Well…all of you people who bitched about Nancy Pelosi hanging on to the articles of impeachment until moscow mitch laid out how he plans to coverup trump’s crimes, just take a look at what mitch is doing now…planning to have only two days of presentations that will end up running into the wee hours of the morning, no tv coverage, no witnesses and no documents…so now, the ball is in Adam Schiff’s court and he needs to immediately subpoena Bolton and the rest of them and make them testify to the House…and whether or not this will lead to additional impeachment articles is not the point…the point is that if all of the repub senators lied when they took the oath to be “fair and impartial”, the only recourse for getting at the truth for the American people is to restart hearings in the house and get the subpeonas into the courts, all the while making sure that every damn news organization knows that 70% of the American people want witnesses and documents in the senate trial. Ole moscow thinks that this coverup trial is going to blow over and everything will be just peachy but we’re just getting started…and mitch and his co-conspirators are going to pay dearly for this blatant attack on this country…you listening Steyer and Bloomberg? You want to spend some money to hurt these guys? This is it…hammer it every day that the repubs hate this country and are a bunch of cheaters…and let’s get some of our folks on the news to reinforce how corrupt moscow mitch is…and do it now…
January 21st
Well…running really late today with not getting up til 7:06 but that includes getting up at 2:30 and staying up for a couple of hours before trying to go back to sleep…have had this damn cough for over a month now so I went to the doctor yesterday to have them check it out…with the iron taste that I get when I cough, I was pretty sure I had pneumonia but the x-rays showed that I don’t…but that leaves the bad news that I still have the cough and they are not sure why that is…so I need to pick up a prescription of amoxicillin this morning to see if that will help…I may have bronchitis but that won’t show up on the chest x-rays…all I know is that it such a relief to have insurance…the doctor visit only cost 5 bucks but I’m sure that there will be extra costs for both the x-rays and the prescription but it’s worth it to know that I don’t have pneumonia…but, I still feel crappy like I have a cold or something that I know antibiotics won’t do anything for….back to the normal stuff…I did have weird dreams again last night about getting parking spots assigned at my old apartment…something that never happened and to dream about that now is pretty strange….didn’t get anything else done yesterday but the bike ride and having G come over for a visit and I think I may have to take a couple of days of rest to help heal up and get better…but, I am going to try to at least get on the bike today for an hour before I run errands but that is about it with how I feel…more later….

Well…with the blowhard liar trump still screeching about how wonderful the economy is, let’s take a little look at reality when it comes to how people that work for a living are faring…not just the 1% who are still stealing everything that is not nailed down…in data released today workers continue to be screwed by trump and his cronies and the entire repub party…over the past year wage growth has shrunk to zero…yep, even with inflation running 2%, workers in this country got nothing to even just keep up…a net pay cut of 2% while corporations are hoarding billions and billions of dollars that the asinine tax cut was supposed to give to workers…but, we all in the fact based world knew this was going to be the result of just throwing cash at the 1%…only the delusional would ever think that those greedy bastards would ever share one damn dime of the tax cut that they bought from the repubs….I wonder if some of these trump voters who didn’t get a raise are going to blame the dems like they do for everything else? Now, I’m just not going to give them any benefit of the doubt anymore…I hope they all lose everything for being so stupid to vote for a reality show bankrupting loser…they deserve it….
January 20th
Well… got all the way to 6:03 this morning! If that sounds a little sarcastic, it is…you know, being retired you might think I could sleep in just a little, just once but no, it hasn’t happened once that I can remember…but, I do remember sleeping in when I was younger…that wonderful feeling when you wake up, look at the clock and see that it’s 10 am and you feel so damn good that you just leap out of bed with all of the stored up energy….or just roll over and get another hour of sleep….but, maybe that’s just a dream…it feels that way anyway…I did have some of the weirdest dreams last night where someone took all of my stuff and no one knew where it was…and the strange part is that I really don’t have much stuff…for someone my age, you would think that I’d have lots of stuff but I don’t…I mean putting it all in a 10 foot U-Haul? Okay, that’s enough of that…I do feel a little slow this morning but the coffee hasn’t started it’s magical journey into my brain and I think it’s one of the things I anticipate most every day….didn’t get much done yesterday but shovel the snow…twice…and get a bike ride in…oh, and I paid all of the bills through mid Feb that need to go in the mail today…I am going to clean this place up some today and get an early ride in but I still don’t need to cook with all of the instant pot leftovers I’ve had but that ends today and I can make something fresh tomorrow…I still need to make that cream cheese pasta that I got the ingredients for last week so that will be tomorrow and that should last for three days or so….but, right now it’s back to the news and more coffee…more later….
I’m already getting tired of snow…
Well…I know it’s just the start of winter but I’m already getting tired of snow since I have to shovel it this year…I mean having to do the driveway three times in two days? I haven’t yet developed my resignation to the fact that it is Michigan and it is winter but damn weather, give me a day or two to get rid of the soreness before you dump on me again. I am going to go out and buy a plastic shovel for the light work this week since the one I have been using is a pretty heavy aluminum one that was left here when I moved in and it is great for pushing snow but not too good for lifting it and clearing the snow off the porch…and I can get a nice one for 10 bucks at depot so that will be the one purchase that I can make this month until I get my next deposit on the 19 of Feb…just paid 700 bucks worth of bills that has a few hundred dollars that are not repeaters so Feb should be better and I’ll be able to build my checking account back to where I’ll be comfortable in any emergency…I even got 9 miles in on the bike today and I am working on making that a daily occurance since I do need to try to meet the 600 miles I got in indoors last year to make the 5K goal I have for this year…only have 144 miles so far so I need to make sure I don’t skip any days…it’s a little boring without a tv to watch but I’ll get used to it…no more later…
Politics will restart tomorrow….okay, today…
Well…yeah, just don’t feel like doing politics today even though there are some targets that would be pretty easy…okay, maybe a little politics…now, I know that the fix is in for the idiot trump’s senate trial so his lawyers could come out and say booga, booga, mush mush argle bargle, and he will be acquitted…and that is basically what their opening statement in the press is…just more of the bullshit that this impeachment is illegal, that idiot boy did nothing wrong, that the *president can do anything he wants and it is not illegal, that obstructing congress and it’s investigation is not illegal since the investigations are a sham…yeah, you get that last one, too? We’re supposed to just believe that this investigation is a sham because they say so and don’t produce any evidence to prove it? They lie about everything so why should we believe them this time? I really love the fact that we have the c-team of trump’s lawyers going up against the best in the House…and, even though we know the corrupt outcome, we also know that trump is already sinking in the polls and 4 repub senators (at least) are behind, too so every day trump’s idiots keep up the no witnesses, no documents bullshit, the 70% of the people in the US that want a real trial are getting madder and madder…and our base gets more and more motivated…this fall could be a bloodbath for repubs and they just can’t help themselves…
December 19th
Well…another 5:10 morning and that is three in a row with only about 5 hours of sleep which I will pay for later in the day…and I am worn out this morning and trying to get started without coffee since it hasn’t started yet with the timer set for 6…I guess I could reset it but I think I still have hope that I can sleep until 6 again at some point in the future…I am a little confused that I don’t hurt more than I do after shoveling snow for two hours yesterday…it hurt like crazy while I was doing it and my shoulder has a low level pain now but that is about it…we’ll see how it feels when I take care of last night’s snow…not sure if I’m going to shovel before I go out to get the paper or not since it is early and I don’t want to wake up the neighbors but I do have to do the entry since the plows piled up another 18 inches and I’m not sure if the Miata will bust through it….and if I shovel that, I might as well do the rest of it…but that will make it late getting the paper…decisions…didn’t get anything else done yesterday…even skipped the bike ride after the abuse of shoveling but I will get another 10 miles in today…need to get that done before Man U plays at 11:30 and I do need to remember to watch the Space X launch this morning at 8….and I do need to clean since I am going to have some visitors tomorrow…but, I have all day for that and tomorrow morning, too so I’m not going to work too hard today…more later…
That hurt….
Well….after all of the snow last night, I had almost 8 inches on my driveway that had to be shoveled before it warmed up and turned into the heavy stuff, so I went out around 9 or so to get started…an hour and a half later, I came in sweating through my clothes and pain damn near everywhere…okay, not everywhere but my back, right shoulder, and right thumb were howling at me by the time I finished and I know they are going to be bad tomorrow even with taking something for them…and to cap all that off, about an hour later the snowplow came through and piled snow thigh high in the end of the driveway and that was not the easy to push fluffy stuff from the morning but the semi melted hard snow with the consistency of wet concrete…okay…not quite that bad but it took me almost another half hour just to clean that out…but one good thing is that I piled a lot of it in front of the house so no one can park there until it melts…all of that work took a lot out of me and I am still trying to recover from it and the fact that I only slept about 5 hours last night….needless to say I won’t be getting on the bike today…just don’t have the energy for it and feel pretty lousy, too….so, I’m just going to veg a while and try to recover…I may come back for a political one later but that’s a little iffy…
January 18th
Well…running really early today with getting up around 5 for the final time and I am just trying to get started here with only a little luck…used the french press to make some coffee this morning since I didn’t have a lot left in the pot from yesterday and I knew I was going to need more than the 6 cups in there…it seems like I slept okay but I do feel a little worn out this morning with only getting about 5 hours last night and having a couple of cocktails….I am a little disappointed that Space X has postponed it test launch until tomorrow since I was really looking forward to that to start my day today…oh, well…I guess I’ll have to make do with soccer here in a little while…I did get more work done in the basement yesterday and even mopped part of the floor that looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in 20 years but it will need a wax to get it back to looking like it should…but that is going to wait until I can get the rest of it cleared and I can mop the whole thing again…I did get a 10 mile ride in yesterday and came away drenched again but it felt good to burn a few calories and I’ll do that again today after shoveling the snow but that is going to wait a while until the coffee starts to work…I did get some new speaker wire yesterday to replace the cobbled together ones for the back speakers in the living room and that is going to be a project for the day today so I can get them around the base of the wall instead of the center of the room….and then I need to clean the room, too….not too motivated right now so I am going to watch some tv for a few minutes and have more coffee….more later….
Can’t they look ahead?
Well…with the damage that the trump cultists are doing to both the country and themselves, my question is “can’t they look ahead and see the consequences of their actions on their futures?” Right now Moscow Mitch and the rest of the cult are reveling in the fact that they can still protect idiot boy from paying for his actions…but what happens after the next election? What happens when all of this bullshit from the repubs causes them to lose the next election and the dems control the entire government? Hey, Bill Barr, you’d better start looking for a country with no extradition treaty because, unlike Obama did with the Bush criminals, there is going to be a reckoning for your using the justice department as trump’s protection racket and for your continued perjury along with your role in the Ukraine extortion. That goes for Mulvaney, Pompeo, and the rest of this criminal enterprise…I know those of us in the reality based world will make it our jobs to ensure that the law will mean something again…that everyone has to obey the law or suffer the consequences…no more protection for a president from indictment while he’s in office…and every damn ICE office who has mistreated people looking for asylum better start looking for legal representation because they will be investigated and charged with their crimes….and every damn private prison will be shut down and investigated as well….the crimes they are committing on a daily basis for profit will be exposed for what they are…just another way to hate brown people while the repubs stand there, cheer, and allow them to make billions on the suffering of immigrants. I have asked the question before “can these people really be that stupid?” and the only answer given their behavior of the past two decades is Yup…they are all too damn dumb to see father than the next rigged votes in the senate…there is going to be hell to pay…
