Well….it was torture on the bike yesterday and I was hoping that it would be better today…and it was…I had been under on calories for a few days and I can’t remember a ride that was as bad as yesterday…so, I loaded in an extra 500 calories yesterday afternoon and it is weird how much that little bit of food did for my body…had a great ride today with plenty of energy and my hands didn’t even cramp up…so I do need to design an experiment to see if it is from the extra calories or what…all I know is that I don’t want to feel like yesterday on the bike ever again…and, one thing I am a little confused about is the fact that I’m not thin by any means and there should be plenty of energy in my fat stores to power a ride without distress so I guess I need to go out on the net and try to find what the mechanism is…..
July 29th
well…running late again today and the reason is the same…needed to get out on the bike before the F1 race comes on and I just made it…slept okay last night and feel pretty good this morning with getting enough to eat yesterday…will talk about that a little more later….felt like crap all day yesterday and I’m sure it’s just from not eating enough….didn’t get anything else done with how I felt and today might be the same and it might not…I may get motivated later on but I’m not promising anything…the kitchen still needs work but I did get dishes done so I guess that’s something…don’t need to cook today so it’s going to be an easy one…and that is going to start right now with more coffee and the first race of the day…more later…..
Trump really is that dumb…
Well…is anyone else even a little bit alarmed about the news that came out of of the meeting between the idiot trump and the European Commission President this week? Okay, if you didn’t read this one, Jean-Claude Juncker had to use brightly colored flash cards to explain global trade to idiot boy last week and if that doesn’t alarm you, there is something wrong with you. There were about a dozen cards which had minimal information on them since everyone in the world but trump supporters know he’s not very bright…and here’s the money quote from a senior EU official who was at the meeting: “We knew this wasn’t an academic seminar…it had to be very simple”. In other words they were trying to teach global trade to a toddler with the attention span of a gnat…and that should embarrass anyone here in the US who still has a functioning brain cell…I guess that leaves out trump supporters…impeach…

Well…running really late today with getting out on the bike early so I can watch F1 qualifying….not eating enough yesterday and no coffee this morning made for a really, really hard ride today and I am still feeling it right now….but, the coffee is starting to work so I may survive it….slept okay last night but got up early again so that doesn’t help, either….didn’t get a lot done yesterday but I will do some work around here today…the kitchen needs some work and I should do some but not right now….need to watch some sports first…there’s a time trial on the Tour today and that will be after qualifying….today was probably the worst ride I’ve had in months…I even made some toast and peanut butter after I got back here I was feeling so crappy…and I never eat breakfast…more later….
Cohen is giving trump up…
Well….haven’t been watching the news lately…have been depending on my normal internet news feeds but sometimes they lag a bit…so, last night I turned on Rachel for a minute and the bombshell of the week jumped out at me…Michael Cohen is going to tell Mueller that the idiot trump was aware of, and approved of the trump tower meeting with the Russians to get “dirt” on Hillary….yep, and that means that there were campaign financing laws being broken and the obstruction case against trump and his idiot gang has just gotten stronger. One of the questions that is still to be answered is who leaked this information? Cohen’s lawyer says they didn’t do it and the only other people who have this is trump and his cronies…so why would trump release it? The only thing that I can see is that trump is trying to damage Cohen, being the spiteful ass that he is…but this doesn’t do anything to lower Cohen’s value to Mueller…and this means that Cohen really can damage trump…hopefully that will end with a perp walk for the idiot in chief….impeach….

Well…running a little early today with needing to get on the bike by 7:30 to be back here to see F1 practice at 9…slept okay last night but I am still fighting the pain in my neck that I’ve had for a few days now….but, my back is better so I guess that’s a wash….got a few things done yesterday and I hope to get a few done today, too….but not too much….didn’t win the 500 million dollar Mega the other day and that is a little depressing….but, I’m not going to dwell on it…the Powerball is up to 150 million so maybe I’ll try that….I should do one of these on the trail happenings but nothing has happened so that would be a little bit of work….not much to do today….just going to ease into it…not really, need to get on the bike but need more coffee first….more later….
Impeach Rosenstein?
Well…I’m sure you’ve heard by now of the latest nonsense coming out of house repubs…yesterday two of these idiots filed articles of impeachment against Rod Rosenstein for doing his job investigating the crimes of trump and his cronies. The biggest laugh about this whole thing is that one of the guys pushing it is Jim Jordan, you know, the guy who was a coach at Ohio State and looked the other way as hundreds of athletes were molested by a team doctor there…and Jordan knew this was going on…at least 10 of these athletes told Jordan what was going on and he just ignored them…so to have him have a hissy fit about Rosenstein is just a laffer…he should be in jail right now and he may yet be charged with a felony for his part in the scandal. Another reason that these charges have been filed now is that these guys are heading back to their districts to try to raise money for their campaigns…and, what has been shown is that attacking Rosenstein is a money maker for repubs…so, take it all with a grain of salt…these articles will never see the floor of the house…it’s all just theater…impeach…

Well…of course I’m running late…it’s a Thursday after all and I did need to do the grocery run…. and I spent over 50 bucks and got nothing….and I didn’t win the 500 million dollar lottery…so, I’m depressed….slept okay last night but don’t feel that hot this morning and I know it’s from not eating enough…so, I’ll have to fix that today…still eating out of the freezer and I’ll have to see what I want for the weekend….I did wear my new shoes out today and they are pretty darn comfortable….and I like the clean look….I do need to stop at the farmer’s market to get some tomatoes today but I’ll do that on the bike since my last water stop is only 200 yds from it….didn’t get a lot done yesterday but I’ll need to work on the kitchen today and unload the dishwasher….or not, who knows? Finally got new shoes…
Well….just got back in from trying to even out the biker tan and I can’t believe I got scorched after only 25 minutes each on front and back…but that’s not what this one is about…I finally got a new pair of shoes today! Have been talking about doing this since at least January but everything didn’t come together until this week when I got some coupons from the Tanger outlet stores for 25% off any purchase. So, I headed over to the Skechers outlet store today and found some really cool (at least I think they’re cool) leather slip on, memory foam shoes for only 45 bucks after the coupon…not bad for a shoe that retails for 80 bucks. They are probably the lightest shoes I have ever had…I think they weigh what my new running shoes do and I thought they were the lightest shoes ever…these things are pretty damn comfortable and I can’t wait to break them in….they are even kind of stylish…I think….
trump and his cronies are just the worst…
Well…not in the mood to do a long one right now so I’m just going to do a few quick hitters…it was just announced that the WH won’t provide transcripts of the idiot trump’s calls with foreign leaders anymore…damn, what are they trying to hide? Even the repubs don’t like the 12 billion dollar bailout of farmers that idiot boy is planning, especially since all the problems were caused by the idiot in the first place…maybe now they’ll take that power away from him? Now idiot boy is planning on a 25% tariff on imported cars wherever they’re from…economists have already said this could cost thousands of jobs here and is already prompting Volvo, BMW, and Mercedes to stop investing here since tariffs put on the US by other countries have raised their cost so much it just doesn’t pay to invest here anymore….this is just a few of examples of all the damage being done by the idiot in the WH….how’s all that winning now?
