Well…have been reading lately about the fallout from the decision that many repub governors have made to not allow the medicaid expansion in their states…whether it just ODS or the fact that the repubs hate poor people, the results are the same…to deny millions of people any sort of health insurance and hurt people mainly in red states. But, there is is an unintended consequence that these idiot governors didn’t see coming…without this expansion, many hospitals can no longer shoulder the burden of providing free care to the uninsured…so what do they do? Across the red states hospitals are closing in record numbers…many in rural areas that invariably vote for these repub idiots leaving no care for anyone. So, the smug, insured repubs who think that it’s not their problem that the poor have no health care are finding that they now live in areas where even they will have to drive 50 miles or more to the nearest hospital…a long way to go when you have a heart attack, stroke or even a car accident….I think it serves them right…maybe this will be another instance where the repubs don’t give a damn about anything until it affects them? Just another time where they will do anything to hate on the people of this country…even if it costs more money or even kills people…what a nice bunch…geez…

Of course they hate the Iran deal…
Well…after the announcement of the deal with Iran to slow down their nuclear program, of course the right comes out hating any idea of talking to the Iranians since they have been just itching for another war somewhere…they couldn’t get one in Syria and now it appears they won’t get on in Iran, either. So, their masters won’t get to replace their billions of dollars in war material that won’t be used and that just pisses them off…after all, what did they purchase legislators for? Now, what the hell is John McCain going to talk about on the Sunday shows? I just don’t understand why war is preferable to talking to the right…I think they do have ODS…Obama Deranagement Syndrome….and they are just unable to think in any terms but “if Obama did it, it must be bad” or to take the longer view that this is certainly better in the long run than destroying another country just because we can…we just need to let the adults in the room do their jobs and maybe get what we want, and for the Iranians to get what they want…is that so wrong? It’s just part of the whole mindset of the right that there is no win-win…there are only winners and losers and if we compromise at all, we are the losers…stupid…but that is the repubs these days…geez….
November 25th
Well….it was just another Sunday yesterday with all the disappointment that comes with being a Michigan sports fan…at least the Wings won last night…slept okay but the dreams were weird again that I don’t remember…they are becoming as boring as my life is right now….haven’t been on the bike for three days and today may be another one…I just can’t get motivated to get out in the cold and without music, the bike is just so boring….and it does feel good to have no pain in my legs for the first time this year…not much to do today….and that is the truth this time…I may do some cleaning but that is about it…have to conserve cash since I am broke again so that doesn’t leave me many options…more later…
November 24th
Well…it was a disappointing day yesterday with both Michigan and the Wings losing and the Dr. Who 50th anniversary special being less than stellar….I did get the couch torn apart and cleaned so that was something…but that was about it for the day…I think I may have to put a new thermostat in the car since it just doesn’t seem to have the heat it had last year…but, that is pretty easy so no big deal…or, it could be that it is 17 degrees outside….slept okay but still feel like crap today and I am really tired of it…it may be a new bug on top of the old one….not much to do today…I do get to watch the last formula 1 race this morning and then the Lions…after than, it looks like just another veg day for me….more later…
Another reason to not eat at McDonalds…
Well….as if a person needed more reason to not eat at McD’s….other than the food that will make you fat or kill you if you eat it all the time…okay, maybe that is a little harsh…the company came out this week with some tips on how their starvation level wages can be supplemented and everyone can have a wonderful, happy holiday….the first one is just a wonderful piece of corporate crap…they recommend that their employees just sell their Christmas presents or anything else they don’t need on e-bay…the problem with that is that, with the wages they pay their folks, they probably don’t have anything to sell anyway….maybe they should sell their food next? One other thing that this poor excuse for a company does is give out instructions on how to sign up for food stamps…not pay their people enough so they don’t need them, but get the government to pay for their food and subsidize the profits of the owners…and these are the same people who decry welfare or any type of public assistance and do their best to have it cut while feeding at the government trough themselves for billions of dollars a year…just like Walmart….what a bunch of crap…geez…
November 23rd
Well…running as normal today since it is only 9…had an okay day yesterday but didn’t do much…even took the day off the bike and my legs are thanking me…and it looks like I’ll be off it for another couple of days with it being so cold…maybe if it gets sunny I can go out but I am not going to beat myself up if I don’t…I did have to adjust the calories I took in but I think I may have re-think that…don’t want to start the winter weight gain yet but 1200 cals is just not enough for me to feel good…slept okay and the ibuprofen seems to be helping the elbow so things are looking up…it is going to be a less boring day today with lots of sports…Michigan, State, and the Wings all play today and there is the Dr. Who special on around 3 so I will have things to do…I am going to clean too, and do laundry etc. so I can at least keep busy and keep the boredom at bay…no cooking today since there are leftovers and I need to make sure I have all of the food gone before thurs….more later…

Well… didn’t get out to shoot pool today since Tom is sick so I thought I’d come back here to do another one of these…and, with it being the 50th anniversary of JFK being assassinated, I thought I’d talk about this little epiphany that I had watching some of the historical shows on the topic. What strikes me about the climate of that time and of this time is how similar they appear when looked at in the context of right wing hate….when Kennedy was going to Dallas, there were fliers put on cars calling for Kennedy to be tried for treason for something or other…and, when you see any right wing rally these days you see the same thing on signs and fliers…that Obama should be tried for treason, again, for something or other…probably for just being president. One of the things I find to be a little disturbing with this kind of crap is that people are supposed to be more informed these days but the actions of the right and repubs show that they are just where they have always been….a hate group under the guise of a political party who should be marginalized and pushed back under the rocks they crawl from…geez…
November 22nd
Well…it was just another day yesterday and nothing happened…to me anyway…and that is what my life is like now…slept okay but no dreams…that’s getting repetitive, too….running late…that’s getting repetitive, too….oh, well…didn’t do much yesterday but get the bike ride in and got some cleaning done…and that looks like the same for today…other than pool, that is…the Wings finally won a game last night and that was cool…not much to do today…I’m just not feeling this right now so I am going to go finish the coffee and look at the radar to see if I can get out on the bike…might be nice to take the day off from riding since the lack of music is pretty de-motivating….only got out the door yesterday before the thing died…I am starting to think I may have been taken by the joint in Hong Kong that I bought the battery from since it’s been two weeks and it is still not here…oh, well…
The filibuster is gone…
Well…have been waiting for this day for a while now…with all of the repub efforts to nullify the results of the last two elections in the senate by the egregious use of the filibuster, Harry Reid and the dems have finally said enough…enough of the lies from the repubs, enough of the obstruction, and enough of coddling the children on the right, and have changed the rules today to allow presidential appointees to be approved by a simple majority instead of the 60 votes that was the standard until now. But, to hear the repubs whine, and whine, and whine…you would think that this rule was enshrined in the constitution…it’s not..the senate gets to set it’s own rules and change them any time the current rules will not let the senate do it’s job. It is on the repubs that this rule had to be changed…they have done nothing but obstruct qualified nominees for nothing but ideology…to make sure that Obama is not successful…this never happened under ole GW when the repubs ran the senate…the dems voted for qualified candidates and most of his appointees were approved..even while we were holding our noses at some of them….it’s about time we took this weapon away form the children on the right…they have shown that they are not responsible enough to use it…good for you Harry…geez…
November 21st
Well…it was just another normal day yesterday but the boredom was cut by the Doctor Who marathon that was on BBC…slept okay but tossed and turned all night…there were some dreams but I don’t remember them…well.. some of them…big old houses, lots of water leaks and weird people…and, as you can see, I am here early today since I just felt like doing this now instead of later…I am starting to feel like the bug is leaving…as it should be after 3 weeks but the lungs are still a little bit of a problem…still waiting for the battery to come for the walkman and I am now moving from irritated to pissed….I am so tired of only having 4 songs on the ride…not much to do today…I do have to make a short grocery run here in a few minutes but I do need to try to not spend much…haven’t made any cash in a month so brokeness is fast approaching…more later…
