released you had ole Lindsay Graham spouting off that ‘this report is crap” and vowing to rebut every point that agreed with every other report….this is what you get when the right thinks it can create it’s own facts…even when presented with the truth from many sources, if it doesn’t agree with their political spin they can’t believe it or won’t believe it…and will continue to spend yours and my tax dollars to continue with their fantasy “investigation” until…cripes I don’t know where the until even is…what can make delusional people abandon their delusion? Not sure…but, I hope it happens soon…geez…
Jeb now?
Well…do we really have to entertain that there will be another Bush running for president? It just makes my skin crawl after the debacle of ole GW that the repubs don’t have anyone else who is more qualified that another Bush…and ole Jeb is portraying himself as a “self-made man” when he has used the same family connections the GW used to tout his qualifications when it is well known that neither of these guys has done anything on their own…in fact, most of the businesses that ole Jeb has been involved with have ended up being seized by the government and many of the execs have gone to jail just as ole Jeb has bailed out of them….I wonder why he has been able to get away scott free from all of the messes he has left behind? Can you say connections? Just don’t even want to think about the wreck this country would be after another Bush craps all over it…geez…
Still delusional…
Well…with the things that have happened this week in politics, I thought I’d just remind everyone here just how delusional the repubs have become…let’s start with the lawsuit agianst Obama for delaying the employer mandate in Obamacare…something his administration had every right to do…and the delusional thing is that ole GW did the same thing with Medicare Part D when that was just being implemented…didn’t see any lawsuits or bitching from the repubs then…or any from the dems either since we understand that you have to change things on the fly sometimes…and the next delusion is the fact that what Obama is doing on immigration is not the unconstitutional/unlawful outrage that the delusional repubs are screaming about…in fact, every president since Eisenhower have done exactly the same thing….something like 49 times presidents have used their correct power to do something on immigration where the congress has neglected it duty to “pass something” as Obama said last week….I wonder when the adult repubs will step up and stop being delusional? Oh, that’s right, there are no adults left over there…geez…
Tom Coburn is a terrorist….
Well…I thought I’d seen it all but I guess not…with the battle over immigration policy raging in DC and the do nothing repubs frothing at the mouth that Obama is going to do their jobs for them, the latest from the senator from crazy, Tom Coburn goes way over the top to overt incitement to terrorism. Today, ole Tom came out and said that “they’re going to go nuts (talking about his supporters)…you could see instances of anarchy…you could see violence” tacitly approving that these are tactics that are perfectly appropriate as a response to a political dispute…one of the repubs own making. If I was more of a conspiracy theorist, I might think that this has been the plan all along…to gin up some reason to get his crazy assed followers to use their “second amendment remedies” to destroy what this country is all about…that political disputes are to be solved peacefully; that the transfer of power after elections is done peacefully without the crap that these folks are pushing…since they hate the fact that government needs to work to make a country work….they are doing everything in their power to ensure that it won’t work and then when their inflammatory rhetoric results in violence, they will stand back and say “see, I told you Obama is going too far” and the people agree with us…no matter that they won this last election with 19% of the vote of the people. It just like the gangster from the movies that says “gee, nice country you got there…it would be a shame if anything happens to it…” Inciting people to violence for political ends is the definition of terrorism…you should be ashamed Coburn…geez…
Immigration…..again…
Well…with all the howls from the right that any movement by Obama on immigration will be “the biggest abuse of power in the history of the world” and “an impeachable offense” I am laughing and laughing again at how stupid these folks are…or they can’t read or have really stupid staffs…if they didn’t, they would realize that two years ago the supreme court pre-approved many of the things that Obama plans to do…and that same ruling gave the executive branch wide leeway to do what they see fit on immigration….so, again, it doesn’t really matter what Obama does, if he breathes, “impeachment!” If he talks “Impeachment!” there is just no credibility that the right has these days since they refuse to do anything to deal with the problems with immigration…Obama has given the repubs two years to try to fix this mess and they have just sat there and bloviated without doing anything…so, it’s on their heads…I really do hope they sue Obama or impeach him over the immigration changes he will announce tomorrow…and then I will laugh when they get laughed out of court with the court citing the Arizona supreme court decision…what a bunch of maroons….geez…
Keystone XL…again…
Well…with the votes that are going on in the congress this week on trying to force Obama to approve the Keystone XL pipeline, I find it just delicious that the head of the Canadian company that wants to build the pipeline to bring dirty, dirty tar sands oil to the US has exploded the biggest repub argument for it….if you have listened to any of these morons on the right, you will have heard that the pipeline will bring anywhere from 5,000 to 50,000 permanent jobs to the US…but, there is one little problem, the person that really knows has said just today that there will be a maximum of 50 permanent jobs from the pipeline…yep, all that pollution, all the price increases that will hit the midwest (estimated to be upwards to 50 cents a gallon for gasoline) is all for 50 jobs…now if you’ll let me do a little bit of crude math with some assumptions in it…say a billion gallons of gas times a 50 cent per gallon increase is 500 million dollars that you and I will be paying out of our pockets to buy these 50 jobs….a cost of 10 million dollars per job…in anyone’s book, that is just stupid…I don’t mind paying more for gas if it fixes the roads here, but to just raise costs so the Koch brothers can make billions more is just frickin crazy…I hope Obama vetoes this ugly bill and gets back to the environmentalism he espoused on the campaign trail…we just don’t need this pipeline and the pollution that will come from it…geez…
Poisoning the well?
Well…I am laughing and laughing and laughing about the new repub talking point they trotted out in the past few days that says because Obama won’t do everything they want him to, and is going to do an executive order on immigration, he is “poisoning the well” of cooperation that the repubs are lying they would consider. I mean, c’mon…the fricking repubs have cornered the market on poison over the past 6 years…starting with ole Mitch stating that his only goal for the country was to defeat everything that Obama tried to do…and then you have the entire right going on an on about the birther nonsense…and that he is not an American…and on and on….I’m not sure what well they are talking about but the right has poisoned it, sold it to the Kochs and paved it over in the past 6 years…so, try not to laugh yourself to death when you hear this crap from the right…geez…
