Well..Okay, I know, I’m running really late this morning and, as always, I’m not sure why….I did have to go over to Meijers to get some rice for the slow cooker chicken and rice concoction that I am making today…no recipe, just using stuff that I had after making soup the other day…and then I had to put it together but that only took about 5 minutes…maybe it’s the fact that I stayed up late to watch the post debate coverage after the Tigers game….who knows? I did sleep okay and it may be that I’m using ear plugs at night so as to not hear the furnace from the unit above me since the hearing centers in your brain keep working even when you are sleeping…saw that on a show on discovery or science the other day…it looks like it is going to be warm enough to go out in a t-shirt today so I need to get moving and get the workout done…more later…

This is what’s wrong with Romney’s vison of America…
Well…just had to do a short one on a bit of news that was revealed in the papers today that reveals in stark, graphic detail what is wrong with ole Mitt’s vision for America. In case you haven’t heard, the CEO of Citigroup retired today, under duress, and walked away with a golden parachute of almost 290 million dollars and he and the incestous board of directors feels that he deserved it….yeah, he deserved it when he presided over an almost 90 percent decline in shareholder value over his tenure…and this means something since, if you have an IRA or 401K, you probably lost money on this deal…in effect, this crook walked away with your money and my money and ole Mitt doesn’t think there is anything wrong with it…how do these people live with themselves? geez…
I just can’t believe it..
Well…with the latest polls that show that women are now putting ole Mitt ahead in the national race, I just can’t believe it. I know that it jibes with the rest of the folks that vote republican…those lower income folks that don’t seem to realize that by voting for them, they are cutting their own throats, they are giving up Medicare and Social Security; programs that these people count on to continue to live and have lives that are not mired in the abject poverty which was prevalent before they came along. But, the biggest puzzlement to me is the swing of women voters to ole Mitt…what the hell are they thinking? do they want their bodies to be controlled by the government and not by them? Do they want the recovery that is now just getting moving stopped in its tracks by the misguided ideas that have been proven wrong time and again? Do they want their 401K’s and IRAs to take another hit like they did under the 8 years of Bush? I just can’t understand what women are thinking these days….or anyone else that would vote for ole Mitt…maybe there is an outbreak of mass stupidity…what other explanation is there?
October 16th
Well..it was a kind of busy day yesterday with lunch with T and then out for a couple with G and the bug is still hanging on but maybe there is light at the end of the tunnel…but, I thought that about a week ago and was wrong then…hope I’m not wrong now…there were dreams again last night but they were kind of nondescript so I don’t remember them….it is going to be kind of an exciting day today with the Tigers going with Verlander and the debate…so the remote will get a workout again…might have to get new batteries to make it it will make it through…and I have to run some errands this morning to get some stuff done around here later…and I do need to come back and do my job here that I have not been doing lately…or not well, anyway…more later…
Still not a lot going on…
Well…I guess politics is in a lull in front of the debate tomorrow night so I think I’ll deal with some other stuff instead…first, there is the win in the second game of the alcs by our Tigers and I am so happy that the blown call at second base didn’t mean anything since the Yanks never scored a run…and we have Verlander on the mound tomorrow night so that will be a game to have a cocktail with…and keep the remote warmed up so I can flick to the debate…it was nice to have lunch with T today but I am a little tired so I think I’ll head for the couch and take a nap before I go out with g later…
October 15th
Well…it was a long day yesterday with going out for a while and losing at pool and then all of the sports that was on tv…and I am worn out today but I did have some dreams that included trains in the snow, the White House, and a plane that didn’t move….I do feel crappy today and I now know that it is another bug since I was good yesterday…up and down all night didn’t help and my stomach is giving me fits so I am going to stop here and make coffee to see if that will help…more later…
October 14th
Well…it was a long night and I am feeling like crap from another bug…or the same one I’ve had for a couple of weeks…not sure yet but it’s one of those…sweating like crazy and coughing again…I tried to stay up for the end of the Tiger’s game but Valverde was up to his crap of giving the game away again and I got so disgusted that I went to bed…they did win in 12, though, but Leyland should stop using him…oh, well, that’s one for sports…I’ve already updated on the soup from yesterday so that’s not a topic….hmmmmm….skipped the bike ride yesterday with it raining all day and I would like to get one in this morning but it is still raining so I guess I’ll just have to wait and see…it’s already 65 degrees and it would be nice to get out in just a t shirt…I guess I’ll just get another cup of coffee and read the online papers while I wait for the radar to clear….more later…
Paul Ryan is still a hypocrite…
Well…I just had to comment on the revelations of how much a hypocrite ole Ryan is when it comes to the favorite talking point of the repubs, the supposed “failure” of the stimulus that he has hyped and hyped on the campaign trail…and, I know I point this out all the time, but Ryan and the rest of the repubs are so two faced about this subject that it is breathtaking…loving stimulus and government spending to create jobs when ole GW was in office, but calling it a socialist plot when a dem president proposes it. To even top that, though, ole Ryan was at the head of the line to ask for stimulus money when the bill passed the dem controlled congress and he now says he was just doing his job when he asked for the money. How much more hypocritical can these guys get? I guess we’ll find out the next time they open their mouths…the shame is that Americans don’t seem to care that the whole repub campaign is based on mendacity…one of my favorite words from “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof”…..geez…
Just an update…
Well..just haven’t been feeling it with politics lately so I think I’ll just start writing and see what happens…it has been an okay day today with Michigan blowing out Illinois and the ham soup I made coming out much better than I expected with an almost minestrone like taste….the last batch I made was primarily a bean soup with ham and it was not good…had no taste…I am getting excited about the night that is going to start in a few minutes with a race and the Tigers starting the ALCS against the Yankees…and the Yanks are easy to hate so it should make for a fun night…I think I have another bug, though, with a sore throat and coughing again and I don’t like it at all….oh, well…I’ll probably survive it…it’s cocktail time so I am going to watch the rest of the ND game and then make one…I will try to get more political tomorrow but I can’t promise anything…
October 13th
Well…it was a day yesterday and I really don’t remember much of it other than getting the chance to go out for a while and see K and J…it was almost 3 weeks since I’ve seen them and I think I’m getting to be too much of a hermit…and some of that is driven by being broke but I think most of it is just inertia…it’s just easier to hang out here than it is to go out…and cheaper, too. I do have things to do today…but, again, they are all here at my place…making ham bone soup today with the leftovers from the last three hams I bought and I can’t wait to see how it comes out…the last try was not good but this one is more like the turkey and chicken soup that I make so it has a better chance at being edible…and then there are the sports that are on today…we have Michigan, the Tigers and a race to watch later so it looks like a total veg day…I will be back for another one later since I am one behind for the month and I may even have something to say…
