Well…today is the day that the totally unfit lying cheater is going to be impeached for his total obstruction of the lawful duty of the House to do it’s job of oversight of the executive branch…and covering up his crimes and extortion in Ukraine to get them to help him cheat in the 2020 election…and you know I have talked about the 50 other things he could be impeached for…I mean, paying a 2 million dollar fine for using his “charity” as a slush fund for his campaign, something that should be enough to throw anyone out of office but his protectors in the senate are just as corrupt so he will escape conviction and removal. I have only one thing to say to the repubs that are fully behind trump and his criminality…today is your last chance…your last chance to uphold your oath to the constitution…your last chance to show that you put the country ahead of your own power and party…and your last chance to show you are a true patriot, no matter what the consequences. This is something that only one of the parties in this country understands…and it is the dems to a person who understand the danger that trump and his criminality poses to this country and even those in trump leaning districts are going to do their duty even though it may mean they will lose their seats in 2020. What this means to us in the fact based world is that we need to work even harder to protect these protectors of the constitution and to make sure that the idiot trump’s enablers, Moscow Mitch and Lindsey Graham are sent to the scrap heap where they belong…and their legacies are only that the two of them helped trump damage this country every damn day….they all need to go if they can’t escape the cult of the repub party….this is the last time I’ll say this…impeach!

Putin got everything he wanted…
Well….sitting here waiting to go out and get my hair cut and thought I’d talk about how successful Putin’s operation about Ukraine has been…but first, Russian state tv has been openly mocking the idiot trump for being the stupid dupe that he is and for doing Russia’s work in the Ukraine…they have even taken to saying they have a place for trump to escape to after he is out of office so he can avoid criminal prosecution…just like the corrupt past president of Ukraine did when the people there rose up and threw him out. Ukraine experts from around the world are marveling at how Putin has accomplished his entire Ukraine wish list with trump and his cronies help….he has gotten Giuliani and his criminal conspiracy to continue to cast doubt on the new Ukraine regime’s legitimacy by his constant hammering about corruption there…and ole Rudy has re elevated all of the corrupt, Russian backed conspirators that were thrown out when they were found to be the criminals they are…and by trump telegraphing his Russia bias by not inviting the Ukrainian president to the oval office, and by inviting Lavrov to grin and continue to spread the lies that it was Ukraine and not Russia that interfered in the 2016 election, Putin got exactly the diversion he planned and used the stupident to reinforce those lies…and trump just grinned along not knowing or caring what it looked like to the people of Ukraine…just as long as it benefitted him personally. Man, I can’t wait for this moron to be gone…
Don’t send the articles…
Well….with the promises by “Moscow” Mitch McConnell that he is going to rig the impeachment trial in the senate and “coordinate” everything with the defendant, I think the dems should not play his game and keep the articles of impeachment in the House…and re-open the investigations into trump and his minions criminality. If they want to not do their duty to the constitution and protect this country, we don’t need to go along with it…we can drag the impeachment out until the election if necessary and continue to expose just how corrupt trump and the repubs are…and that would allow us time to get subpoenas through the courts…and even if the trump packed courts destroy the constitution by refusing to enforce them, the process will expose the black heart of the repub party and give us a better chance to win in 2020. I think what is necessary now is to use all of the tools that we have available to take the long view…the impeachment inquiry hasn’t hurt the dems one bit and being able to show that we are the serious party just trying to protect this country will resonate with the people in our party that we need to turn out in 2020….and if we do turn out, we will win…
They have to take an oath…
Well…to show just how corrupt Mitch McConnell is, you just have to look at the oath that all senators have to take before the impeachment trial starts that requires them to be “impartial” during the proceedings. Does ole Mitch think that if he announces to one and all that he will coordinate with trump and the WH during the trial that that is okay since he announced it before the trial? How can it even appear that he is impartial if he has already made up his mind and has promised trump he has nothing to worry about with a trial? I wonder what John Roberts, the SC chief justice, is going to do when one of the dems files a complaint about ole Mitch’s “impartiality” and demands that Mitch recuse himself because there is no damn way that he is going to be impartial and is going to violate his oath as soon as he opens his mouth? Will Roberts risk what little respect he has left and his legacy just to help Mitch keep trump in office? Sadly, I think the court has been so corrupted by Mitch’s blocking of Merrick Garland from the court and it’s packing with ideologues by Mitch that Roberts is just going to give up and go along…and that is one thing I don’t understand…how supposedly respectable judges and legislators have trashed themselves for trump when they have to know he is the worst of the worst and they could actually burnish their reputations by standing up to the orange menace and protecting the constitution…but, they don’t and a more craven bunch of fools I have never seen…geez….
Now the jurors are coordinating with the defendent?
Well…if you had any doubt that the trial of the idiot trump in the senate is going to be a sham, all you have to do is look at the statement that “Moscow” Mitch McConnell made yesterday that he will be “coordinating” trump’s defense in the senate with WH lawyers…okay, we all know Mitch is the worst damn person in this country, but to abrogate all responsibility to do his duty to the constitution should disqualify him from even being anywhere near this trial…after all, have you ever heard of a judge or jury in any trial anywhere announce that they would “coordinate” with the defendant in any way? This is how far the repub party has sunk in the past twenty years….that they will protect a criminal in the WH from any consequence of his shredding the constitution by more shredding…and every damn repub in the government is in on the fix…I am so depressed about where the repubs have taken this country that I am going to tune out the news for a few days and try to regain some hope that we can use the only mechanism that is left to us, the next election, to purge these traitors and then try to repair the damage they have done…it won’t happen in my lifetime and that is the most depressing part…that I am going to have to live in this world where the law doesn’t mean anything anymore and that thugs and liars are going to control this country…I need a drink….
Why is this not treason?
Well…let’s start this one with the definition of treason and then maybe someone can explain to me why what trump and his repub cronies are doing is not treason. “Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason…” Now, yesterday’s spectacle where trump invited the foreign minister of Russia into the WH where he spouted Putin’s lies that Russia was not involved with attacking the 2016 election, and which all of the repub party is pushing seems to me to be the definition of giving aid and comfort to our enemies…and as such is damn treason against this country….and every repub who is involved is committing treason…from Lindsey Graham to William Barr, they are all helping Russia to attack this country and are ensuring that Russia will have a free hand in trying to cheat to elect trump in 2020. I am so damn pissed that the only option we have left to hold these traitors accountable is winning the election in 2020 and then it will be left to the dems, as always, to come in and repair the damage that repubs gleefully do to our country just for power or money…never thought I’d see this in my lifetime…
Impeachment articles are coming today…
Well….House dems have announced that the articles of impeachment against the criminal trump are going to be released today and I’m not sure how I feel about that…I know he has earned them many, many times over but if they are only going to have three articles as the reporting says, I don’t think that describes the depth of the criminality of this asshole and the damage he and his cronies have done to our country. And, what’s the hurry? I know that the dems want to play this straight and work the process as transparently as possible but there is more and more information coming out every day that should be added to these articles and to have them only include three counts gives the repubs a talking point that he only did three things wrong and everyone makes mistakes….so it’s not such a big deal…shredding the constitution is a big frickin deal but I don’t see the pushback that should be happening with something this serious…like hauling everyone who is stonewalling the investigation into the house and compelling them to tesify…so what if it will take into next year for the cases to get through the courts? Time is on our side and we should be playing hardball with every damn one of these criminals…and now we see that not forcing testimony has become a repub talking point over the past couple of days….with them saying if trump’s criminality is so serious, why haven’t the dems forced people to testify? Feeding into the false narrative that the impeachment is all political and trump is a misunderstood angel….so, I guess we’ll see later this morning how the dems are going to roll all the criminality into the articles…and I hope they do their jobs to expose and explain why this can’t stand…or this country is gone….
Amazon’s scam…
Well…not sure if you saw this in the news over the weekend, but I think it’s a story that needs a little more attention so I thought I’d give it a little here. Earlier this year, there was a huge pushback against Amazon and it’s efforts to extort the people of New York for billions of dollars to locate one of it’s headquarters there…it was was reported that the cost would be over 3 billion dollars in bribe money to get them to come…but, AOC and many people in NY said no…they were not going to buy jobs on the back of the people and they rebelled at the disclocation of thousands of people and businesses that the project would hurt. There was a huge outcry by the usual suspects that AOC didn’t care about the people and that now Amazon’s 25K projected jobs would be lost…where they got that figure is still a mystery since Amazon only projected 700 jobs in the first year of the project and that maybe over 20 or 30 years it “might” mean that there MAY be more jobs coming…just as in every damn project like this…nothing but promises. So, the city rejected the project and the corporate welfare that came with it, but guess what? Yep, Amazon just announced that they are bringing 1500 jobs to NYC anyway…without the people having to buy those jobs and they are leasing in an area that won’t displace the low income people that their original plan would have….gee…I wonder who was right here? The repub hand wringers who were championing the giveaway to their rich buddies or a rep who was thinking about the people she represents? I hope this is not the only successful rejection of corporate welfare and maybe it will be a trend? These subsidies or extortions have been going on too long and left a trail of broken promises and theft that shows that if everyone rejects these projects, maybe corporations will start paying their fair share and we can get back to sanity where the rich don’t get to continue to steal from the rest of us….we can hope…
Rudy’s up to it again….
Well…you would think that will all of the shit that is ready to hit the fan with Rudy Giuliani and his part in the extortion of Ukraine for his boss the idiot boy, that he would be laying low and not doing even more crimes…..if you think that, you are wrong, wrong, wrong. Ole Rudy is back at it, crisscrossing Europe meeting with every damn disgraced “prosecutor” and Putin toady trying to make what’s false true and support the right wing conspiracy theories that the Bidens were guilty of everything bad that has happened in the past 50 years including killing Jimmy Hoffa. I have a word for the SDNY and it’s investigators…get those damn charges that you are going to charge Rudy with on the fast track and lock his ass up so he can’t do any more damage to the country by his international crime spree. It’s just so damn ridiculous that all of us are going to pay the price for this un-elected asshole’s meddling in the world that could just lead to Russia increasing their attacks on Ukraine since Rudy is telegraphing that the only thing the US cares about is political bullshit that helps trump….I have just had enough of this crap…we are not the US of trump….geez…
Barr has got to go…
Well…cripes, is everyone in trump’s orbit a damn racist asshole? It sure looks like it with the screed that William Barr delivered the other day in a speech…saying that there are some “communities” that need to cooperate and support the police more or they may just not have any police at all. Yeah, my jaw dropped too with the not even thinly veiled threat against communities of color who have been abused by police since the Jim Crow era and whose abuse continues to this day…and now ole Barr wants them to be appreciative for being abused? Coming from any political party but the completely corrupt repubs, this would have resulted in huge calls for Barr to resign immediately…but not the modern repubs…nope…Barr’s screed was met with nothing but silence by repubs and the media who reported this incident on the back pages…what the hell is it going to take to get rid of Barr? Lying to congress didn’t do it, running all over the world trying to get someone to support stupid conspiracy theories didn’t do it…and now being overtly racist isn’t doing it…I just can’t anymore….
