Well…I’m sure you heard this idiots comments on the Planned Parenthood nonsense when he said that he didn’t know why we needed to spend 500 million dollars on women’s health…yeah, that is pretty stupid…but he really topped himself at a foreign policy seminar yesterday where he said that the Iraq war was “a good deal” and he would do it again even knowing that the reasons for going to war there were all lies. Here’s the cost of his “good deal”…over 4400 dead US soldiers (not counting the PTSD affected ones that came home and killed themselves), over 115,000 dead Iraqis, 1.7 TRILLION dollars in direct costs that possibly could balloon to over 6 trillion dollars once the total costs of care for the troops is counted….I don’t know if he is stupid or just cynical but to me, and anyone else, this could never be a “good deal”….war is never a “good deal” and the toll on the military and our country done by his “good deal” will never be repaired…I just hate this guy and his entire family…geez…

JEB! crashes and burns on foreign policy…
Well….in what was supposed to be a defining speech that would show ole JEB!’s foreign policy chops, his speech at the Reagan library instead exposed the shallow, naive person that ole JEB! is especially on the middle east. His speech did the normal crap that is red meat to the right….Obama bad, Hillary bad and right wing policies of intervention are good and necessary and the only thing that will bring peace to the middle east….but the whole problem here is that the interventionist crap plays well with the right in this country but is ridiculed by the rest of the world for what they are…the purile thoughts of someone out of his depth and is reliving the bad decisions of the neocons that roiled the middle east in the first place….but the big thing is his statement that he will rescind the Iran deal on day one if he is elected…but the rest of the signatories to the agreement and the UN are saying “not so fast”…you can’t abrogate an international agreement unilaterally on a whim….and that sums up the unreality where ole JEB! lives….he lives in the same fantasy world where his party resides…that the US can do anything they damn well please and everyone else just has to take it….he is just detached from reality…and will never be elected…ever…geez…
It is to laugh, JEB!
Well…just read an article that made me laugh out loud on the new attack that JEB! is trying to level against Obama and Hillary…and it goes like this…that Iraq was in control and everything would have been just fine if that darn Obama would have just kept up the policies of ole GW…and that ISIS is the fault of Obama, too since something, something….yeah, I know…you’re laughing, too at this bit of absurdist revision of history…never mind that the entire upheaval in the middle east was caused by his lying brother and his cronies who lied and lied us into a fake war that they wanted…and that ole GW’s policy of disbanding the Iraqi army with nothing to take it’s place is what is fueling ISIS now….most of it’s leadership comes from the officer class of the army who were summarily dismissed by Bremer, the idiot. So, I can’t wait for the rebuttal by Hillary who has been more and more of an attack dog against the repubs on the campaign trail and won’t let JEB! slide on this one…should be fun to watch….
Jeb loves this guy…
Well…when asked last week what author has had the biggest impact on him, ole Jeb said Charles Murray…the guy who wrote “The Bell Curve” that posited that black people are genetically less intelligent than everyone else and has recently published a new book “By the People: Rebuilding Liberty Without Permission” that basically says that since people are too stupid to agree with conservative principles and won’t make them law, rich people should challenge the ones they don’t like in court until the government gives up governing. Yep, ole Jeb loves a guy that hates America so much that he is willing to destroy it if he and his ilk don’t get their way like damn little children….if there was any question that ole Jeb is not too bright….here’s the answer…geez…
Jeb just keeps digging…
Well…just read a new piece over at Kos and thought I should comment on it…but first, happy birthday to Pete Townsend…70 years old today…okay, back to Jeb…his pandering to the religious right just got deeper yesterday with his weighing in on the religious “freedom” laws that are propagating in repub controlled states and on the idea that christians should be allowed to discriminate against anyone they want since it is part of their “faith”….here’s the money quote…actually a paraphrase: faith means the ability to do whatever they think is right based on their faith…..did you get that one? Ole Jeb believes that faith gives you the right to pick and choose whatever laws you want to follow….so you think it’s right to murder doctors that perform abortions? A-OK with Jeb. If you think it’s alright to murder people that are not the “right” color….A-OK with Jeb….you can see where this pandering is going, right? They guy who is running to protect the Constitution and our laws is giving a little wink to the religious nuts with that old quote form Orwell’s “Animal Farm” ”everyone’s equal but pigs are a little more equal than the others”….so now he is going to create a “special” protected class that get’s to do whatever they damn well please…as if they don’t already…geez…
A better question to ask…
Well…there has been a little uproar with the media in the past few days when many of them have been asking the repub presidential contenders the question “would you still invade Iraq with what we know now?”….but, that is the wrong question for me…the real question that should be asked is “would you allow your administration to manufacture a reason to take the country to war?” I admit that would be a pretty easy one to answer….and, I’m not sure if it would be pertinent or not, but what it would do is stop the media sanitizing how we got involved in Iraq in the first place and remind everyone that ole GW and Cheney lied to the world and America almost 200 times in the run up to the war. That needs to be shouted from the rooftops…especially since a lot of the liars from ole GW’s administration are getting back in place for Jeb’s run and are part of Rubio’s, too….that would be a story that I would like to see run somewhere in the media…geez…
This is stupid…
Well…have been thinking about the nonsense that has been going on about ole Jeb’s response to the Iraq war question that went something like this…”knowing what we know now, would you go to war in Iraq?”…..and ole Jeb fumbled it for almost a week before he said no…but, that’s not the real question here since they DID know what we know now….ole Jeb’s brother W and Cheney knew then that there were no WMD’s and that Saddam was no threat to anyone but his own people…but they lied to us and went to war because they wanted a war…and wanted to reward their buddies in the MIC with war profits that they couldn’t steal if there was no war. It makes me almost puke when I hear the repubs changing the question away from the fact that they lied us into a war that killed hundreds of thousands of people and cost trillions…almost making it seem that the Iraq war is just a “hypothetical” as ole Jeb seems to think it is….geez….
Jeb is just as dumb as GW…
Well…read this little nugget of crazy the other day but forgot about it until I was reading the paper today….as you know, ole Jeb is running for president and guess who he has as one of his “top” advisers on foreign policy….ole GW…yep, that GW, the one who manufactured evidence and lied us into a war that has cost almost 3 trillion dollars…and Jeb is supposed to be the smart one? And, he went on at Liberty University the other day that anyone else that would have been president at the time would have done the same thing given the “facts” that they had…..no, Jeb, because any other president who didn’t have Darth Cheney as their VP wouldn’t have had a the “facts” that you had…the lies that there were wmd, that Saddam was working on a nuclear weapon….and on and on….I’m not sure what is the more stupid thing…to invade Iraq in the first place…killing hundreds of thousands and setting the stage for ISIS to rise in the power vacuum, or to know how big a mistake it was and still support it….that from the “smart” Bush….Jeb is just as dumb as GW and we don’t need another moron in the White House…geez…
Jeb now?
Well…do we really have to entertain that there will be another Bush running for president? It just makes my skin crawl after the debacle of ole GW that the repubs don’t have anyone else who is more qualified that another Bush…and ole Jeb is portraying himself as a “self-made man” when he has used the same family connections the GW used to tout his qualifications when it is well known that neither of these guys has done anything on their own…in fact, most of the businesses that ole Jeb has been involved with have ended up being seized by the government and many of the execs have gone to jail just as ole Jeb has bailed out of them….I wonder why he has been able to get away scott free from all of the messes he has left behind? Can you say connections? Just don’t even want to think about the wreck this country would be after another Bush craps all over it…geez…
It’s about time…
Well…while I sit here watching the England France match, I thought I’d try to make some sense of the ideas that have been rattling around in my head today…one of the first is that I think it’s about time for a couple of things that have happened over the past day or so…the first of these is that one of the repubs has come out and said that the party has lost it’s way with all of the hostage taking on the debt and taxes…that came from ole Jeb Bush and he went on to comment that his father and Reagan would not be accepted in today’s party and something needs to be done about it…that they need to actually govern, not just oppose…
The second thing is a commentary done by E.J. Dionne in the Post today where he asserts that those on the left and center need to respond when the anti-government zealots keep screaming their heads off that government can’t do anything right….when all of us know that there are many things that only the government can and will do. Do you think that companies will spend their own money to stimulate the economy in a recession? Not on your life and I think E.J. is right that there are so many successes by government that we need to stop being afraid that the right will attack when we defend the role of government…they’re going to attack anyway so why be afraid of that? Geez…
