Well…not sure if you have heard of this nonsense but I read about it a few days ago and wanted to make a short comment. In the past week or so, Marco Rubio has been telling everyone that will listen that he hates the senate and won’t run for re-election…and this has really shown in his behavior lately…having compiled the worst attendance and voting record of anyone in the senate. This coming from a person that famously said a few weeks ago about some other government official that if they won’t do their jobs, they should just quit…so, Marco, take your own advice and stop stealing your pay for the next year…pay, by the way, that is $174,000 dollars a year and that I’m sure most people wouldn’t whine about….this is the typical repub these days…bitch and complain when you have it better than most of the people in this country and make excuses for not doing your job….if the senate is too hard for you, why the hell are you running for president? So you can quit when it gets too hard like sister Sarah…what a crass little whiner…geez…

Just thinking…
Well…I have been thinking of what to write about this afternoon and have come up empty…Trump hasn’t said anything today and the rest of the idiots on the right are just doing the argle bargle that they normally do…Rubio came out and said he supports what BLM is trying to do but then said that the government has no role in fixing the disparity in policing that is felt by blacks in this country…trying to have it both ways much? Just another mealy mouthed nothing from the water boy…and we have Walker saying that he would appoint a Wisconsin education activist to his cabinet and the activist saying “no frickin way” he would serve in a Walker administration and he hasn’t even talked to the idiot in over two years….another lying lie from the liar who is trying to blur his hard right hatred for education and teachers on the back of dems who are actually trying to make things better….I can’t believe there is even going to be another repub debate in September…really, what’s the point? they all read from the same talking points and are interchangeable, so why listen? The first one was for entertainment value and to laugh at their incompetence…but, that wears thin after a while so I won’t be watching the next one…geez…
Marco Rubio is still an idiot..
Well…have been meaning to do this one for a long time…at least since I read about it last week….as you know, there is a crisis with college debt in this country with many people coming out owing in the hundreds of thousands of dollars for a bachelor’s degree…but wait, ole Marco has a solution to that problem…and that is…drumroll please, to find a rich person and sell yourself to them…yep, ole Marco doesn’t want to make it more affordable…nope that’s not the repub way…he actually said that you should sell yourself to a rich person by having them pay for your college and then you owe them 10% of your wages for the rest of your life. Man, I don’t know if he has read any history in his life, but that kind of thing was called indentured servitude and it was outlawed many years ago….I can just see it now, you sell yourself and then that rich person controls your life forever….want to take a different job…have to check with the slaveowner, want to move to another state, check with your slaveowner…you get the drift….I am astounded by the stupidity of these people….geez…
Congress is back…
Well…I have been trying to think about what to write today and it occurred to me that congress is back so tomorrow there should be some right wing nonsense to comment on…but today, I still need to think of something…maybe a grab bag one would be in order….I did laugh the other day when ole Marco Rubio declared that he is going to run for president…yep, still laughing today…there is no damn way that idiot is ever going to be president…I think it’s just a grift to get donors to give him cash so he’ll have a nice retirement fund when he gets beaten in the next election….then, there was the Hillary announcement…which I viewed as inevitable but she is not my choice…either Bernie Sanders or Elizibeth Warren would be better choices since they truly understand the struggles of normal working people and actually try to do something about it….don’t need to say anything about Rand Paul…he’s just crazy and way too thin skinned to be president…and he shows the entitled white guy attitude every time anyone questions him….people will tire of that quickly….anything else? Hmmmmm…nope, not right now….oh, Space X is going to try to land their booster again this aft around 4:30 if the weather cooperates…should be cool to see….
Cuba…finally…
Well…just short one on the news that the US is going to start normalizing diplomatic relations with Cuba…my only question is “what took so long?” Since the demise of the Soviet Union, Cuba has been no threat to the US and many other countries that we were enemies with have long since had relations repaired and are now trading and diplomatic partners…I wonder what it was with
Cuba that made them different? Probably just the right wingers who profited by the continuation of hostilities…which is a normal function of the right these days…to gin up hostilities/controversies that they can take advantage of to grift their way to riches. Fifty years of this nonsense is long enough…can’t wait to hear the heads exploding like ole Rubio’s already did….fun…

Well…as Christie won the governorship of NJ again on Tuesday, I find it funny that the knives have come out from the other potential ’16 candidates from the repubs already…both Rubio and Paul have attacked starting with the contention that Christie’s lopsided win has nothing to do with any future elections…basically saying that NJ is just NJ and the rest of the country just doesn’t care for Christie….and the second one I heard of today was that ole Paul, at a senate hearing the other day, laid into Christie’s use of some of the Sandy aid for commercials to get people to come back to the NJ shore to try to jumpstart tourism there because most of them had Christie in them; calling them a blatant waste of government money for personal political gain…this is where I really start to laugh since ole Paul was one of the drivers behind the gov’t shutdown that cost the country over 24 billion dollars…and, for what I can see, it was for Paul’s and Cruz’s personal political gain and fundraising, since there was never any chance of them getting Obamacare repealed. The more I listen to ole Paul, the more I think he is just another of the privileged repubs that were born on third base and think they hit a triple, and just can’t take it when his bad behavior is called out…like in the plagarism scandal…what a sorry piece of work who can’t even be bothered to do his own work…anywhere….geez…

Well…the great, new hope of the repubs has begun his slow motion meltdown, after the water incident, that is by coming out the other day to say that he is in favor of letting the government shut down if Obamacare is not repealed in trade for it. Now, this is the new repub party? This guy is just not too bright if he thinks repealing a program that over 60% of Americans like is a good idea…but, it is just like the repubs….continually fighting the last battle that they lost…and acting like they won. I just want to hear them tell the millions of people that have pre-existing conditions and have insurance now through Obamacare that “you’re out of luck”; that the ideology of the right wing nuts in the repub party is more important than their health, that the profits of the insurance companies are more important that being able to not declare bankruptcy from the lifetime caps that have been removed…I can just see the ads now…”Marco Rubio takes away your healthcare just because he is a self-centered jerk…”
There seems to be something going on in this country that I never thought I’d see…that people are starting to think again, that people are saying enough to the repubs nonsense and just want the fights to stop so they can get on with their lives….or maybe I’m just reading DailyKos too much…I like hope, though…
More laughs for us…
Well…I haven’t really been following the immigration debate until the past few days…and what a few days that has been! I find the outrage on the right of the “leaked” Obama plan making me smile and smile…and one thing I find the funniest is that the leaked plan is almost exactly the same plan that ole Marco Rubio was going to propose…of course until Obama proposed it, then it was a commie, socialist, Kenyan plan as described by Rush and ole McCain…but, since these ideas are supported by a great majority of the electorate on both the right and left, where does that leave the repubs? I think Obama is finally figuring out that the right will reflexively oppose anything that he wants up to “two chickens in every pot”….and that gives him leverage and maneuvering room…it is so much fun to watch the repubs reacting to everything that Obama does; running around with no strategy and making themselves look like fools in the process…and Lindsay Graham has sunk so low as to citing internet rumors as reason to oppose Chuck Hagel…making himself look ridiculous to everyone but the crazy asses on the hard right. All I have to say to him and the rest of the right is “please proceed”…geez…
Working class neighborhood?
Well…this one just popped into my head and I wanted to get it down before I forgot it…during the water dance that ole Rubio was doing the other night, one thing struck me as crazy…well…more that one thing but this one is the capper…ole Marco has gone on and on about his “working class” origins and that he still lives in the “working class” neighborhood that he grew up in..blah, blah, blah….and then it comes out in the media that he has his “working class” house up for sale…for $675,000 dollars…I don’t know about you but 675K is not “working class” where I come from…and I’ll bet that the only ones that do are just like ole Marco. After all, who in the “working class” could afford a house payment of 5K or more a month? This is just another instance where the repubs have no frickin clue what it means to work for a living in the US….when you are constantly around people that make millions, I guess 675K would be “working class” in their eyes…what a warped view of this country…geez…
Middle schoolers on tv…
Well…I am still laughing about the “savior” of the republican party and his completely inane response to the SOTU last night…I will leave aside the crazy dive for the water bottle that also just cracked me up, and just focus on the substance, what little there was, of the address. First, just let me say “TELEPROMPTER”…it was obvious that this idiot Rubio was reading his address from a prompter…the cardinal sin that the right has shouted far and wide about Obama…but, even that is not the gist of my criticism. That I will leave to the supposed “substance” of the speech…I think Chris Matthews summed it up best that it was a ‘tinkertoy” speech best suited to a half wit middle schooler with the same self-conscious, smarmy nonsense that comes from a true believer on the right who thinks everyone should fall all over themselves to cheer since the “truths” in the speech are so self-evident. But, no matter what the right thinks…this speech was just a re-hash of the nonsense that ole Mitt was pushing that lost him the election…personal attacks on Obama followed up by faith based economic policies that were rejected by everyone…this is the new repub party? I can’t heap enough ridicule on this nonsense…where are the new ideas? They don’t have any….geez…
