Well…with the repubs doing their best to telegraph the chaos they are planning when they take over the house in a month, Nancy Pelosi has a parting gift for them since they are planning to hold the country hostage with the cost being cutting SS and Medicare…Nancy and her counterparts in the senate are working on a deal to fund the government for a year so so they will only have a year to screw things up until the 2024 election…now this is something I’ve advocated for in the lame duck session of congress, get everything done you want and that the country needs before the bomb throwers take over and wreck the place…and they’ve started out well with codifying same sex and interracial marriage and I really do hope they get the protection of democracy done by passing a new voting rights act and federal abortion rights…but there really is no time since in the 30 days they have left, they are only going to be in session for half that….so get after it dems before the darkness falls…geez…

Changing of the guard…
Well…the news was just announced that both Nancy Pelosi and Steny Hoyer, the speaker and majority leader of the house dems are not going to run for leadership positions in the new repub majority house….so we will see a complete changing of the guard for the first time in over 20 years and I am curious about who will be stepping up to lead the dems…I think it’s about time for the younger generation of more progressive dems to take over but I still think Nancy especially was just what the dems needed and was responsible for lots of good bills being passed including the ACA…and she has another month to go and it will be interesting to see if she can get one last thing done like abortion rights…she has already gotten protection of same sex marriages through and Biden will sign that in the next week or so, and I think she should try to go out with a bang…but, for now, all I have to say is thank you, Nancy…one of the best speakers in history….
The new policy is to ignore them…
Well…it appears that there is a new dem strategy tha is being played out int he House right now…and that is to ignore the repubs completely…and I think that Nancy started it when she did not let McCarthy appoint the bomb throwers that he uses to disrupt every damn committee and even the two impeachments….and she called McCarthy a moron yesterday for opposing the mask mandates to try to stem the uncontrolled spread of the delta variant in the House…she wouldn’t have to do that if the dam repubs would get vaccinated…all of the dems have but at least half of the repub reps aren’t and that is a recipe for disaster in any enclosed space right now….and it appears that even though Michigan is doing good against the delta, mask mandates are coming back even for the vaccinated and I am pissed about that…how long do we have to shut down our lives just because a bunch of right wing assholes refuse to be vaccinated? How long do we have to let these pricks screw up this country with their delusional bullshit? I really have had enough of coddling these morons…how about we exclude these idiots from normal life until they are vaccinated…okay, this one veered off course but that happens sometimes…at least I wrote something….
More crimes on tape…
Well…geez, what the hell is it going to take to remove the criminal in chief this time? Yesterday, the idiot got on the phone to the Georgia SOS to threaten him into “finding” 11,780 votes to give the win in Georgia since Joe won by 11,779 votes….and he kept this crap up for an hour and even threatened the SOS with “crimes” if he didn’t commit fraud and manufacture the votes. Now, in Georgia, this is a felony…well…it’s a felony in any state and I’m sure there are even federal laws against it and it is clear as day he is asking for fraud to be perpetrated against the US and the people of Georgia…I am getting damn tired of trump being let off for the hundreds of crimes he has committed and I hope that the AG of Georgia now will be filing an indictment to be presented on the 20th of January at 12:01 pm…this has to happen…and what should be happening today is another impeachment article…no hearings or anything like that…just pass the article and deliver it to the senate and make the repubs there defend committing another felony that will destroy forever the idea that the repubs are the “law and order” party…get on it Nancy…oh, and get another indictment ready for Mark Meadows, who was on the call with trump….
Social distancing….
Well…as you can see, I’m not counting the days of the recommended social distancing anymore because it appears that it is going to last a couple of months and I don’t want to get depressed when I see how many days it’s been…I did text all of the kids yesterday and they are doing fine and are all working from home…my son in NYC is taking a couple of weeks off since it is a hotbed of the virus infection and he is trying hard to avoid it…and I am a little concerned about him but what can I do? Talked to a few friends over the past couple of days and, with them being normal people who go out and do things, it appears that this stay at home thing is much harder for them than it is for me…at least at this point…I really haven’t had any social life for a couple of years now so I’m used to being by myself…and part of that was the need to save cash until I officially retired and got some money coming in…oh, and that reminds me that I need to bitch about something…it appears that the stimulus that is wending it’s way through congress and is supposed to put money in people’s hand to spend to keep the economy going is mostly a bailout of business and individuals have had to file taxes last year to get anything…and that leaves out all of us who are living on Social Security since we don’t pay taxes on it…and we are the ones who can use the money the most and will spend it….so, the repub bullshit that this is going to help people is blown up…and they are giving billions to cruise ship companies that are not even American…but they are well connected in conservative circles….did you expect anything else? Oh, well…I won’t starve but I do worry about the older folks who could really use the cash and I fault Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer for letting this happen…okay, that’s enough for now….more later…
Where the hell are Pelosi and Schiff?
Well….not sure if you heard yet that the idiot trump fired the DNI Joseph McGuire for following the law and reporting to the House intelligence committee that the Russians are it again…they are doing everything they can to help trump…again…and surprise this is just part of a large conspiracy with the repubs to let Putin do it…with McConnell, Nunes, Goetz, and the rest of them all in on working with the Russians to hurt our country for the dictator trump. My question right now is: where the hell are Pelosi and Schiff? The subpoenas should be flying for everyone who is involved in this criminal enterprise, and yet all we hear from Pelosi is just some innocuous tweet and not the all out hair on fire reaction that we should be seeing from both of them. I just can’t write about this anymore…at least today…our country is being attacked and no one is doing a damn thing about it….
A cool bit of shade…
Well…not sure if you watched the SOTU last night, and I’ll admit I didn’t since I can’t stand trump and how his stench has polluted all of the institutions he touches…I mean, giving the presidential medal of freedom to frickin Rush Limbaugh? The guy who has done more damage to this country than anyone other than trump or mcconnell? Not sure how long it’s going to take to fumigate that stench but I’ll bet the dem who is elected is going to make almost a full time job of it….and I want a damn asterisk by every judge, war criminal, and medal of freedom that idiot boy has presented….but, that’s not what this one is about…at the end of the lying, racist speech last night, Nancy threw a huge bunch of shade at the idiot by theatrically tearing up her copy of idiot boy’s speech on live tv right over trump’s shoulder…and of course, the repubs thought it was the worst, most devisive thing that has ever happened in the history of the country…and that made me laugh…trump has shown nothing but contempt for everything in this country and it’s institutions…so for Nancy to show her utter contempt for trump was a fitting response…and it will be a rallying point for the rest of the year until the election when we throw trump and his cronies out…yay Nancy…
This is what Nancy should do…
Well…with Moscow Mich McConnell stating yesterday that he intends to hold the impeachment trial without getting the articles or any evidence from the House, and not calling any witnesses or asking for any documents, it is even more clear that he intends the trial to be just another part of the coverup of trump’s criminality…and the pundits out there are saying that ole Mitch has checkmated Nancy Pelosi and there is nothing she can do about it. All I have to say is wait just a damn minute…I have thought about this the past few days and that just isn’t true…MoscowMitch may be able to hold a sham trial in the senate but that doesn’t keep Nancy from re-opening the impeachment inquiry and subpoenaing Bolton, Mulvaney, and Pompeo and then just waiting to have their appearances ordered by the court…..and this will drag on until this fall just before the election and keep it in front of voters until then. As time goes on, the repubs keep inventing new restrictions on the impeachment, saying that the House only gets one chance and since they have finished the impeachment, that’s it…they can’t go back and do anything else…but that’s not true…Nancy runs the House and can do whatever she wants, especially in the face of Mitch’s conspiring with trump. The statement she should put out would go something like this: Since Mitch McConnell has made it clear that he will not hold a trial that supports the right of the American people to know what the president and his cronies have done, but to help coverup the president’s wrongdoing, he has left the House no choice but to re-open the impeachment inquiry to make sure the American people finally get the truth about trump’s extortion of a foreign government for personal political gain. Never in the history of this country has a Senate Majority leader ignored his oath to the Constitution and blocked the calling of witnesses or the requst of documents in an impeachment trial so we in the House will do our duty to our country and the American people by re-opening the impeachment in Donald Trump. Now, that is what she could do…the question is will she? She really should….
Damn, I was right about something…
Well….okay, I don’t get to say this too often but it feels good when I can….Damn, I was right about something…after the impeachment votes last night, Nancy Pelosi came out and alluded to something that I wrote about earlier…that she may delay sending the impeachment articles to the senate until she is sure that there will be a fair trial there…and by fair she means that not one rigged by moscow mitch to guarantee that the idiot trump is not removed even though he is an admitted criminal. I know she couched it in more vague language that I would have, saying that she needs to know what the playing field looked like before she could put together the team to present the prosecution, but Adam Schiff made it abundantly clear that moscow mitch is rigging the trial and that will be a consideration whether or not the articles will be sent. Now, I don’t know how much leverage this gives Nancy but the idea that they can keep hammering moscow mitch in the press for the corrupt asshole he is must be appealing since they have little else they can do. We’ll see if moscow mitch doubles down on his corruption this morning since he is having a press conference this morning at 9:30….that should be good…
As expected, they are all criminals…
Well…with the whole house vote on going forward with impeachment of the criminal trump, we found out something else about all of the damn repubs…they are all criminals just like the idiot trump…what else can you call someone who aids and abets trump’s crimes by ignoring the mountain of evidence that has already been revealed that trump and his cronies extorted Ukraine to get them to attack Joe Biden with a bogus “investigation”. Today, every damn repub voted against going forward with the impeachment and we saw them bleating all day about how it’s “illegal” for Nancy Pelosi to go forward…and now they are diving right into the trump swamp by filing ethics complaints against Nancy and Adam Schiff for doing their jobs to uphold the constitution…another bit of obstruction of congress that these criminals should pay for in the next election….and they are going to…when almost 60% of the country wants trump impeached and removed…much more than who voted for the idiot boy by the way…this is going to be a stone around the necks of all of these conspirators and are going to cost them the senate and the presidency. We just need to hammer them every day and make sure that the public knows that their support of trump is no different that of a getaway driver in a bank robbery…he is still guilty of the robbery as much as those who went inside…they need to pay for this betrayal of our country…
