Well….just a short one on a new Lincoln project ad that is out called “Commander in Chief”….if you can find it out there, you should watch it…it distills the dumpster fire of this administration down into three minutes set to a song by Demi Lovato (yeah, I didn’t know who she was until I heard this song, either) but I stopped hearing new music in the early 90’s….I read an article where she thinks this may end her career but I don’t think that will happen….the song will go down as a great protest song in the vein of “Ohio” or “What’s going on?” and it is really needed…thanks to the Lincoln project for this and the rest of the things they have been doing to rid this country of the cancer that is trump and his minions….
October 17th
Well…that was a little better…still woke up way too early at 4:54 but I slept okay with much less coughing and I think my lungs may be healing up some…still only have about 60% of capacity but it feels like there is progress going on and I’ll take any little improvement I can get…..but I still need to take the cough medicine I have been taking since it does help break up the mucus that it feels like my lungs are filled with….I feel a little guilty that I didn’t do a damn thing yesterday but cook but I think it’s what I needed to heal everything that hurt….my legs feel pretty good this morning but I am going to try to get out this afternoon for a ride just to keep the guilt at the level it is and not let it get any worse….but, I’m going to veg out this morning and watch some soccer with my coffee…I did a good job of limiting the calories yesterday with only have half a big rib and 6 onion rings for lunch and then only 3 small tomatoes for dinner along with a hand full of tortilla chips…I’m thinking I kept it under 1K calories for the day and that my be just a little bit too low but I can adjust that as time goes on…no much to do today….going to just ease into it and have some coffee and my last bagel along with soccer…I should do some work but I probably won’t….still don’t feel up to it…more later….

Well…hey, I made a good decision a few minutes ago..decided to not go for a ride and it just started raining like crazy and I would of gotten soaked…so, yay me! But, that’s not what this is about…I’m sure you’ve seen the California has had the worst wildfire season in the history of the state with hundreds of thousands of acres burned and whole towns wiped off the face of the Earth…in a normal federal administration, the federal government would be on the scene with multiple agencies doing what they could to help the people recover and start to put their lives back together. That would normally start with a disaster declaration that would qualify those who have lost everything for low cost loans and additional federal grants and other funding to help them start to rebuild…but, not in the idiot trump’s administration…this spiteful little prick has refused to declare a disaster for California which leaves the state and it’s people on their own and guarantees that the recovery will be more painful and slower than it should be…and it’s all because California is a “blue” state that will never vote for trump and he just doesn’t giver a damn about anyone but those who vote for him. Just like the covid pandemic where he didn’t do a damn thing early because he thought the virus was only going to hit “blue” states, the wildfires don’t mean anything to him since they are in California…and this is the first time in history that a major disaster has not gotten any response from the federal government…and it all because trump runs the government. This should be a focus of the Biden campaign, to point out, as he has been doing, that he will be president for all of the country…even states that didn’t vote for him and will make sure that all of the people will get the help they need when they need it…and there will be no spiteful bullshit that trump pushes every day….after all, our government was founded on the proposition that it’s purpose is “to promote the general welfare” of the country…and that is right there in the constitution…a document the trump has never read and doesn’t care what is in it…vote this spiteful little prick out…
October 16th
Well…running really late again today with another night of coughing, wheezing, and not being able to breathe that kept me up until 3 or so and then I didn’t get out of bed until 7:30 since I needed some sleep…can breathe a little better right now with being able to take half breaths instead of the quarter breaths from yesterday but it still doesn’t feel right…I did take a bike ride yesterday and got through it but barely…started to get out of breath at about 8 miles and it went downhill from there…and that never happens…so, I may have to re-think riding today…I have time for that since it is only 35 out there and that will keep me in until after noon…and my chest and back are really sore from all the coughing that will need an ibuprofen in a few minutes so I can move around here and get a few things done…the bitch in all of this is that it’s not a sickness and I did it to myself by not taking enough precautions when I was working downstairs…I just hope there is no permanent damage from this last time on the downstairs project…oh, well….as you can probably tell, I didn’t get much done yesterday but I am going to try to take the doors off the linen closet and get them ready to paint…and I have a door frame in one of the bedrooms that has to be finished but I need some painters tape for that and I am out of it….so that will wait for a run to HF to get that on Monday…this morning looks like just easing into it and having some more coffee and I may have a bagel to use them up before the spoil and I cut them out of my diet to save some calories….more later….

Well…yeah, I know….I do this maybe just a little too often but with all of the free media that was given to the idiot trump in 2016, you would think that someone at NBC would have learned something from it…after all, it was this billion dollars of free media exposure that foisted trump on this country. But no, not NBC who is giving trump an hour in prime time tonight to “counterprogram” Joe Biden’s town hall that replaced the debate when chickenshit trump pulled out. So, you can see that trump’s bullshit reason for pulling out of the debate since it was going to be a remote one and not in person was just a lie and meant to protect trump from another blowout loss and meltdown. What does trump think this stunt is going to get him? None of his cult followers were going to watch Biden anyway and I’m sure not many of the people who want to hear what Biden has to say would ever tune in to trump’s rantings and lies…I think trump is setting himself up for another self-own when his ratings are less than Joe’s…but ratings only mean something to trump since he equates that with everything and talks about it all the time…one thing that idiot boy’s campaign has forgotten is that the more exposure trump has to normal people, the less they like him since he is a worthless, lying piece of crap…they should just put him in the WH basement and forget about him…or send him out to do another one of his fascist rallies…that would be a good place to hide him for the next three weeks…

Well…the lies aren’t getting much traction this time since people have figured out that all this administration does is lie. Over the past few days, two of the right’s biggest conspiracy theories have fallen like a lead balloon…just as I said months ago….the “biggest scandal in the history of the country” as touted by trump has just been shown to a huge nothing burger…so much so that the lawyer who was tasked with the investigation by the criminal Barr has even resigned from the justice department after he found that the whole “unmasking scandal” had no basis in fact…to recap…the right wing went nuts when the Obama administration “unmasked” some names of people who were in contact with the Russians that had been redacted as they normally would be…and it was all part of the counter intelligence investigation into the trump campaign’s collusion with the Russians…something that has been proven many times over…and this unmasking process has happened over 17,000 times during the idiot’s administration…and the investigator found absolutely no wrongdoing on anyone’s part….so no “October surprise” that Barr and trump could use to attack Biden. But, since that one didn’t work…they tried the Ukraine bullshit again early this week with a story so filled with Russian disinformation that both facebook and twitter shut down multiple right wing accounts for pushing these debunked lies…including the idiot’s official campaign account…and now guess what the biggest scandal in history has changed to? Yep, CENSORSHIP! Finally, these social media platforms are following their own rules prohibiting lies in political tweets and posts…where the hell were you guys in 2016? At least this time the dirt has fallen flat, although the NYT parroted this crap yesterday and I’ve not seen an apology today….3 weeks and trump is gone…
October 15th
Well….that really, really sucked….running late this morning since I had the worst night of sleep in almost a year…my lungs kept me up all night with severe coughing and wheezing and that continues right now and I am sore and tired from it….the only thing that allowed me a little sleep was the cough pills that I bought for the last time this happened….and I know it’s going to take a week or so to get better and that is a little depressing….damn….didn’t get anything done yesterday but the grocery run and today looks like another down day with no bike ride again…I may try it to see if it will help clear out my lungs with the exertion on the bike but that won’t happen until this afternoon since it is too damn cold to go…check that…just looked at the weather and it is over 50 so I can get out any time after I have lots of coffee and probably another dose of cough medicine….but I need to space those out and make sure I have some for sleeping the next few nights….or I’ll have to make a run out to Meijers to get more….not much to do today….I do have to salvage the rest of the pink tomatoes since it will be close to frost tonight and I don’t think they’ll survive it…and I need to clean but I also need to make sure I don’t aggravate my lungs…it is just miserable to cough, and cough, and cough…. and feel this crappy….more later….
Man, I feel lousy…
Well…after the work on the downstairs project yesterday, and with even wearing a dust mask, I feel lousy with allergies today…still. Have been coughing a lot all day with that iron taste that you get when there is blood in your lungs and have been taking stuff for it but it’s not really helping….I knew it would be a bad idea to get on the bike today and I didn’t have the energy for it anyway so I put the bike back in the garage after getting it ready to go out…the wind was blowing pretty hard anyway so I might have taken the day off even if I felt better….not sure how long this is going to last but I do know that I could barely catch my breath last night and I was breathing really fast just to get enough air but they were short breaths since I would go into a coughing fit if I took a deep one…at least I know what it is and that it will take a few days to get over it…but that doesn’t make it any easier…especially since I did it to myself….crap….
Barrett knows it’s a scam…
Well…god, I hate these smarmy assholes in the repub party…in the “hearings” for Amy Barrett, she comes unprepared with no notes and with that repub smile on her face that says “let’s get this over…we all know this is a scam” and can’t even answer the most basic questions about the law…or won’t answer them because she knows the fix is in and she could sit there reciting the ABC’s and she will still get every damn repub senator to vote for her. One question she was asked was if the idiot trump could postpone the election…which the answer is no…congress and only congress sets the date for the election…and then she had the biggest tell of all when she went on and on about having to listen to the litigants and then rule on the case…just what he has been told to do by trump and mcconnell and the major reason she is even there…so when trump loses and sues to try to overturn the election, she will go along with any stupid reason they give and rule for trump. One other question she was asked was if she thinks climate change is real…and her answer? I’m not a scientist and haven’t read anything about it…another one of the many lies she has told in the “hearings” and she knows that she can keep it up, again because the fix is in. So, the destruction of any remaining shred of moral authority that the SC had is now obliterated by trump, mcconnell, and barrett and we are left with no choice but to expand the court to try to rebuild the public trust in another institution that trump has ruined….every damn time a repub is elected, we have to come in and clean up after them as they crap all over this country….
October 14th
Well…that was a crappy day…all my work on the downstairs project went for nothing and my lungs are completely trashed from allergies to the point that I can barely breathe….and I think it will take a couple of days to get back to normal…and the coughing and wheezing kept my up most of the night so I am just worn out this morning…and feel really lousy….I did get out on the bike for one ride yesterday but there is no way I can get out today with the lungs so screwed up so I think I’ll make it an off day and just take it easy…didn’t get anything done yesterday but the work downstairs but I do need to mow the lawn and do the grocery run today…and I need to get that done early since my brother is coming over to pick up some equipment and take some of the tomatoes off my hands before they spoil….so, I’ll need to get moving by 7:30 or so to get the grocery run done before he gets here around 9….not much to do today…I probably should do a little painting in here but I don’t think I will….just need to recover and be able to breathe before I can do much…more later…
