Well…up at 5:23 again and I am just damn exhausted from not sleeping well…I think I’ll make it a project to try to figure this out today…after all, I have lots of time on my hands and what better way to spend it? Had a nice day yesterday and I won at pool and the ride out and back was fun…and the more I drive the Miata in the rain, the more I like it…it’s like a tiny little cocoon and fits me so well…looks like I won’t be going anywhere tomorrow with a huge ice storm coming tonight…3/10′s of an inch of ice is really quite a bit and that will take a while to melt so it looks like another day of hibernation and trying to melt the ice so I can get the doors on the car open…only burned through a quarter tank of gas during the frigid weather last week so I’m good to go with letting the car run…don’t really hurt too much this morning but I am still going to alternate days on the weight machine so my shoulder gets a rest and repair day…don’t want to stress it too much with it slowly healing….not much to do today…think I’ll just continue the cleaning that I started over the weekend and get a couple of rides in but that is about it…more later…

It’s all just vanity…
Well…I know you’ve all heard the stories of how people have tried and tried and tried to get trump to learn anything, with the head of the naval war college going so far as saying that he thinks that trump has a learning disability and a mental block that doesn’t allow him to take in any facts or data that are in conflict with his “beliefs” on any issue, whether or not his “beliefs” are driven by delusion on the idiot’s part…what I think is that idiot boy knows or has started to realize that his inability to perform his job is making him look bad and his vanity is driving him to reject intelligence or reality just to relieve the cognitive dissonance that this creates. Now, we all know trump is not bright enough to understand cognitive dissonance….remember one of his college professors who stated bluntly that trump was by far the the dumbest student he ever had? But, you don’t have to understand CD to react to it’s effects…oh, and if you’re wondering, yes, I do have a degree in psychology so I understand the terms I’m commenting on…it all comes back to the inflated self worth that trump displays every day that has no basis in reality…but his construct of the false reality needs to be supported by his delusions of success…and thinking he knows more than anyone about everything is all just part of his vanity that has been on display his entire life….let’s impeach the MF before he kills us all…cripes…
February 4th
Well…damn, I wonder when this crappy sleep will end…feel so worn out this morning that I may have to try to take a nap later….almost shut everything back down and tried to go back to bed but I know there wouldn’t be any prospect of sleeping so what’s the point? Had and okay day yesterday and even got some stuff done…got my kitchen floor scrubbed and it finally looks good again…I do need to get at the counters and the oven tomorrow but don’t think I’ll get much done with pool this aft…I did get my Feb top down run in yesterday when I went over to the car wash to get quarters for pool and there were some huge puddles from the melt that splashed over the windows when I hit them….looked like riding in a boat…going to try the weight machine today before I get on the bike since my shoulder feels okay…the pain has been receding slowly the past few days and it didn’t get worse even with using it hard to scrub the floor yesterday so it should be okay…only did one run on the bike yesterday and will probably do only one today…I’ll get back to the normal routine tomorrow….not much to do today…going to just ease into the day and have some more coffee before reading the news…more later….
Boycott the super bowl…
Well…we all know by now that trump lies, and lies and lies…and he is constantly given tv time to spew them every damn day…and today, the owners of the teams in the NFL are giving him another platform to lie to America with a captive audience at the Super Bowl. From what I’ve read, reporters who have seen the text of the filmed segment, the whole thing is just more of his racist bullshit where he will try to convince people that there is a “crisis” at our southern border when everyone in this country other than trump and his cronies know that’s a blatant lie…and he is going to use this lie filled screed to attack Nancy Pelosi since she has told him there is never going to be money for his damn, stupid wall….never mind that this is not the place for that sort of bullshit, I blame the trump loving owners for allowing this asshole to pollute the airwaves with his racist bullshit…so I, for one will not take part in it…I am going to boycott the Super Bowl and I think every other progressive in this country should, too…we don’t need to reward the NFL and the owners for supporting this corrupt, lying asshole….impeach…
February 3rd
Well…running a little late this morning…for what has become the new normal and it felt good to not get out of bed until 6…slept pretty crappy again but I’m not going to bitch about that when it’s over 40 outside already and the car started up fine…which it should at 40…feel a little sore today and I’m not sure why that would be other than scrubbing the bathroom yesterday…oh, and two runs on the bike so maybe there is good reason? Didn’t take anything for my shoulder yesterday and I think I won’t today, either if it it keeps up with just the low grade pain that I have now…I think it should have healed by now since I hurt it before christmas but I think I just keep re-injuring it…but that won’t keep me from working out tomorrow…still going to go down on weight, though, just to make sure I can get through the workout….I sure hope the ice melts off the streets before Tuesday when it is going to turn cold again…and stay cold for the rest of winter…doesn’t look too bad for temps with lows staying in the teens and every day we get closer to spring….not much to do today…need to clean the kitchen to keep the momentum going from yesterday but that is about it…and Man U plays at 9 so I need to get on the bike soon to be done by then….more later…
A better day…
Well…the way I felt this morning, I was expecting today was going to be one to be endured but it has surprised me by being a better day than I could have hoped…have been able to get motivated to get the bathroom cleaned and to get on the bike two times so that is a good sign…and I don’t feel as depressed as I did when I got up and I’m not sure why that would be…I have been able to keep busy with soccer and now rugby on so that could be part of it…and my son got the tv from this week to download to plex so I have a lot of stuff to catch up on for tonight…and a funny thing happened during the Everton match this morning when a black cat ran onto the pitch and then just ran around for 7 minutes while everyone just stood around and watched it and the tv cameras gave us lots of closeups…some of the players just walked around behind it until it took off up one of the tunnels and the match restarted…quite funny…and a better day…
Hypocrisy…are you surprised?
Well…I know there are a lot of things happening in politics right now dealing with the controversy in in Virginia where the dem governor is accused of racist behavior and, to our sides credit, everyone from Pelosi on down have called for his resignation….but the thing that pisses me off is everyone on the right is doing the same thing…let’s get this straight right off…to me, any racist behavior no matter when it was by any candidate or politician is disqualifying…no grey area there at all…so I do think Northam should resign….but to see the “good folks” on the right clamoring for his resignation when they continue to give Steve King, Louie Gohmert, and the idiot boy trump a pass on even worse things they do every day is the worst kind of hypocrisy….and anyone on the right can just shut the hell up and let us handle it…and that’s another difference…on the left, we DO handle it…no one gets a pass, no one gets a smirk and a wink when they do something wrong…we have accountability on our side…how about you repubs? Clean up your own house before you open your mouths…geez…
February 2nd
Well…another 5 hours of sleep night and I think the cumulative effect of that is wearing me out…I have been exhausted lately and I know it can’t be normal to be getting up at 5 every morning with getting to sleep at 11:30-12…oh, well…at least my legs and shoulder don’t hurt this morning so I guess I’ll take that…but I did have to take something for my shoulder and neck last night and I need to stop doing that soon…started feeling depressed again yesterday and I’m not sure if it’s the weather or what but it’s still here this morning so today may be a day to just survive it and not feel bad if I don’t get a lot done…it’s been quite a while since I’ve felt like this and that makes even writing this a chore that I am struggling with…didn’t get a lot done yesterday but I will try to clean some today if I can get myself motivated to do anything…and that is not looking too likely right now…more later…
Stupid people…climate is not weather…
Well…there are a bunch of memes going round out there about the polar vortex cold we’ve been having in the midwest over the past week or so and a lot of them show Lake Michigan freezing in one frame and then scenes from “the Day After Tomorrow” disaster film where the oceans freeze in the other…and they invariable try to use the cold weather as proof that climate change isn’t happening…and this crap is an ignorant right wing staple that starts with the idiot trump and winds it’s way through fox news and into the quite stupid trump followers. Hey, stupid people…weather is not climate…they are not the same thing and if you think climate change is not happening, give someone in Australia a call…and ask them about how hot it is this winter down under…..every damn record for high temps has been broken this winter all across Australia and most people there understand that this is not just weather that will change, as ours is here…when it is going to be 50 degrees with thunderstorms Monday…but it is long term, human caused climate change that will make a lot of Australia uninhabitable. Yes, it has been cold here…but any one weather event is just that…weather…which can be affected by climate change but no one that understands science would ever base conclusions on a sample size of one…something the science deniers on the right always do…just dumber than a box of rocks…geez…
February 1st
Well…woke up at 5 again this morning but did try to go back to sleep and, as usual, it didn’t work and that left me with another night of less than 6 hours of sleep and it is starting to wear on me…and my shoulder hurts like crazy again this morning for some reason so I’ll take the day off the weight machine and rest it until Monday….the warm up has finally started to happen with it being a balmy -1 this morning but I’ll still use the battery box to start the car today to keep the strain off the battery….it barely started at -9 yesterday morning and I didn’t take it anywhere so the battery probably isn’t charge up all the way…I have been having trouble keeping track of what day it is this week with thinking that today is sat and yesterday was Fri…I think that was from doing the grocery run on Tues…it’s weird how changing my routine has that kind of fallout….didn’t get much done yesterday but the two bike rides…I just noticed that my legs don’t hurt this morning and that’s the first time since I started using the trainer that I’ve been pain free…strange…not much to do today…going to clean some and run one errand but that is about it….still not too motivated with the weather being so wearing….more later…
