Well…I laughed a little this morning…okay, I laughed a lot at the news this morning that the national repub party has pulled their money for ads supporting the walking dead repub senate candidate Terri Land….with the polls showing her from 10-12 points behind Gary Peters, I guess they have seen the writing on the wall and one of the brain cells they have left have realized here candidacy is dead, dead, dead. I guess it will be left to the Kochs to try to buy the seat and keep pissing the money away…can’t happen to nicer guys….and the one other good thing is that the money that would have had to be spent to help Peters can now go to going after the idiot Snyder…I’d like to see them ask him one question: “Where are the jobs?” When your state is 36 out of 50 in job creation, ole Snyder has to be held accountable….geez…

Michigan political update…
Well….have been looking at some of the good news here in Michigan on the political front, and thought I’d so a short update on what’s going on. First, though, today is the last day to register to vote to be eligible for November’s election so get out and register if you haven’t already…and then vote…because if we vote, we win…it’s as simple as that especially here in Michigan where Obama carried the state by 10 points. The update has a little good news in it and a little not so good news….first, the good news. It looks like Gary Peters is going to defeat the invisible Terri Land if the polls hold that are showing him up by 8-10 points…it should be more given that she hasn’t talked to anyone during the entire campaign…depending on Koch money to air 6 million dollars of ads that are mostly blatant lies or fabrications hoping that people are too stupid to see the truth….it looks like the Kochs are becoming toxic to the people they are trying to install in their government. The bit of bad news is that Mark Schauer is trailing ole Snyder in the governor’s race and I just don’t know why….are people losing their memories? Don’t they remember that Snyder and his cronies are responsible for the biggest tax increase on seniors in the states history? And, that they gave that money away with no strings attached to the supposed “job creators” who have not created one job but have raised CEO’s salaries by 50%…wouldn’t the workers here like that kind of sweet deal? Don’t count on it….Snyder doesn’t give a damn about workers…and you can see that from his approval of right to work which is just code for killing unions and the middle class jobs they provide. So, good news and bad that can be turned into good if we just vote…that’s all….geez…
The invisible candidate…
Well…over the past couple of days, I have remembered and forgotten this topic a couple of times so I thought I’d better get it down here before it goes away completely. In the senate race here in Michigan, I have never seen a candidate like Terri Land, who I have started to call the invisible candidate since she has disappeared from the campaign trail…not doing any meet and greets, any interviews, any debates, or anything, with her office just blowing everyone off. This invisibility is being complemented by the 6.5 million dollars that the Koch’s have spent trying to buy this seat for her…what else can you call it when the only people she meets with is the Koch’s and their minions…and that shows just who she is planning to represent if she gets elected…surely not you or me. I think this invisibility is part of their strategy since they know she is not too bright and can’t think on her feet…and her grasp of the issues is Palinesque…she didn’t even know what net neutrality is….I guess this is a requirement to be the senator from the Koch’s…but not from Michigan…geez…
Patriots pay their taxes…
Well…in typical repub fashion, just like ole Mitt, the repub senate candidate here in Michigan paid much, much less in taxes by percentage than almost anyone…even me who is living on his retirement. Over the past two years, somehow through accounting nonsense and loopholes, ole Terri land paid under three percent of her income in taxes versus the 4.6% that you and I pay…and the other thing is: how do you have a net worth of over 30 million dollars and only report income of 44 thousand dollars like she did last year? And, why did she separate her “income” from that of her husband, who works for the Land family real estate business? Is it to make it appear that she is just another poor working class person here in Michigan? I am disgusted with these rich asses who think they need just money to make them qualified to represent Michigan in the US senate…just like the DeVos family who tried to buy the governorship a few years back, ole Terri has spent almost 3 million dollars of her own money trying to buy this seat…along with the help of the Koch brothers who have spent millions through their shell companies to help with her purchase. I will deal with the policy differences between her and Gary Peters later…but knowing she is rich, and paying less in taxes than you and I should be enough to disqualify her in the eyes of rational voters…just hope there are a few here in Michigan.
She’s even more stupid than I thought…
Well…since when do candidates run for office when they are completely ignorant of the issues they are going to be deciding for the American people? The latest example (and it seems like there is one every day) of this ignorance comes, again, from Terri Lynn Land from here in Michigan. This time, she was asked a question about net neutrality, the idea that every packet of information that crosses the internet should be treated the same without any interference from the ISP’s or any mechanism for anyone to buy faster speeds to the detriment of those who can’t afford to pay. Here is her response: “I think the internet should be free…it’s a great source of information. I’m on Twitter and a fan of Twitter…it’s a great way to actually interact with the community…” Not a mention of the true issue…and with that no understanding of the issue…how can anyone think she is ready for the US senate? Oh, yeah, she is against abortion and gay marriage…that’s about all of the qualification you need if you’re a repub…geez…
Terri Lynn Land truly is stupid…
Well…as I have been searching for topics, I came across this gem from Terri Land who is running to be a senator from Michigan…and who exhibits all of the traits that make the repubs so repulsive. When asked if she supported the auto bailout that has proven to be so successful she says: “I have always supported auto workers (except when she supports the repub goal of breaking the unions) It’s great the autos are doing well…I support the autos”….okay can’t even pretend that I understand a thing she is saying…especially when she supported ole Mitt’s plan to “let Detroit go bankrupt” and is now trying to weasel her way out of it to make it look like she gives a flying damn about workers…which she doesn’t….and then goes on to use the code words of all repubs “I want to go to Washington to make sure we have a competitive environment here in Michigan (you can read that bust the unions and ruin what is left of the middle class by paying Chinese level wages) and that you don’t over-regulate (meaning let business do whatever the hell they want to pollute and scam the system so the 1% gets all of the wealth) and that you don’t over tax and don’t over burden Michigan families…meaning that she wants more tax cuts for business and that she wouldn’t over burden Michigan families by making them make decisions on how to spend or save the extra money they are making since, under her, there wouldn’t be any. The question session ended when her handlers saw that they were going to ask questions that she couldn’t answer truthfully; if she did, she might as well just go home now since she would certainly lose the election. The same old repub BS…lie and lie, then screw the middle class when you get elected…what an idiot…geez…
Terri Land is just ridiculous…
Well…I am dumbfounded by the new ad being run by Terri Land attacking Gary Peters here in Michigan in the senate race for Levin’s seat…basically, the entire ad is this: I am a woman so I know about women’s issues and since Gary Peters is a man, he doesn’t. Yep, that is the entire ad…but to me, the real issue here is not that Terri is a woman and understands women’s issues…which is just not true by the way…the real issue is that, in her time in congress, she just doesn’t give a damn about those issues…she voted to repeal Obamacare 50 plus times, and has made it clear that any attempt to even out the wage disparity between men and women has been rejected by her and her cronies in the repub party…along with her support of the restriction of women’s rights that is at the forefront of the modern repub party.,..exactly what issues does she care about? What issues does she think are important…you can never find that out since she never takes questions from the press…sending out aides to answer…is it because she just isn’t bright enough to talk without talking points? Just like the rest of the repubs…stonewall or lie until you are elected and then do exactly what the rest of the repub party does…make laws for their rich donors and then grift to get a piece of it….geez…
