Well….holy crap, not sure if you saw the report on Rachel’s show last night where she had a district attorney from Georgia on talking about idiot boy’s attempts to coerce the SOS there to “finding” 12,000 votes so he would have more than Joe and all of the other actions he took to try to steal the election there…she talked about the criminal charges that were possible and that there are a few ongoing investigations from multiple agencies that could result in felony charges…and while she didn’t mention trump by name since she couldn’t, it was clear that trump is in trouble in Georgia and there is a very real possibility of an indictment…and, if trump is charged, then Lindsey Graham should be, too, since he did exactly the same thing…trying to get votes thrown out and “extra” ones found for trump. I’m not sure if we really need to be concerned that idiot boy will run again in ’24…not sure if felons can run for office…I know they can’t vote so he can’t even vote for himself….go Georgia…

Humanity is back in the WH…
Well….I don’t mean to gush about the Bidens but damn, it’s nice to have humanity and decency back in the WH…just this morning when there was a photo op with Joe and Jill talking about Valentine’s day…one of the reporters shouted out that she would bring donuts if they would come back out to talk next Friday, too…and Joe noticed that the reporter didn’t have any coffee on a cold day in DC…so Joe walked over to her and told her he hadn’t had a sip of his coffee and handed it to her…telling her that next week they would have enough for everyone….that goodness and humanity is just who Joe is and it is such a great thing to see after 4 years of trump being an asshole to the press…Joe understands they have a job to do and if he’s honest with them, they will be fair to him…and to see the press treated as equals is such a return to normalcy that even that little thing of giving the reporter his coffee seems like a really big deal….keep at it Joe….
He’s a damn criminal…
Well…almost forgot to come here today with all of the packing and cleaning I’ve been doing but I did remember so here goes…no matter how much the house impeachment managers prove that it was trump who ordered the attack on the capitol, the chikenshit, corrupt repub senators are still going to let him off since they have no patriotism or moral fiber. So, now, according to them, it’s just perfectly fine to send a mob of killers to try to kill his own vice president and the speaker of the house and any other legislator that they might have found…and to a person, every damn one of the attackers said they were waiting for the go signal from trump and they got it on January 6th….so where do we go from here? When we have one political party that is so scared of the Qanon people in their party that they won’t even condemn a criminal who tried to have them killed? I think the entire presentation the dems put on over the past three days should be forwarded to the DC prosecutors and let them indict the idiot boy…after all, it is a crime to commit sedition and try to overturn the results of an election…and this HAS to happen to make sure that the idiot trump never can get back into political life….he has almost destroyed this country with the help of the rest of the repub party…and this country will not be safe until they are all gone….damn criminals, all of them…
trump should be in jail….
Well…not sure if you’ve been watching the trial in the senate but all I have to say is trump should be in jail…after the evidence that has been presented so far, there is no damn way that any senator should vote to acquit this asshole but they still will since the repubs are so damn corrupt that they will do anything to damage our country and democracy…and the asshole senators who were all a part of it, Cruz and Hawley aren’t even watching the House impeachment managers presentation but are sitting in the gallery smirking and reading…and not paying any attention at all. This is all I have to say to any damn repub…don’t ever talk about your law and order bullshit again if you do not vote to convict this criminal who tried to destroy this country….and this isn’t even enough…trump needs to go to jail…and right damn now….god I hate repubs….
Are they just stupid?
Well…I wasn’t going to do a political one today but I really did have to talk about trump’s lawyers who are handling the impeachment trial…and the question I have is “are they just stupid?” In the letters that have gone back and forth between the House impeachment managers and the idiot boy’s lawyers, the idiot’s lawyers have continuously quoted a Michigan State U. professor to try to show that scholars across the country think that trying trump after he is out of office goes against the constitution…the only problem that these ambulance chasers have is that every assertion they make using Kalt’s writings is false and clearly has the opposite meaning as Kalt has stated on many news shows since the brief was released. Are these lawyers too stupid to understand that with this move, they have almost guaranteed that Kalt will be called and they will be exposed as liars? Yeah, I would say they probably are since they are the last lawyers who would take the case and their true quality shows in the brief….every assertion they make is laughable including saying that trump did everything he could as fast as he could to get the national guard there…when it has been widely reported that Pence was the one who finally approved the national guard being deployed…I really don’t understand what the heck they are trying to prove here and I wonder if that is because the idiot boy himself is directing them? Whatever it is, they are going to be eaten alive and careers are going to be shattered…but that happens to everyone who gets involved with trump…and to not recognize that really does make them stupid….geez…
It hits the fan tomorrow…
Well…just finished up cutting my hair and filling the bird feeders and thought I’d come here a do one of these before I get started on packing…not sure how I feel about the trial of the idiot boy that is going to start tomorrow…on one hand I know he is guilty as sin for egging on the mob to attack the capitol, but on the other hand I don’t want his lawyers being able to lie their asses off in their defense of the criminal….and we have a preview of that defense where they are going to assert that trump was only exercising his first amendment rights when he told the mob to go to the capitol and “fight like hell”….and at least 45 repub senators have already telegraphed that no matter what is said or what evidence is presented, they are going to acquit idiot boy for reasons or something…and that is enough to let him off again…but I think our side is going to be speaking to the country and laying out all of the criminality that came after the election where he tried to coerce the SoS of Georgia to “find” thousands of votes that would throw the state to him which is a felony and there is a recording of it…and this is another seditious act that is going to be part of the case and that won’t be easily dismissed…and shouldn’t we expose this criminality and get it in the record even if the repubs won’t convict? I will probably watch part of it anyway since it is a pretty serious thing that all citizens should see…and I sat through the Watergate hearings back in the 70’s…but I hope this is the last time we have to see the dems come in and clean up after the damn repubs…and they never have any price to pay for their screw ups…geezz…
Looks like fox “news” is in trouble…
Well…after the orange idiot lost in November, fox “news” has been bleeding viewers and advertisers so fast that, after a 20 year run of being in 1st place in cable news, they are now a distant third to both CNN and MSNBC….it’s funny how trying to destroy our country and overthrow an election will do that to you. There appears to be the start of a purge of the morons who were the biggest trump supporters, too, with Lou Dobbs getting axed Thursday and now there are rumblings that tucker carlson could be next and I really love the right eating their own. But the biggest danger they face are the lawsuits that have been filed by Smartmatic, the voting machine company that everyone on fox news lied about for a month, for 2.7 billion dollars and that include dobbs, bartiromo, and pirro personally since they were the ones doing the non-stop lying after the election…I don’t know if the dobbs firing was related to it since his lies are all on tape and can still be submitted as evidence, or if they are trying to come a little back to reality to get sponsors to come back…after all, if the my pillow guys is your biggest advertiser (oh, and who has already been sued by dominion for over a billion dollars) you have a problem…and that tap is going to shut off pretty quickly. I wonder if you tell a lie in the woods and there is no one there to hear it, is it still a lie? Of course it is but the no one there to hear it part is making me grin…
They passed it….
Well…just sitting here under a blanket trying to warm up after working on the snow for over an hour and thought I’d talk about the damn miracle that happened this morning in the senate…Joe’s 1.9 trillion dollar covid relief package passed with, of course, no repub support with Kamala casting the vote that broke the tie…it is now over in the house and should be approved later today for a signature by the first of the week. Unlike the 2008 stimulus that was way too small according to every economist who is not a right wing hack…Biden learned that lesson and just ignored the bleating of the repubs who are crying about the deficit…and they only do that when there is a dem president…you heard not one peep from them about the deficit when they passed their tax giveaway to the rich and corporations that added at least 1.9 trillion to the debt….and that wasn’t needed in an economy that was still good after Obama did all of the heavy lifting after the 2008 crash. Now, this relief package is necessary again to lift the economy and give people at least some money to pay their rent and continue to eat….and to my mind, this should just be the start of other targeted economic boosts that should continue until the pandemic is under control…people are hurting out there and we can afford to help them….and me, I hope…
Blue states do better….
Well…read an article the other day that may be a surprise to some people but I think I may have talked about this before….the article took a look at the economies of red states vs. blue states and found that, while population is almost even between the states, blue states account for 72% of GDP while red states and their economic policies only account for 28% of GDP…and this means that people in blue states make more money than in red states, are more highly productive, are healthier, and they have better schools than the tax cutting obsessed red states. I will admit that the total tax burden is higher in blue states but the higher incomes and more progressive policies make them better places to live on any measure of quality of life….and I think that’s important along with the idea that in most blue states there is more of “we’re all in this together” attitude instead of the “every man for himself” that pervades red states….as it does under every dem administration at the national level, the economy always does better under dem policies than repub ones….and that is true of the states, too, as the huge disparity in GDP shows….but people in this country continue to vote against their own self interest and elect repubs…and that is something I’ll never understand….
Back to politics…
Well…I think Joe has learned that you can’t negotiate with the repubs since everything they do is in bad faith and you can’t trust them. In the latest covid relief plan, the repubs tried to cut out all help for state and local governments, cut extended unemployment benefits and make the next relief checks, that I won’t get, only a couple of hundred dollars when people are losing their homes and hunger is at an all time high in this country…but that is normal repub crap since they don’t give a damn about anyone but the rich. So Joe just said nope and he has asked Schumer and Pelosi to go it alone and pass his 1.9 trillion dollar package without any repub help or input…and the normal whining has started from the repubs that there has never been anything this big passed by only one party…hey, morons, what about the 1.8 trillion dollar tax cuts that you guys passed without any dem support? I find it heartening that Joe has leaned to play hardball with almost 70% of the country supporting what he is trying to do…and no thought about the politics of it….just doing what’s right…keep it up….
