Well…wow, lots of stuff to talk about on the foreign policy stage today and after the chaos of the past 4 years, we have a coherent policy taking shape that will start to restore our standing in the world. First, and something that went basically unnoticed when it was announced two weeks ago, the US is entering back into talks with Iran on their nuclear program that was discarded by the idiot trump and that lead to Iran advancing it’s uranium enrichment that has been stopped under the agreement negotiated by damn near all of the world that trump crapped all over…now, it’s going to be slow going since no one in the world trusts us anymore after the incompetence of trump and his cronies but at least diplomacy is back and is retaking it’s rightful place in foreign policy. Second, Joe has done what I have advocated for years…he is getting us out of Afghanistan in September after 20 long years of losing our soldiers to a war that has no reason for being other than to enrich defense companies…I know the hawks out there are wringing their hands about it but nothing we can do will change the outcome there…so let’s declare victory and go home. Third, and the coolest thing yet is the announcement of stiff sanctions on Russia, Putin, and his oligarch cronies for their interference in our elections and the hacking of most of the US government last year…and hey, let’s contrast that to the previous guy who had the same information from the intelligence agencies and didn’t do a damn thing since he just loved him some Putin. Joe even went farther than expected when he tied Paul Manafort to Konstantin Kilimnik and stated that Manafort gave information to Kilimnik who then gave it to Russia and it’s intelligence agencies to allow them to micro target our election and install the idiot trump….so, and I know we knew this before, there was collusion between the trump campaign and Russia that got trump elected…and no matter how many times trump chants “no collusion” the truth is the truth…and I hope these sanctions crash the Russian economy and stirs a revolt against the murderer Putin….it is so cool that we finally have someone with backbone as president who will look out for the country and not just himself…go Joe…

Scott Walker and foreign policy?
Well…yeah…I’ll bet you’re laughing just as much as I am with that title…for the transparent one, the guy that says his favorite foreign policy initiative is when Saint Ronnie fired the air traffic controllers…yeah, that’s right…and this idiot thinks that he can take on the world just because he and his cronies screwed the public sector unions in Wisconsin…the last time I looked, the unions in Wisconsin didn’t have an army or nukes….and, if I remember correctly, ole Scott snuck out the back door to avoid talking to anyone that was protesting his gutting of the unions….that’s some bravery right there. What is going to be different about idiot boy’s foreign policy? I’m sure he is just going to tick off the boxes that all of the other repubs have in the campaign…no Iran agreement, bomb Iran on the first day….yadda, yadda…..look, this guy can’t even talk unless it is from the script handed to him by the Kochs so why should anyone listen to him? Can’t think of one reason…geez…
JEB! crashes and burns on foreign policy…
Well….in what was supposed to be a defining speech that would show ole JEB!’s foreign policy chops, his speech at the Reagan library instead exposed the shallow, naive person that ole JEB! is especially on the middle east. His speech did the normal crap that is red meat to the right….Obama bad, Hillary bad and right wing policies of intervention are good and necessary and the only thing that will bring peace to the middle east….but the whole problem here is that the interventionist crap plays well with the right in this country but is ridiculed by the rest of the world for what they are…the purile thoughts of someone out of his depth and is reliving the bad decisions of the neocons that roiled the middle east in the first place….but the big thing is his statement that he will rescind the Iran deal on day one if he is elected…but the rest of the signatories to the agreement and the UN are saying “not so fast”…you can’t abrogate an international agreement unilaterally on a whim….and that sums up the unreality where ole JEB! lives….he lives in the same fantasy world where his party resides…that the US can do anything they damn well please and everyone else just has to take it….he is just detached from reality…and will never be elected…ever…geez…
Finally some spine…
Well…I hope Obama has learned something from the debate and the result that someone with no regard for the truth can have…if you don’t mind lying all the time, it is easy to make people think you know what you are talking about and to refute what your opponent says. But, some spine seems to be growing in the Obama camp and the new ads that call ole Mitt out as a liar…using the footage from the debate to point out that almost everything Mitt said was a lie…and what he continues to say is just more and more lies culminating in the so-called foreign policy speech where he just copied what Obama has been doing and presenting it as new or different. One more thing we must remember is the fact that the “Arab Spring” was not driven by the US in any way…it was an uprising of the people of those sovereign states and to denigrate those that were lost fighting for their freedom is just more of the tone deafness that Romney shows whenever he talks about foreign policy…the incompetence is must mind boggling…geez…
More Romney nonsense…
Well….I think the transformation of ole Mitt into Obama is complete today with his “major” foreign policy speech where he was going to lay out his “better way” on foreign policy…the only problem with that is he basically just restated Obama’s policies and called them his own and new. When is this country going to wake up to the fact that this guy is just the worst sort of panderer who has no core, no beliefs of his own and start to really listen to what this idiot is saying? First he says tax cuts for the rich and then no tax cuts for the rich…what is he going to do if he is elected? You know it will be all tax cuts, all the time and more wars that the neocons that are running his foreign policy want…especially with Iran. I for one, have had enough of the rehabilitation of the neocons that got us into the two wars the repubs didn’t pay for giving us the ballooning debt we have now… wake up, people…geez…
A good article on foreign policy…
Well…it has been really quite comical seeing the repub candidates try to one-up each other on the toughness of their proposed foreign policy…to hear them talk there will be no nuance or discussion with either our friends or enemies and under the repubs foreign policy will be reduced to one mantra “shoot first and ask questions later”. But, the reasons why are so varied and include the rise of other powers in the world both economically and militarily. I did read an article in the Washington Post today by Fareed Zakaria that does a much better job than I can in explaining these changes…here’s the link….http://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/the-post-american-world-demands-a-new-approach-from-the-us/2012/02/01/gIQAba5ziQ_story.html?hpid=z3
