Well…what is it with repub politicians who don’t want to do the job they were elected to do? Starting with little Marco Rubio who said he hated being a senator and basically stopped showing up for the job, and now we have Trump’s campaign manager saying that there is a lot of being president that the Donald doesn’t want to do so he needs an experienced vice president to do all those nasty tasks….now, I laughed my butt off when I read that this morning…not even elected yet and he just knows that he is going to bored with most of the presidentin’ so he will have someone else do it….you know, I knew I hated this guy from the first time I ever heard of him…he is the kind of bullshit artist that you just get tired of after being around him for even a little while…and I know most people have someone like him in their lives and just can’t wait for them to leave…so, Donald…please leave and leave the presidentin’ to someone who will really do the job…geez…

Well…it was an okay day yesterday and I got a few things done so that was cool….felt like crap most of the day and I am still thinking it is a little bug since I am still coughing and a little warm….slept okay last night and feel better today, though, so that is a good thing….I did get caught up on calories yesterday…I think….so it will be interesting to see how my legs are when I get out on the bike in a few minutes…it did rain last night but I missed the storms and that is a little disappointing…but, there will be more of them in a few hours so I won’t miss those….not really sore today and I should be after how flat my legs were yesterday….I wonder what the heck is going on with that? Not much to do today….going to get the bike ride in here in a few and then I have an errand to run and it will be a good one with the top down on the car….probably need to use sunscreen since it is really sunny….more later…
A fun Twitter war…
Well…I have been having a great laugh over the past few weeks following the Twitter war between Elizabeth Warren and Donald Trump where she has basically taken him on for any and all of the stupid, idiotic statements he has been making, along with his refusal to release his tax returns…and we all know from his returns in the early 90’s that the Donald doesn’t pay any taxes….and Sen Warren has been skewering him…a really fun thing to read. One of the latest ones deals with the Donald caught on tape cheering for the housing bubble to collapse in 2008 so he could make ‘lots of money” on the misery of others…now, why would anyone want a president that cheers for his fellow citizens to lose everything just so he can get richer? Oh, right…republicans…geez…
Tiny bunnies and other stuff…
Well…you know it is getting to be summer when you start to see tiny bunnies on the trail…saw my first one today and I know it will continue…I think my record last year was almost 40 of them in one ride….saw a young buck deer in Kentwood this morning, too…just standing in the stream and eating some of the greenery…didn’t even look when I rode by not more than 10 feet away from it…the snakes are out again, too…saw a huge garter snake up in the park and was tempted to try to pick it up to just look at it but it took off before I could get off the bike….the ride today was a tough one even though there was not much wind…legs were just flat the entire ride and I know it was that I only had one meal yesterday…maybe that’s why I feel kind of crappy today too….yep, that’s it…I’ll stick with that story….and yes, this was a filler….
May 25th
Well..it was an okay day yesterday but I spent all the money I made Monday to stock up on food and change the oil in the car…oh, well…slept okay last night but feel pretty crappy this morning after going out to have a few with G…no arguments so that was cool….I just feel sore again today and I will have to take something for it before the bike ride….everything hurts and I’m not sure if it’s the bug I have or just going too hard on the bike…..my son got all of Monty Python on his server so that will give me something to watch over the next couple of weeks but I have to make sure I don’t couch it out with too much content…ran into that problem with Route 66 and I don’t want to do that again….not much to do today…was going to go out and hit some golf balls at the range but am just not feeling it today…maybe tomorrow…think I’ll just finish the coffee and then ease into it for today…it is cool that it is 8 and it is already almost 70….had the top down going out to get the papers…more later…
Rousing the base…
Well…did you ever wonder why, every 4 years, the repubs come up with the latest thing that is going to lead America to ruin? The latest is the proliferation of ‘bathroom bills” attacking trans people that miraculously started to appear in all of the repub controlled states in this election year, and were preceded by the “gay marriage” prohibitions that took place 4 years before that, and on and on. There is only one reason for these ginned up controversies and that is to rouse the base and make sure there is an issue that will get the ‘social conservatives” to the polls…and by social conservatives I mean the old white people who just hate that this country is changing in front of their eyes….that everyone is entitled to the same rights as everyone else and that they don’t get to deny rights to people they don’t like anymore. But, I think that, with the demographic changes that are happening, this will be the last election that the repubs will contend by using these cynical tactics. This is good news to those of us who are just so tired of the haters on the right who have turned their followers into a seething cauldron of hate that impacts all of us…the sooner they are gone, the better…geez…

Well…it was an okay day yesterday and I made some cash so that was cool…slept okay and was good last night so I feel okay today…I am getting really tired of the damn birds everywhere and trying to keep up with the crap they leave all over my car…washed the windshield twice yesterday just to be able to see…need to take some deep breaths and chill…okay, that’s better….have been sore and stiff the past few days and I hope it’s just that I am going harder on the bike as I finally get back into shape…and I should be in shape since I will go over 800 miles this week and that is second best to the end of May….not much to do today…need to change the oil in the car before the bike ride since the oil has started to lose it’s properties and when hot, my oil pressure is lower than I want it to be….more later….
Not sure what to write about…
Well…again, sitting here thinking bout what to write about without much luck…I just can’t do more Trump…he is such a ridiculous person that I can’t make stuff up that is stranger than what he says….I did read a small article that is making me think some about the election…how do you campaign against someone who just doesn’t care what he says? Who can be on both sides of an issue within the same interview or just doesn’t see lying as a problem…it’s not anything that anyone has had to deal with in an election before so how to do it? I did want to talk a little about Paul Ryan’s ideas to fix Puerto Rico’s financial crisis since they look so similar to what ole Snyder did to Michigan with his “Emergency Managers”….basically, Ryan wants there to be an appointed board that will take over and deal with the crisis with the emphasis being on slashing more and more out of the budget for the island that already has endured draconian cuts just to make sure that hedge fund managers will get their payday….I just don’t understand this crap…after all, austerity never works for anyone except for the rich…oh, that’s it…I get it, the rich need to get paid for any crisis…even ones that they cause….what a bunch of crap…geez…

Well…it was an okay day yesterday but the string of not getting anything done has added another day…slept okay last night but no dreams to speak of…again….but I’m used to it now….I know that I have a bug now since I have been coughing and warm with a slight sore throat but I don’t feel that bad…still going to work out and get a bike ride in this morning and try to burn it out…that works sometimes and I hope it does this time….have been sore and creaky over the past few days and I wonder if it has something to do with the bug….and my back has been really stiff but no pain so that is something…not much to do today…going to make some cash this morning but then nothing much for the rest of the day….maybe some cleaning but I really don’t have the energy for that right now….need more coffee….more later…
Christian Taliban….
Well…reading today’s news, I came upon a story that made me think that the RW “Christians” in this country are really very little different from radicals in any other faith…they hate the same people…the gays…and will do anything they can to make sure the bible is used to punish people instead of the uplifting book of love that it is supposed to be. Now, you know I’m an atheist, but I have no problem with people of faith who use that faith to make the world a better place…but, in this country, christians more and more look like the Taliban….oh, the article…there is a “Christian” school in Wichita, Kansas called Trinity Academy that now has a policy in place that allows them to expel any student that has a LGBT family member or whose household promotes or is okay with LGBT rights…basing it on the school’s understanding of a “biblical lifestyle” and that the bible is infallible and the literal truth. Wow….transplant this article to Afghanistan and I could understand it, but in 2016 in the US? I sure hope that everyone just quits the school and lets the idiots that run it go broke instead of being paid to push their homophobic crap on these poor kids…geez…
