Well….running a little late today with having to stop at two stores to finish up the groceries….and that was a pain…but, I had the top down in the car and it was cool…but, it is so darn muggy out there and in here that I am sweating already…should be a nice ride on the bike this morning…I am a little disappointed we didn’t get any storms yesterday and it looks like we won’t today….darn…slept okay last night and feel pretty good today so I think I’ll get some things done around here….I do need to get a chicken brining to get ready to roast it…but, I may wait until tomorrow so I can cook it Sat….68 cents a pound is pretty cheap for a whole chicken….I do need to figure out what I am going to have for the second meal, though….not much to do today…I think I’ll clean up around my weight machine and vacuum…not a lot of work but something…more later….

Brownback bails….
Well…if you have read anything about the debacle that is Kansas these days, you know that it’s idiot governor, Sam Brownback made it a laboratory of all of the stupid, unscientific economic theories the right wing has been pushing for the past 30 years or so…that if you cut taxes enough, a huge boom will take place and then you get more taxes coming in….but, as we have seen in the crazy light version of this at a national level, it just doesn’t ever work. In Kansas, Brownback and his cronies turbocharged the tax cuts and guess what they got…a billion dollar budget shortfall, schools closing in March since they ran out of money and roads crumbling across the state. After these results had decimated the state, even the repubs there had had enough and started to dismantle the “Brownback Miracle”…raising taxes to try to get their economic house in order. But, I guess that was too much for ole Sam who today decided to bail out from the second term he was elected to in November and go join the idiot trump’s administration as, get this, “Ambassador at large for religious freedom”…yeah, I don’t know what the hell that means either…all I know is it’s just another piece of wingnut welfare for another failed repub that has shown he has no clue what he is doing…and now all of us have to pay for his idiocy…can’t wait to see what the rest of the world has to say when this “christian” radical shows up in their countries and tries to tell them their religion is wrong…could be worth getting the popcorn ready…geez…
Things are swirling…
Well…things are swirling around DC today with the idiot trump’s tweetstorm that he is going to kick any transgender member of the military out since they are a “danger” to the military…and he lied while doing it, saying he talked to “his” generals and they agreed with him….nevermind that no one in the department of defense even heard about it before the idiot tweeted it…and the sec of defense is on vacation and never heard from trump….now, we all know what this is about…trump needs to shore up support from his idiot base and to distract from all of his failures and investigations….and his torture of Jeff Sessions…but it is more about his hatred…his hatred of the LGBTQ community, his hatred of immigrants, and his general hatred of anyone who is not trump….but the noose is closing…even his idiot daughter just lawyered up the other day with Mueller getting closer every day…I just can’t wait for the meltdown to continue and take the whole racist bunch of cronies with them….impeach…
July 26th
Well….up and running early today but that’s not unusual when I’m good the previous night….my knees started to hurt yesterday and that continues today…I thought the moving tendonitus had settled in my wrists this year but it just may have picked this week to move to the knees….we’ll see when I get out on the bike today….slept okay last night and even had a little dream time and that hasn’t happened in a month or more so that was cool….had to chase a bee around the place last night and found out I didn’t do a good job of getting rid of the spiders since it flew into a web and I watched the spider work on it for almost an hour…tiny little spider….not much to do today…started cleaning, finally, and will continue that today with more work on the living room…more later….
Shame on trump and the Boy Scouts…
Well…how much lower can the idiot trump go than the sickening display he put on at the the Boy Scouts national jamboree the other day? While normal presidents do speeches that are uplifting and that extol the values that the scouts adhere to, the idiot trumps speech was nothing but grievance and hate….telling the scouts to boo Obama and that America’s government is terrible…and this went on and on for 35 minutes. By now, everyone in the world knows what kind of speech trump is going to do, so why still invite him to speak to impressionable youngsters that can really be damaged by being exposed to trump? Shame on the leadership of the scouts for allowing their charges to be used as cheap political props by the most amoral person in the US…who couldn’t embody the scout ideal if he worked at it for the rest of his life. The scout leadership has been exposed for the hypocrites they are…they should go back and read the scout motto and see just how far the idiot trump is from being a role model….and then hope they haven’t killed the scouts with their stupidity….impeach….
July 25th
Well…have been up since 6 and I’m not sure why I’m running late….I think I’m bored already and that might be part of it….slept okay last night but I still have the fatigue that I’ve had a for a few days now…part of that is I’ve been on the bike for three months straight now and I need to find an excuse to stay off it for a day….almost did yesterday but it was just too nice…don’t hurt too much today but I still think I’ll take something before I get on the bike…that works really well after I’m done and keeps me from hobbling later in the day….not much to do today….I did start getting rid of the cobwebs yesterday and need to continue that today….and maybe cook something…that may help the fatigue, too….more later…..
No trump today…
Well….have been sitting here trying to think of something non-trump to write about and I’m not having much luck. I just don’t want to even think about the idiot anymore….so, what to write about? I could do one about the coming total solar eclipse but I’m not in the mood right now…okay, how about the idiot McConnell? When have you ever seen legislators so pressured to vote for a bill that none of them have seen or will see before the vote tomorrow? A vote that will take insurance away from 18 million people next year and from 32 million by 2026. And there is not one repub that cares…all of them are going to vote for it…and maybe that’s a good thing…no, I shouldn’t say that…it will be good for our election prospects but how heartless do the repubs have to be to kill thousands of people just to give more tax cuts to the rich? Yep…I’m feeling burned out on the whole thing right now so I’m going to quit here…..impeach….
July 24th
Well….still having problems getting going again and I think the fatigue may keep me off the bike today…I need a day off at some point…but, I may wait until Wed when it will be raining….slept okay but lost an earplug again and that is annoying…..at least my back doesn’t hurt today and that is a good thing….didn’t get a lot done yesterday but I will change that today…..after coffee that is….I do need to vacuum today and get rid of some cobwebs…just had an annoying one across my face and I hate that….more later….
280 miles in a week….
Well…not feeling the political thing today so I am going to avoid it and just do one on trail stuff and other happenings. I did get to the most miles of any week for me last week when I did 280 miles…and that is almost 3 times more than I ride in a week…this week will be back to normal and I am still surprised I didn’t do any damage to my body after those numbers…I did see a loon in one of the ponds along M-6 a couple of times this week and I can’t remember ever seeing one of those…normally, there are either a crane or a heron in that pond…and there was even a new brood of ducks there today which is really late in the year for that….oh, and in the pond at the start of the ride, I think we have some beavers there now….there are trees down all around the edges with the v-shaped cuts that beavers make….haven’t seen any of them yet and I can’t find the lodge that should be there…but the chain link fence keeps you so far away I may never see it….still pretty cool….
July 23rd
Well…running late today for some reason that I really don’t recognize right now….slept okay last night and put the air on for a third day in a row…I could get used to that….but it is nice this morning with the windows open again…waiting for the rain to come and it is really dark for it being 8 am…..can barely see the letters on the keys….I do need to take a day off the bike and I’m hoping today will be the day….okay, the rain just started but that means it will be over before too long and then the guilt will kick in and I’ll have to get on the bike….didn’t get a lot done yesterday but I am going to try to do a few things today….I need to vacuum and clean the kitchen a little…and I need to cook today, too…so that will be something….more later….
