Well…I am trying to recreate this one from this morning since it just disappeared from the site and I can’t find it. It was a fun day yesterday with going out with Tom and shooting pool which I lost for the second week in a row. I did get out with K, too and saw some people I haven’t seen in quite a while…had a lot of fun….I did get the car fixed this morning but who knows how long that is going to last? You know…I just can’t remember what I wrote this morning so I’m just going to write this one off and go make a cocktail…

Yeah, I know I’ve been lazy…
Well…it’s been another day where my outrage has died a little more and that is the major reason that the political stuff here has dwindled so much. It’s not like I haven’t been trying, but life and the mundane has been occupying my head way too much and has crowded out most other thoughts. It didn’t help that I didn’t get the papers today but I had to get the car fixed first thing in the morning when I normally would have been getting coffee and reading. And, the online papers are just not enough to get me fired up…so, I’m going to end today with the same old tired promise that I’ll get better at this and get back to the high energy, lucid stuff I used to write….I may even come back to this one later tonight after I have the first cocktail…who knows?
Okay…I did just have a tiny little flicker of outrage….the repubs are at it again…they are holding up the payroll tax cuts that would benefit working Americans and keep the recovery going just to reward their rich backers in the oil industry by betting the polluting Keystone pipeline approved. Have you ever seen a more naked grab for the rich than this? Geez….

Well…I guess I’ve never told you why I’ve stopped quoting lyrics in my daily posts here and I really want to share that with you guys….I have gotten a few e-mails from record companies telling me that I am violating their copyrights by using the lyrics…even though I make no profit from this stuff….so, I guess I’ll challenge them to come after me…I don’t really have anything left for them to take so what the hell….

Well…in case you haven’t heard, there is a new military spending bill wending it’s way through the congress that has a very troubling provision in it…in the guise of fighting terrorism, there are provisions in this bill that will essentially gut the constitution and make it no longer applicable to yours or my rights as citizens of the US. What this bill will allow the government to do is detain indefinitely, any US citizen, even caught on US soil who is even suspected of any connection with terror or terrorist support. The government would not have to present any proof that this person had committed any crime and the person held would have no recourse to challenge the detention…in direct contravention to the 4th amendment, and habeas corpus. This means that the president would have more power than King George the Third who we fought in the revolutionary war and could lock our citizens up in the equivalent of the Tower of London. The worst part of this is this is bi-partisan nonsense with even dems like Carl Levin of Michigan supporting this egregious destruction of our civil liberties. I need you folks to write to your legislators and Obama and tell them in no uncertain terms that you will not accept this destruction of what this country stands for…I have…geez….
December 15th
Well…it was a day yesterday and I never set foot out of this place…but, that won’t be the case today….it was okay, though, with the “Heroes” marathon I was on….it really helped pass the time and it is not a bad show….might even make paying for Netflix this month worth it….and with it being a no cocktail night…I feel okay and I’m looking forward to the day…not much to do today…I do need to go out for groceries in a few minutes and I skipped working out yesterday so I’ll have to do that…and I may have a couple later with K…haven’t seen her for a couple of weeks and that would be nice….it is going to be hard to spend the money for groceries today, though, since I’ll be spending money I don’t have….but, I do need to have food that is not fish…more later….
Oh, I do have another one for later….about the latest attempt to shred the constitution…and this one is bi-partisan…
What a day…
Well…it has been a extremely weird day with staying in for the whole thing…didn’t even go out for coffee since that would have cost me the last 6 bucks I have…oh, I said that earlier didn’t I? Well…the entire day has been a “Heroes” marathon and I am on the 12th episode today…not a bad show and it got me through the day quite easily…but, the boredom has come back and with it being a no cocktail night, it may be a little tough to get through it…
Okay…just one little comment…did you see that ole Scott Walker in Wisconsin wants to start charging anyone who wants to protest in Wisconsin 50 dollars an hour for each police officer he sends in to break up the protest…yep, you heard it right…ole Scott wants to charge people to use public property to exercise their constitutional rights…these guys just love the constitution until people they don’t agree with are protected by it… what’s next….will he start charging people to vote or die? Geez…
December 14th
Well…another night, another good Wings game that made the night go by pretty fast…I was the text hub for the game last night and it was a little fun…but slept like crap and feel pretty lousy this morning…and it looks like I’ll be staying in today since I only have 6 bucks in my pocket and going out for coffee would take it all….so, I’m going to hunker down here today and clean to take my mind off being broke…maybe watch a couple of movies, too, but I just looked through Netflix and there is nothing I want to see….I guess I’ll figure something out…not much to do today…have to try to find something to cook but there is nothing in the freezer but fish and I am getting tired of it…maybe some turkey soup….more later…
Can Rick Perry be this dumb?
Well…I have been getting more and more amazed every time ole Rick opens his mouth over the past couple of weeks. Can anyone running for president be that dumb? Okay, yeah, I know, most of the repubs that are running are that dumb but the stupidity just oozes out of ole Rick. I’m sure you’ve heard of the last couple from the idiot…..at a campaign stop last week, Rick wasn’t sure what date the election was on and he then compounded that with thinking that the voting age was still 21 years. But, here’s the capper…this idiot doesn’t even know how many supreme court justices there are…coming up with 8 instead of 9….I don’t know where these idiots come from but back in my earlier years, folks like this would be laughed off the stage….geez…

December 13th
Well….as I add the titles to these, I get this feeling that my life is slowly slipping by in those numbers…..and it is 5 in the morning again and I am up; sitting here trying to make my brain stop and not having a lot of success. Today may be a lost day again…I can’t see it being a success at all…maybe a survival day….trying to smile and make it all go away but I’m getting less and less certain that that is possible anymore. So, I’ll be back later to try to add to this one but I can’t promise that it will happen….
Okay..two days of wallowing and that is just enough…so, it’s time to get going again and stop this nonsense. it has been an okay week but the car is still not fixed right….only got one day out of the gasket this time but I’m not going to take it back until tomorrow or thurs…did get the bike ride in and it was a good one…it does make a difference when I eat before I go…had some energy today and it felt pretty good. Not much else to do today…I was up at 4:40 so I may take a nap and not feel guilty about it…or I might…still not completely out of the black hole yet…more later…and I mean it this time…
December 12th
Well…it was an excruciating day yesterday and I am now just beginning to see the light again…but I have been busy this morning..took the car back in again and I think they may have fixed it finally…that is one thing I won’t have to think about for a while now I hope…but I’m still broke so that is another problem that has to be dealt with..but not right now…I do need to get back into the fitness routine since it looks like I have 4 days that I can still ride the bike…my eyes have been bad all morning and I can’t see too well even with my glasses on…that is kind of weird but I don’t think it’s anything serious….not much to do today…geez…even my fingers aren’t working too well so maybe I’ll keep this one short and come back later for another one…I do owe you one on politics, after all…
Okay…I’m back for a minute…it’s been a whirlwind day with going out the door at 7:30 to have the car fixed and then have been working on some resume revisions for a contract job that I applied for….so, I may not get to the political one today…but I will promise that I will get caught up tomorrow and have a couple extra ones….
