Well…getting ready to go out and shoot pool so I thought I’d better get the second one for today out now since I won’t be motivated to do it later…and, this one will be short so take a minute to take a look…just wanted to comment on the new set of shenanigans that are going on with our old buddy Scott Walker in front of the recall election that is taking place in the early part of June…since the official federal government figures (that everyone uses and trusts as a yardstick to the true growth in jobs) came in not to his liking…and shows that ole Scott’s policies are not working to create jobs, in fact, Wisconsin rates almost last in job creation of all of the states in the past year. So, what does he do? Not what any sane person would do like change what he is doing…nope, ole Scott does what they used to do in the old Soviet Union and make up new facts that better fit his narrative as a “job creator”….and then, he trots out his trolls to try to sell the fact that job growth is okay and then blames the lack of jobs on the “uncertainty” caused by the recall and the unions. Isn’t anyone else getting tired of the repubs not taking responsibility when their failed, crazy policies don’t work? It was like Grover Norquist on Bill Maher’s show last night…where he disparaged stimulus policies as being “Keynesian” and basically said that the repubs had a new type of economics that work much better. What a load of crap….geez…

A short one about the republican playbook..
Well…this thought just came to me as I have been reading about the vagueness of the economic proposals that are coming out of the Romney camp…it occurs to me that this is the exact same playbook that Scott Walker used to get elected in Wisconsin…lie to the people about your true intentions and make yourself look as innocuous as possible…never revealing your true, radical agenda until after the election…the only problem is that there is no way to recall a president that does that like there are in many of the states. this appears to be in the repub playbook all across the country as we move toward the election….just more of the “bait and switch” that the repubs have done so successfully over the past few years…
One last thing…the repubs have sunk to a new low today in Virginia for rejecting a judicial candidate just because he is gay and supports civil rights for gays and lesbians. While I abhor this kind of conduct by the repubs…I also feel that it is going to hasten the inevitable decline of those troglodytes and we may not have to deal with them anymore by the end of my lifetime….we can hope, anyway…
Some musings about Wisconsin…
Well….there have been some things happening in Wisconsin that I wanted to comment on today starting with the new polls that are out today showing that the likely challenger to ole Walker is leading in the polls…a small lead to be sure, but still in a lead in spite of the huge amount of outside money that has come into the race. Over the past couple of weeks ole Scott’s billionaire buddies, starting with the Koch brothers, have spent over 13 million dollars trying to keep this idiot in office and all it’s done is to make his approval ratings continue their downward slide. This is one thing that I find so repugnant about the big money that supports this guy and other repubs like him across the country…they will spend countless millions trying to influence the vote to install their radical right-wing agenda…but when it comes to paying their fair share of taxes to allow us to start to repair our infrastructure and educate our children, they are nowhere to be seen. So, this is one to watch over the next month, to see if we can start to take back democracy from the people who think that those who work for a living are just numbers on a balance sheet…not people that are just trying to live and raise their families in the face of this onslaught of the rich…geez….
More Wisconsin shenanigans…or so I thought…
Well…I was all prepared to work up a bunch of outrage today after reading an article about the recall election in Wisconsin and how the repubs there are running ‘fake” Dems in the primary to try to confuse voters and dilute the vote….and this is something to be outraged about….but the rest of what is going on; the urging of repubs to vote for the weakest candidate in the open primary to give Walker the best chance to retain the governor’s chair is just normal politics that goes on every day…and for me to be outraged about something that I have participated in here in Michigan, would be the height of hypocrisy…something that you know I really hate. So, I’ll save the outrage for things that are egregious and nefarious….don’t you just love that word?
The republican “war on women” continues in Wisconsin…
Well…are these repubs great liars or what? On the day that ole Mitt comes out and says that it is Obama and dem economic policies that are hurting women, we have our old buddy Scott Walker in Wisconsin signing the repeal of a law that made it easier for women there to hold employers accountable for wage discrimination. This was not a law that intruded on the “rights” of corporations to do whatever they want, but it was a law that tried to rectify an insidious result of discrimination against women that had been proven time and again…that women performing the same job with the same qualifications were usually paid from 20 to 30% less than the men doing the job…something that is just wrong no matter how the repubs try to explain it away in terms that further demean women…like “women leave the workforce to have babies so they have lesser skills than men” never mind that 40% plus of the women in the workforce never leave it to have children. Nonsense, all, but this is the type of policy that ole Mitt has said he supports when he says that he supports Walker and his agenda “completely”….just another example of what the US will look like if these idiots take control…geez…
More nonsense from Scott Walker..
Well…just a short one about some more nonsense from the governor of the Koch brothers in Wisconsin….with the first settlement of wrongdoing in the mortgage mess, which is supposed to be used to help homeowners that were affected by the practices of the large banks, we see in Wisconsin that Scott Walker has other ideas and is using the money to pay for tax cuts for business that were passed last year. Yep, you heard that right…money that is supposed to go to the people of Wisconsin is going straight back to the businesses that bought the election for Walker…is there any other reason needed to remove this idiot from office? I hope the people of Wisconsin send him back to the Koch brothers in the recall election later this year…
Phase one of “operation goodbye Scott Walker” is complete….
Well…I hope you’ve been following the drama that has been going on in Wisconsin over the past year where the repub governor Scott Walker and his cronies have attacked the rights of the people and have tried to enact the Koch brothers radical view of the world that includes making the middle class go away. I was heartened yesterday when the first phase of ridding the world of this nonsense was completed by the people of Wisconsin filing over a million signatures to recall this troglodyte idiot and a few more of his extreme right wing minions. But, there is still an election to be won in phase two but you can see how concerned his owners are with Walker being in NYC to raise more money to try to lie his way into the rest of his term…there is something wrong with how the repubs do politics when the majority of the money Walker has used to get elected and to try to defeat the signature drive has come from big-money sources outside of Wisconsin…I stand with the people of Wisconsin while they take back their state from these radical outside interests…and I hope this puts the gov here on notice that the people don’t want the repubs radical nonsense….and that we remember the right of the people to freely associate and form unions is a human right that can’t be taken away by big money….nice job!
What a day…
Well…it has been a extremely weird day with staying in for the whole thing…didn’t even go out for coffee since that would have cost me the last 6 bucks I have…oh, I said that earlier didn’t I? Well…the entire day has been a “Heroes” marathon and I am on the 12th episode today…not a bad show and it got me through the day quite easily…but, the boredom has come back and with it being a no cocktail night, it may be a little tough to get through it…
Okay…just one little comment…did you see that ole Scott Walker in Wisconsin wants to start charging anyone who wants to protest in Wisconsin 50 dollars an hour for each police officer he sends in to break up the protest…yep, you heard it right…ole Scott wants to charge people to use public property to exercise their constitutional rights…these guys just love the constitution until people they don’t agree with are protected by it… what’s next….will he start charging people to vote or die? Geez…
The republicans hate government unless they can use it for fraud…
Well…nasty little allegations are surfacing in Wisconsin about how Scott Walker and his cronies have been using state-paid employees as political shills in direct violation of the law there….the most recent developments concern one of Walker’s top aides who is suspected of doing political campaign work for other candidates disregarding her duties to the folks in Wisconsin that pay her. These guys really hate public workers unless they can be used either overtly or secretly to further their political aims and this kind of nonsense should be remembered in 2012….that the state supposedly can’t afford to pay teachers or firemen or police, but they can afford to pay political hacks that don’t do anything to further the public good….just another instance where these liars will do or say anything to gain political advantage…geez….
A mess of stuff…
Well…wanted to get this one down before I have lunch and forget it…and, this one is going to be a mash up of different topics….so, bear with me for a few minutes and you might get something worthwhile…remember though, I said might, not would. Let’s start with some more repub hypocrisy…this time on jobs and their constant bitching that Obama has not created any jobs in the aftermath of the deep recession and say that two years of his term should be enough to have created millions of them. Then, we have the repub governors, notably Scott Walker of Wisconsin, coming out late last week and saying that he needs time for his policies on job creation to work, saying that it will be probably almost 3 years for them to really get going…so two years is too long for Obama to create jobs but three years is okay for the repub plan to create jobs? Did they fail elementary math? I seem to remember that three years is longer than two years. Geez….
Nope…I guess this one won’t be a mess of stuff…I should talk about the latest craziness from Michelle Bachmann…she just attacked Obama saying he wants to end Medicare and she won’t let that happen when in the next breath she cries about socialized medicine in the Affordable Care Act…or Obamacare as the right likes to call it. Michelle, Medicare is socialized medicine…a plan run and controlled by the government that you say you hate…so what is it? Is “socialized” medicine bad or good? You can’t have it both ways….and this person is a “serious” candidate for the repub nomination? I sure hope she gets it….4 more years for Obama…
