Well…it was a pretty good day yesterday with having a nice, long lunch with T with lots of laughs and good conversation….slept okay last night and feel okay this morning but my stomach is still giving me fits today and I’m sure it is from not eating enough..so, today I will try to rectify that with a big lunch and dinner…well…big for me anyway….I am still sore from going hard on the bike but that is a good sore that I have earned so that I can deal with….my back is bad again today, though, and that is not from the bike…just getting old I guess and I don’t like it…not much to do today…just the normal stuff and some cleaning along with cooking and resumes…damn resumes…more later…
August 16th
Well…it was a kind of crappy day yesterday with feeling off all day and I think it’s from not eating enough…my stomach was iffy all day and I didn’t have any energy but I think I feel better today…ate about 500 extra calories yesterday and I’m hoping that that will carry me through the day today….didn’t do much with feeling crappy other than watch sports and lie on the couch and today doesn’t look much different…I do have lunch with T to look forward to but I’ll wait to hear from her before I put it firmly in my plans…I am still sore today so It looks like that will be the new normal and my allergies have been bad the past few days…it looks like I will have to take something for them today since I was plugged up when I got up this morning…not much to do today…lunch…maybe..but that’s about it…when I get home there will be races and soccer but I will take it easy and see if my stomach will hold up….,more later…
August 15th
Well…it was an okay day yesterday but I lost, badly, at pool but that was okay…going back to the Shame to play was okay, too, so I guess it was a good day….and, I got three out here when I normally just do one on pool days so that is something…not sure what but something….feel okay today, too, even after not being good last night so that is cool…it was nice to hear the rain just before bed last night but I really wanted some of the storms that bracketed GR to the east and west…oh, well…my back is sore today and it has been a pain for a couple of weeks now and I guess I’ll just have to live with it….doesn’t hurt when I’m on the bike so that’s the main thing…not much to do today…going to watch soccer and racing and try to clean a bit but that’s about it….more later…

Well…just a little short one on the jaw-dropping stupidity that is coming out of ole JEB!’s campaign over the past couple of days…with the rise of the Black Lives Matter group and it’s interaction with the various campaigns since they started in earnest, ole JEB! thought he’d get out ahead of it by announcing that he met with BLM in Las Vegas before a speech he did there…only one teeny, tiny little problem with that..it was a lie…he met with some black people and a repub lobbyist but BLM was not there…not one of them..but, ole JEB! thought it was a good idea to lie about it…either that or he thinks that all black people belong to BLM so if he meets with any black person, he has met with BLM….and this guy wants to be president of all of America….what a lying sack he is….just go home, JEB! you are way out of your depth…geez…

Well…I’m sure you heard this idiots comments on the Planned Parenthood nonsense when he said that he didn’t know why we needed to spend 500 million dollars on women’s health…yeah, that is pretty stupid…but he really topped himself at a foreign policy seminar yesterday where he said that the Iraq war was “a good deal” and he would do it again even knowing that the reasons for going to war there were all lies. Here’s the cost of his “good deal”…over 4400 dead US soldiers (not counting the PTSD affected ones that came home and killed themselves), over 115,000 dead Iraqis, 1.7 TRILLION dollars in direct costs that possibly could balloon to over 6 trillion dollars once the total costs of care for the troops is counted….I don’t know if he is stupid or just cynical but to me, and anyone else, this could never be a “good deal”….war is never a “good deal” and the toll on the military and our country done by his “good deal” will never be repaired…I just hate this guy and his entire family…geez…

Well…it was an okay day yesterday and I did get a few things done so that was progress…the car looks good but that was all I did…okay…I got one thing done….slept okay last night and had a weird dream that had the low battery chime from my phone in it…yeah…strange…feel a little crappy this morning after being good all week but not last night….not sure I am going to have cocktails much anymore….I am sore…at least my back is today and that has been bugging me for a week now and I don’t like it…it’s not as bad as when I was younger but it seems to make me stiffer now than it did…not much to do today…pool, of course, but at a new place and I’m not sure I like that much….but that’s life and I guess I have to deal with it…more later…
New server….
Well…just got the site migrated to a new server that should make it more reliable….so maybe no more week long outages…I hope anyway….have been working on a new topic for the day and haven’t found one yet…have been kind of busy getting the car cleaned after all the gravel yesterday but I have it done now…new wipers…and that irritates me a little..bought some Michelin wipers that you would think would be high quality and they only lasted about 4 months before they started to steak like crazy…and the paint on the arms faded so bad they looked like they were 10 years old…and, I went back to rain-x for the windows just to try to keep them clean for a while….but, no politics right now…going to go back to the phone and look for a topic…more later….
August 13th
Well…running a little late today with doing the grocery run and wanting to have that second cup of coffee that I haven’t gotten to yet…not sure what that means but it sounded good in my head…slept okay last night but not good but better than the other night so that is something…didn’t get much done yesterday but go out and scout locations to shoot pool and did not find one that is better than the Shame…so, that looks like where we will be going this week…and, all of the roads to the bars that I checked out were just graveled so my car looks like it has been in the salt for a month and that means a wash this morning before the bike ride….what a pain….it looks like the day will be working on the car to get it clean and changing the wipers, along with rain-xing the glass to see if that will help on the cool mornings….the Lions start their preseason tonight so I will have something to watch tonight instead of digging back into shows I’ve already watched….
Oh, one thing I forgot earlier in the week was to say RIP to Buddy Baker…one of the Nascar drivers that I like when I started to follow the sport many, many, many, years ago…who died earlier in the week at 74….
JEB! crashes and burns on foreign policy…
Well….in what was supposed to be a defining speech that would show ole JEB!’s foreign policy chops, his speech at the Reagan library instead exposed the shallow, naive person that ole JEB! is especially on the middle east. His speech did the normal crap that is red meat to the right….Obama bad, Hillary bad and right wing policies of intervention are good and necessary and the only thing that will bring peace to the middle east….but the whole problem here is that the interventionist crap plays well with the right in this country but is ridiculed by the rest of the world for what they are…the purile thoughts of someone out of his depth and is reliving the bad decisions of the neocons that roiled the middle east in the first place….but the big thing is his statement that he will rescind the Iran deal on day one if he is elected…but the rest of the signatories to the agreement and the UN are saying “not so fast”…you can’t abrogate an international agreement unilaterally on a whim….and that sums up the unreality where ole JEB! lives….he lives in the same fantasy world where his party resides…that the US can do anything they damn well please and everyone else just has to take it….he is just detached from reality…and will never be elected…ever…geez…

Well…it was an okay day yesterday and I made a little cash so that is cool…there will be groceries this week….back to sleeping crappy again just like yesterday and I almost forgot what it was like to wake up exhausted…but, I remember now and I don’t like it at all…I did get some stuff done yesterday so that was progress and I do have some things to do today, too, so that will keep the boredom at bay some….I have been so sore lately that I may have to take a day off the bike to let things heal up some…and these are not normal pains…well, now that I think of it, they are except for the shoulder stuff so we’ll go hard again today to see if it makes it worse….I do have to wash the car today but the workout and bike ride come first…not much to do today…just the car and cooking lunch but I may take the easy way out for that and just make a pizza…I do feel good that I have been losing weight but not fast enough for me…more later….
