Well…it seems the media is actually asking the repubs why they need to have AR-15 murder weapons and the excuses are all just the same bullshit grasping at straws that they do after every massacre of children done by a killer with an AR-15. The latest one would have made me laugh a bit if it wasn’t connected so closely with the murder of 19 children and two adults in Uvalde….one of the idiot repub senators was asked this morning why they need AR-15’s and he said to protect their chickens from raccoons…now, I wonder how armed his raccoons are to need that kind of firepower to stop them? Do they have body armor? Do they do coordinated attacks? Do they ambush people trying to protect their chickens? You can see just how absurd this argument is from my questions…and I’ve never needed anything more than a pellet gun for pests like raccoons and groundhogs…or rocks for that matter…throw a few rocks and they take off running…and if you are anywhere near a city, you can’t shoot a rifle anyway without hitting something you didn’t want to hit. Look, we all know these are excuses to do nothing about these unnecessary weapons just like every other damn time…and the excuse that the right wingers use for needing these guns that they need to “take back the country” with violence against the government should be met with an FBI investigation and the loss of every damn weapon they own if they are threatening murder….there are laws against that, after all…geez…

Answer this for me…
Well…after reading a little more about Uvalde, Texas after the child massacre there, a few questions have come to me that need to be answered. First, how the heck do you spend 40% of the city’s budget on the police and end up with the results they got? With cops just standing around while these children were murdered? Not sure if you’ve seen the photos of the police department yet but in a town of 80% hispanics, how does almost the entire police end up being white? This goes for the city government, too, with a white mayor and very few hispanics in any role in the city government? Now, I’ve never lived in Texas but I’ve seen this kind of thing in the south before…in majority black towns, the government is white and how the heck does that happen without some chicanery going on…or a flood of money and lies? In a show of the contempt that the police have for any oversight, now the Uvalde cops have stopped cooperating with the Texas state police investigation of the shooting and the response of the police force….sounds to me they have something to hide….and are insufferably arrogant like most police departments across this country…and that should cost them their jobs…
Durham fails…of course…
Well…gee, I wonder what 40 million dollars buys these days? It’s an acquittal to the one charge bought for that 40 mil by Bill Barr’s lackey John Durham and his three year “investigation” that tried to discredit the Mueller report and the proven coordination between Russia and the trump campaign. Durham found nothing but a trumped up charge against a dem linked lawyer for lying to the FBI that the jury in the trial said was pure bunk and let him go today…look, the whole appointment of Durham was just a revenge fantasy for the idiot in chief who was pissed that anyone dared to report the truth on his campaign and he counted on Barr and Durham to fabricate whatever was necessary to “prove” that idiot boy was innocent…so 40 million bucks that could have fed 10,000 people for a year or send 10,000 kids to college is wasted…there was no wrongdoing by anyone other than trump and this wasted “investigation” proves it…now Durham needs to be disbarred for even continuing this farce after knowing that there was no there there….and trying to use conspiracy theories as evidence as he flailed around serving his idiot master trump….typical trump lackey….
Canada does it right…
Well…getting ahead of the “second amendment fever” that has infected the US, Canada has announced some really sensible gun laws in the past couple of days banning the importations, sale, or transfer of handguns along with outright banning of 1400 different kinds of assault weapons and imposing a strict buyback of those weapons so no one will be able to possess them. All I have to say to that is good on ya Canada…maybe our politicians will see how sensible those regulations are and start taking the baby steps to get some of the 300 million guns off our streets…ha,ha…yeah, that made me do a sick laugh, too…as long as the repubs have their hands out to the NRA there will continue to be mass slaughter of people here in the US and lies that banning guns has no effect…all we need to do is look at the 10 year ban on assault weapons we had here in the 90’s to see how big of a lie that is…mass shootings dropped by more than half after the ban and continued to fall until the repubs let the ban expire in 2004…and started the crazy rise in the slaughter of children that now makes guns the leading cause of death for children and teenagers. Don’t feed me the 2nd amendment bullshit, either…the only reason the second amendment is in the bill of rights is that the southern slaveowners knew they would have to have locally controlled militias to protect their ability to own slaves…it’s as simple as that….every other damn country in the world doesn’t allow the kind of crap that goes on here every day…over 230 mass shootings in the country already this year? When are we going to get tired of seeing children murdered? With the NRA’s help, probably never….
Find the cost of freedom…
Well…this is not really a political one…or it may turn into one as I get going here…we’ll see…I think I’ve done one like this the past couple of Memorial days and I still think it fits the true meaning of sacrifice for your country…but, after listening to all the crap going on at the races over the weekend and every one of the speakers talking about these service people dying to protect our “freedoms” and I really don’t think it is why they died in many cases…and I think the new “freedoms” thing is a right wing construct that they have used to usurp the true meaning and add it to their short hand of propaganda..I mean what is freedom to these people? It sure isn’t freedom for women to control their own bodies…it sure isn’t gay people having the freedom to love who they love…it sure isn’t schoolchildren having the freedom to come home alive from school…it sure isn’t the freedom for black people to not be killed by the police all over the country…and it sure isn’t the freedom to make this country a better place that the repubs have blocked at every turn…so, I call bullshit on the right…shouting freedom is only another way that they bludgeon people into being silent…they don’t care about freedom at all unless it is the freedom for the white, christian males to continue to dominate this society and run it for them and no one else. As I always do, I end with the poignant little song by Stephen Stills called “Find the cost of freedom”….”find the cost of freedom, buried in the ground…mother earth will swallow you, lay your body down” Have never found a more succinct statement on the cost of freedom…Stephen understands it…the repubs sure don’t…
We need a general strike…
Well…as usual, the repubs are trotting out the tired old bullshit to make sure nothing gets done about gun violence in this country…and since we can’t get one damn repub on board to pass some sensible gun reforms, it is time to call a general strike across this country to shut the whole thing down until they agree to do something about banning the assault weapons that been involved in every damn shooting in this country for the past 10 years. Ever since the assault weapons ban was allowed to expire in the 90’s by the damn repubs…again…there have been millions of these things sold in this country…and to emphasize how dangerous these weapons are, even the damn Marines don’t allow trained soldiers to carry them around on their bases…they are locked up and only issued when there is a deployment or training. There is no damn reason an 18 year old, untrained kid should be able to go in to any store in many states and buy as many of these death machines as they want…and as much ammunition they want to go with it. So, if the repubs don’t listen to the 90% of the people in this country who want sensible gun control, let’s just strike and shut this country down until they do…and then vote every damn one of them out of office in the fall…
Big tough texan cops….
Well…as details come out about the tragedy in Uvalde yesterday, I am frickin boiling that the big, tough Texas cops who are great at posing for pictures in all of their tactical gear, and who eat up 40% of the budget of the town, just stood around outside for 40 minutes and let the killer continue to kill children as none of them would go into the school and try to stop it…and the damn repubs are bleating that kids will be safe if we just arm teachers and post guards outside the schools…well, the first person this asshole shot was the armed guard outside the school and then just walked in and started to murder…and when one of the parents tried to get someone to do something and started to run into the school unarmed, he was tackled by the cops and handcuffed while the shots continued to shatter lives inside…and the cops did nothing…it took until the feds showed up and immediately went to find the murderer and kill him…so the next time these repub pukes bleat on about arming everyone…please just tell them to fuck off…their “elite” swat team wouldn’t even attempt to go up against an AR-15 so how do you think a teacher would do? Why the hell are they even paying these guys? It’s their job to protect our children…but the big tough Texans are just a bunch of chickens….as they say in Texas “all hat and no cattle”….and the children die….
Repeal the second amendment…
Well…not sure if I want to do this with the tragedy in Uvalde yesterday….I will have one on that just after I do the grocery run this morning…feel like I’ve been punched in the gut….how long do we allow 50 fucking repub senators continue to protect the gun manufacturers and block doing anything after another 16 kids are slaughtered in their school? I want the second amendment repealed…no more god damn guns everywhere…and don’t give me the crap that it was an unhinged loner who did this…it was the repubs and their lust and greed that did this….90% of the people in this country want universal background checks and the only thing stopping this legislation is the NRA and the gun manufacturers….16 more families left to grieve along with the rest of us and the god damn repubs puke out their thoughts and prayers and do nothing to stop this carnage….the US is the only country in the world that this shit happens and I am tired of it….let’s start working toward repealing the second amendment and yes, confiscating all of the damn guns in this country, throwing them in a blast furnace and melting them down…and lets put every damn gun manufacturer out of business along with the NRA…I don’t want my grandchildren to go through the active shooter drills when they are old enough to go to school…and I don’t want any other child in this country to cry when they go to school because they are scared of being killed…what the hell is wrong with us when we protect the NRA and gun manufacturers and let our kids be killed? It’s always the republicans…
Well…I wonder why it’s always the repubs who are the ones committing election fraud? Okay, we know why…they don’t believe the law applies to them and they can’t win without cheating….and just yesterday every damn one of the repubs who are running in the primary for governor here in Michigan were found to have faked almost half of the signatures they needed to qualify for the ballot. So, all of these law and order folks broke the law before they were even in an election…I wonder what they would stoop to if they are in the election against Whitmer? I am just so damn tired of these assholes constantly trying to tear down our democracy by this cynical bullshit…are they so unpopular that they can’t get the signatures legally or are they just too damn lazy to follow the law and do it right? I think it would be funny if all of them were thrown out of the election for fraud before the primary is even held and they have to dig even farther down in their rotten barrel to come up with a candidate….this should be in every Whitmer ad in the general in the fall and every reporter should ask any repub about what they knew and when they knew it about the fake nominating signatures….and ask why they have such contempt for our democracy that they would cheat to get elected…..geez…
There won’t be any companies left in Texas…
Well…the anti women lawmakers in Texas are at it again and are attacking companies who have pledged to cover the healthcare travel expenses for employees based in Texas…and yes that does mean abortion related care and have promised “swift and decisive action” against it…now what that action could be so far is just a threat but I think these assholes should be very careful when they threaten the second largest employer in the US, Amazon, who can very easily just stop giving them money…which they should do anyway…can you imagine trying to lure a company to Texas when you have a history of attacking them if you don’t like every little thing they do? I think if this crap continues, we are going to have an even more separated country with the red states only having businesses owned and run by assholes like Musk…and many company owners are starting to appreciate the stability the dems bring in states like California…even if they have to pay a little more in taxes, it is still cheaper than having to fight off all of the lawsuits that are coming from the vigilante laws repubs are passing in red states that allow anybody to sue for any reason…the party of business? That’s all bullshit and always has been…the economy and business always does better under dems…and now we can see another reason why….geez…
