Well….let’s add Mike Pence to those who have really relinquished their sanity to support the chief Idiot, Trump….at a Pence rally the other day, a woman asked how Pence could still support Trump when Trump attacks military families….and his response was that he has never met anyone who supports the troops more than Trump….as much as that is wrong on so many levels…basically every level…the worst part was that the crowd attempted to shout the woman down..who, by the way, has a son serving in the Air Force…she persevered and got through the question to shouts of throw her out and shut up…and, here is how ignorant the Trump/Pence supporters are…when they interviewed a few of them after the rally, they all said that the woman had “violated their rights” by asking a question they didn’t want to hear…now….I am getting really tired of pointing out what the constitution really means to these folks…the first amendment protects this woman’s right to speak out…it doesn’t protect you from hearing something you don’t want to hear….and it doesn’t give religious folks the right to discriminate in the name of religion…man…I am just shaking my head at all of the stupidity…geez…
Trump brings the crazy and stupid…again….
Well…you know, I’ve really never watched a crazy person as long as I’ve watched Trump without someone coming to lock them up so they don’t hurt themselves…this guy is just nuts. And stupid, and ignorant…going off today on wind and solar power saying it’s too expensive and will kill “all the birds”….let’s break this one out for a sec…the cost of solar has dropped by over 70% in the past 5 years and now costs abut 4 cents a KH for an installation…compare that to a coal or gas fired plant that averages almost 11 cents a KH…so, again the ignoramus is wrong….and yes there have been birds killed by wind turbines, but how many have been killed by the pollution from coal fired plants? Or from mining coal that destroys habitats across the country? Okay, we all agree that Trump is an ignorant idiot…but his latest outrage is that he is trying to de-legitimize the election itself…saying that if he loses the election it will have to be “rigged” since he is so popular and has so many people showing up at the freakshows he calls campaign rallies. This is the true danger of Trump….he will say and do anything…even destroying the trust in the country for the 40% that are his followers and not caring about the smouldering wreckage he leaves behind….this alone should disqualify him…and does…sad…
August 2nd
Well…it was an okay day yesterday and I got a few things done so that was cool…slept okay last night but feel like my allergies are really kicking up an I have been coughing and sneezing all morning….think I’ll take something for then before I get on the bike…and some ibuprofen to keep the cramps at bay….I am curious how my legs are going to take the second day of only one meal…not sure why I went back to one but I just am having a problem eating…nothing appeals to me right now and I think it may be the heat….I was going to go to the beach today but realized it was the coast guard festival at GH and that makes it way too busy for me…so, I’ll do that next week…not much to do today…going back to the normal routine today since I really don’t have much to do except clean the kitchen…more later….
Where did all the grasshoppers go?
Well….I was going to do one on the meltdown that Trump had over the weekend but I think I’m becoming numb to the idiocy…so, let’s talk about something else. Out on the trail, even though I’m usually kind of zoned out on the bike, I’ve noticed that there are no grasshoppers this year. Once I noticed this a couple of weeks ago, I started counting and I have only seen 5 of them in two weeks…and, if you’ve been a long time reader, you’ve read that there are normally clouds of them in a couple of parts of the trail that coat my t-shirt as I ride by….I just wonder where they went…maybe it’s the hot and dry weather? Who knows? Have never seen so few and I’ve been around a long time. Just a curious thing….
August 1st
Well…it was an okay day yesterday and I got a few things done so that was cool….slept okay last night and feel okay today but I have an errand to run right now so I’ll have to come back to this in a few minutes…..okay…so it was more than a few minutes…one errand ran into a couple more and I just got back here….I did ride the bike, too, so that took some time…I did get the squeak out of the bike after using a half can of WD-40 yesterday and I just hope it lasts a few days….didn’t really get much done yesterday even though I said a few things so I will have to do better today…still no pain and that is getting more confusing as the days go by…I’m old…it should hurt…oh, well….not much to do today…have everything done I wanted to do except for a few things around here so that will be the goal today…and to watch the race that was rained out yesterday…more later…
The worst and most stupid person in the world…
Well…have been staying away from Trump the past few days since it really pollutes my being to even think about that idiot…but, after his breathtaking stupidity from the past few days, I just can’t stay quiet and not comment. First, this idiot attacks the Muslim mother and father of a young man that was killed in Iraq…and, by the way, they are and were citizens of the US….comparing his “sacrifice” of working hard (which I don’t think he ever has) to the loss of a son in service of their adopted country. I could go on about that one but it is readily available all over the web so I’ll move on to the Donald’s breathtaking ignorance of what is going on in the world….on one of the news shows this morning, the idiot was asked a question about Ukraine and his response was basically that Putin would never attack Ukraine…”he wouldn’t go in there” were the exact words from the idiot…now, I think that would be a surprise to the Ukrainian army who have been fighting Russian troops for over two years now and to the over 10,000 people who have been killed in the conflict. I know the repubs revere ignorance and despise “experts”…but the ignorance this idiot would bring to the presidency should disqualify him from getting anywhere near it….there will be more of this tomorrow…now I need to take a shower….sad….

Well…it was an okay day yesterday and I got a bunch of stuff done so that was cool…slept okay last night and feel pretty good this morning…not sore anywhere again and that is really unusual…but, I’ll take it…the damn bike is squeaking again so I slathered it in grease to see if I can fix it…got almost 9 miles in yesterday before it started yesterday but it bugs the crap out of me when it teases me with being fixed….oh, well….this one is going to be short for now since the F1 race is starting in a minute…more later….
Finally, some wins on voting rights…
Well…with the repubs across this country doing everything they can to make sure dems can’t vote by many different types of voter suppression laws they have passed since the supreme court gutted the Voting Rights Act…saying that racism doesn’t exist anymore (yeah right)….it looked like they were going to be able to rig the election this fall. But, over the past few days, the courts have started to understand that these laws intent is not to prevent “voter fraud” but to make sure the poor, minorities, and anyone else that traditionally votes for dems can’t vote. The most egregious of these was North Carolina…big surprise…who called a special session the day after the supreme court ruled to blatantly use statistics on how blacks vote to make sure the new law would make it harder for them to vote….and the court slapped them down by saying that the new restrictions violated the constitution and immediately stopped them. The same thing happened in both Wisconsin and Texas this week so maybe the tide is turning and the rigging of the system by repubs will stop…and if they can’t cheat, they can’t win…geez…
July 30th
Well….it was an okay day yesterday but I lost at pool….made some cash so that was cool, too….slept okay last night and feel okay this morning…not too much pain today but I am going to take something before I get on the bike…was really hoping for an entire day of rain today so I could justify staying off the bike but no such luck…didn’t get anything done yesterday with all of the traveling so I will have to get the kitchen done today…and I have other work to do too so this aft will be a little busy….it is nice that it is cooler today…I am getting tired of the relentless heat but I guess that comes back next week….not much to do today….need more coffee and going to watch F1 qualifying then on the bike….more later…
July 29th
Well…it was an okay day yesterday but I didn’t get anything done….went out to have a few with G last night and that set me on the path to feeling pretty crappy this morning…so I do….slept okay last night and I have no pain this morning and that is still confusing the heck out of me….I hope I have gotten the squeak out of the bike…went out and got some new grease and greased the heck out of the swingarm…..I am really tired of dousing it with water all through the ride….going to get out an try it here in a few minutes after I have the second cup of coffee….not much to to today…pool…maybe…and then I have an errand to run…going to make a little cash so that will be cool….more later…
