Well…amid all the doom and gloom over Scott Walker keep the gov’s seat in Wisconsin…one thing was lost in the coverage…that the dems took control of the Senate there which basically shuts down the right wing, billionaire bought agenda of the Koch brothers….they did save the office for him and the Citizens United decision allowed the right to raise and spend over 60 million dollars to around 4 for the democratic challenger since the repubs rigged the fundraising laws that would make sure any challenger would not be able to compete…just like the repubs are trying to rig elections all over the country. I don’t for one minute believe that the majority on the supreme court didn’t know that this would happen…I think they knew that most of the billionaires are repubs and would advance the repub causes across the country…a frankly cynical ploy that makes all of the conservative justices unfit for office….but, as I have always said…when the repubs can’t win elections fair and square, they will always lie, cheat, and steal to get their way…they are as un-American as you can get…geez…
June 7th
Well…another night of 4 hours of sleep and this is getting to be annoying…it’s a little after 5 and I don’t have anything to do so I thought I’d just sit here an think for a while…I did have a dream last night that was just a short snippet but it involved lightning and was kind of scary….but, other than that, nothing, and that is normally how it works when I’m not sleeping…I may have to go with the otc sleeping pills again for a while since I am exhausted and just can’t keep this up…It was a good day yesterday with figuring out the headrest speakers on the car but now I have to decide what to do about them…I may go out and look for some new ones today but it is Thursday and grocery run day so I may have to wait until tomorrow…although, I was planning on making a GH run tomorrow with the top down so I may have to re think….I will be back with a political one later in the morning since I’m up so early….more later…
Okay…just a little update on the happenings of the morning…I decided to go out and look at speakers since the rattle behind my ear was starting to really annoy me and found a set at Best Buy for half price…only 28 bucks for a 4 inch two way pair that are rated at 200 watts….and it took me about 2 minutes to install them…they barely fit, though, and I may take it back apart and cut the mounting tabs off them since they are not necessary…with those speakers, the car is now complete and I can run the stereo as loud as I want…when you get it up there now the whole seat vibrates with the bass and it feels really cool….
Have to talk about Wisconsin…
Well…it was a sad day yesterday when the dems couldn’t even beat the idiot Scott Walker and I am starting to get concerned that they are bringing a knife to a gun fight with the amounts of money that the billionaires have spent to get their puppets elected across the country. But, it’s no one’s fault but the dems who have not come up with any new ideas to fight the money or to raise the money to match from the left….the worst thing about the whole deal over there is now the repubs will be crowing about defeating labor and will continue to gut the middle class since they have been so successful at it for the past few years…more and more nonsense that the people just seem to eat up….I can’t figure it out…geez…
June 6th
Well…it was a long night last night with no sleep at all…have been up since 4 and with this being two days in a row of this, I am really worn out today…and disappointed about the Wisconsin election yesterday…but, life goes on and I need to get over it…another example of the toxic damage that unlimited money is doing to the country…but, that’s not for here….I was going to go out and hit some golf balls today but I’m not sure…I think I’ll just play it by ear today…I do need to get some different sunscreen for the car…maybe some of the spray on clear stuff….more later….
Okay…just found out a cool thing about my car…one of the speakers in the headrest is going bad and I thought it was going to be a huge project to replace it…well…it has a zipper that you unzip to get to the speakers and you can take them out in about 30 seconds…so, I’m going to look for speakers this week and get it replaced…yay…
Another part two….
Well….it has been a busy morning with the normal workout and bike ride but then I had to take the title for the old car out to the boneyard that took it…a really nice drive with the top down and then got a pleasant surprise of $100 bucks they paid me for the wreck…I was just shocked but really happy to get the extra cash….and I did get a photo of the car that I didn’t get at the wreck so that was cool, too….and I am really getting to like my new car more and more as I drive it…put premium in it (like I’m supposed to) and it seems much happier…so I am, too….
Buying an election in Wisconsin…
Well…since it is election day in Wisconsin, I thought I’d write a couple of lines here about it and see if I can be at least a little lucid…it has been a struggle lately to have something to say and I’m not sure why…but, I’ll just keep trying….so, let’s get on to the election…it looks like Scott Walker may win it…no matter that he hasn’t created one job, he has taken away rights from the working class, and he has divided a state that was once united in doing what was right for everyone in the state. I guess when you inject over 35 million dollars of the 1%’s money into an election, you can fool the people into voting for anything…so, it looks like the Koch brothers have bought themselves a state and with it have driven another nail into the coffin of bi-partisanship….it is a sad day….
June 5th
Well…it was a long one yesterday and I feel a little under the weather today…I really do think it’s allergies since I have been sneezing and coughing like crazy….I did lose at pool yesterday but it was a hard fought battle so I feel okay about it….I had weird dreams but nothing that I can share…since I don’t remember it….my neck is hurting again and I can barely move it and it is getting to be a real pain since it’s been a few weeks now and I’m not sure what the problem is…okay…going back to the couch for a few…
A funny thing…
Well..I was going to talk about trail weirdness today but I forgot what it was so I won’t do that one….there was a strange thing that happened today with the car….a switch flipped and it was my car…you know how that goes….at least I hope you do….it was someone else’s car that I had bought…but today, it turned into my car and that is a good thing….yep, you know that I’m weird and this one shouldn’t have been a surprise….I did have to get two out today and tomorrow, I promise that I will have one about Wisconsin and the Venus transit across the sun…so come on back…
June 4th
Well…my site is screwed up this morning and I just lost the post I just put together…so, I have to try to remember it…not an easy thing right now….it was a cocktail night last night so I am moving a little slow today…I am thinking about putting the top down and going out for the papers and coffee…one of the guys that work here brought me some smoked salmon this morning and I am thinking about some cream cheese and a toasted bagel with the salmon….more later…
Just realized I lost a post from yesterday about Paul Krugman and I am more than a little irritated….it’s hard enough to do two of these a day without having the site conspire against me….oh, well….I did get the bagel and cream cheese and with crumbling some smoked salmon on top, I think I’ve found my new favorite food….

Well…just wanted to do a short one on the happenings of the day that had to do with the car….when I went out to get the paper this morning, the belts started shrieking and slipping and did it for about 15 seconds….when it did it again when I went out to run an errand, I remembered that it is a real wheel drive car (a real head slapper) and that it may be packaged so I could get at the belt adjusters without having to jack the car up and crawl under it….like I had to with the MX-6….well….5 minutes later I had both belts adjusted and it was just so cool to be able to do those things on a car again…to be able to use the knowledge that I learned over a lifetime of working on cars….I think I have this mental image of the Miata as an English sports car that had to be worked on just to keep it on the road…but a reliable one….it was fun to work on today….
