Well…it was an okay day yesterday filled with sports so I wasn’t as bored as normal…and Michigan and State won so that was cool…slept okay but don’t remember it so I wonder if that’s true…didn’t get anything done but today will be different…I need to get the cobwebs cleaned out of the living room today but no cooking so that will make it an easy day….and another sports one with the F1 race on right now and the soccer, football, and racing on later so there will be a good nap when the Lions play….it is too cold to go out on the bike yet so I guess I’ll have to hit the couch for a while to wait it out but I do need to get out before 10 since Man U is on at 11 and I do want to see that….not much to do today…just sports it looks like and taking it easy….I will clean something just to keep the guilt at bay…more later…

Jade Helm is over…
Well…not sure if you remember this one or not but I find it funny enough to write about it again….there was a huge military exercise in Texas and other southwest states this summer…just like they have held it for years and years, but this year the crazies on the right went nuts with their conspiracy theories saying that it was going to be a takeover of Texas by the federal government. Not only a takeover, but there were secret tunnels under abandoned Walmarts and FEMA camps where “true patriots” were going to be rounded up and then their guns were going to be taken away…and something, something….you get my drift. The funny thing here is no matter how ridiculous this all sounds, almost half of all repubs believed this crap…now, how frickin delusional do you have to be to believe this nonsense? Now, they no longer have to be scared…Jade Helm ended last week and, as far as I can see, Texas is still there, no one has been rounded up and the tunnels under the Walmarts are still empty….I wonder what the next big conspiracy is going to be for these folks? What must it be like to live in that kind of a fevered brain? Something I never want to know…geez…
September 19th
Well…it was an okay day yesterday but I didn’t do much..no pool since Tom wasn’t feeling well…so, you would think I’d get something done but I didn’t…I did get my new Roku in the mail yesterday and got that set up and it is pretty cool…but it is slower than my old one and that is a little annoying….slept okay last night, I think, but I feel a little slow today with the pain in my lower back flaring up again…sitting here watching the Chelsea/Arsenal match and it is a little boring with the play being choppy…but, I still will watch since I really want Chelsea to lose…they have stunk the place up and are in 17th place after being champions last year…not much to do today…sitting here waiting for the F1 qualifying to start and that will put me late on the bike today but that is okay…I do have to try to find a new front sprocket for the bike today since the old one is just skipping all the time and it is annoying…more later…
September 18th
Well…it was an okay day yesterday and another one that I didn’t get anything done but the grocery run…but that kind of describes a normal day for me right now so I guess it’s okay….slept kind of crappy, again, and that’s normal, too, but boring so I won’t talk about that, either….my upper back has started to heal from I don’t know what but now my lower has gotten worse with it hurting on the bike which it never has before…going to have to try to crack it later today to see if that will help….I do need to get moving and get the bike ride in early today so I can see F1 practice that is on a little later….not much to do today…pool, of course, but that is about it for the day…won’t even attempt to clean since I know I won’t get to it….and I don’t want to feel guilty by not doing it….more later….
JEB! really is the more stupid one….
Well…just had to make one more comment on the debate last night when ole JEB! praised his idiot younger brother with the lie “he kept us safe”….and I just couldn’t believe the rest of the idiots on stage just let that one go…yeah, JEB! he kept us safe except for the 2,790 people that were killed in the Trade Center and the other 300 Americans that were killed by terrorists during the rest of his terms…and even dumber than that statement is the new tweet that JEB! sent out this morning showing the idiot younger brother standing in the rubble of the WTC with a little JEB! logo in the corner…rubble that included the remains of the dead from those attacks which he disrespected by using the rubble pile for a photo op….I am beginning to wonder if JEB! really has anything between his ears but air….stupid, stupid, JEB!
The debates…
Well….that was a wasted 4 1/2 hours…just had to start with that and get it over with…I did watch both debates and I am still not over it…it still pollutes me like the slime from “Ghostbusters” and no amount of showering will wash it off. I am glad I chose to have cocktails since I have never seen such a moronic, stupid group of candidates in my life who only parroted the talking points that we have all heard way too many times…Obama bad, tax cuts good, Planned Parenthood are baby murderers, and that war, war, war is the bestest thing that the US can do…this along with the fact that none of them seem to understand how the government works, bitching about how the current repub controlled congress has not been able to get rid of Obamacare or enact any of the right wing nonsense that they have proposed…conveniently forgetting that even if they got this crap passed, it would be met with a certain veto by Obama. But the biggest and stupidist comments were reserved for the supreme court and again showed that these folks have no idea how the government works…calling the upholding of Obamacare and the gay marriage decisions “Illegal” decisions that could be ignored by anyone who wanted to. Geez….I want that 4 1/2 hours back…and I want these idiots to just go away…one good thing that came out of it was that whoever the dem candidate is going to be will mop the floor with any of these idiots…can’t wait to see that…
September 17th
Well…it was an okay day yesterday but I didn’t get much done…I did watch the repub debates last night and will do one on that a little later…I did need cocktails for that so I feel a little slow this morning….slept okay and had some dreams that I don’t remember so I won’t talk about those….I have been trying to find a new front sprocket for the bike and I’m not having a lot of luck…the old one is wearing out and skipping so it need to be replaced soon…makes the bike ride kind of annoying…the upper back pain is almost gone and that is a good thing..but now the lower back is hurting again and it hurt on the bike for the first time yesterday…I will be curious to see if it hurts again today since it hurts to walk….not much to do today…just the bike ride and some cleaning since I cooked yesterday…the half pork shoulder came out so good after the brining that I think I’ll buy another one when they are on sale again….more later…
More repub debates…
Well…today’s the day for the second round of the repub debates and I am not sure if I am looking forward to them or not…and the reason for that is that it is a no cocktail night and I usually need at least a few cocktails to be able to tolerate them at all…but, it may be fun anyway just to watch who screws up since none of them are too bright…and, I am a little interested to see who tries to out-Trump Trump by veering way to the right. The one thing I don’t understand is why no one tries to stake out the center…okay, less right positions that have a little compassion on immigration and that recognize that giving everything to the rich is just not sustainable…I know, the base primary voters won’t buy any of that but it would seem that there would be a way to lie to them to make them support a candidate that is pretending to be in the center…after all, they lie to the base all the time and they just keep eating it up and voting for these idiots…yeah, idiots electing idiots and the dems not voting has gotten us to where we are…so it has been successful for the repubs….hope not this time…make some popcorn, this might be good….geez…
September 16th
Well…it was a good day yesterday with having a nice, long HH with T on the eve of her going back to work…great conversations and lots of laughs…made my day…slept okay last night but had the lost car dreams again last night where something was just preventing me from remembering where I parked it….that one has happened quite a bit over the past month or so…I guess I’ll have to write it down when I park in my dreams….didn’t get much done yesterday and today looks much the same but I am going to make the rest of the pork shoulder that I had in the freezer…the upper back pain seems to be easing but I am still curious how I hurt it in the first place….need to avoid doing that again but how to do that if I don’t remember? I did make a mistake in yesterday’s post…I’m coming up on 2,000 miles on the bike, not 1,900, so there are only 400 left to go to get to 25K….not much to do today…just cooking and cleaning…I did have to order a new Roku since they have stopped supporting mine and I can’t load any channels anymore…I did get a nice one for only 55 bucks delivered so I guess I can live with it….more later…
Deer Smear….
Well…it hasn’t been too weird on the trail lately so whenever anything out of the ordinary happens, I think I need to use it for a topic since i am a little bored with politics lately. Today, when I was on the sidewalk heading to the little park at the end of Hanna Lake on 60th street…I saw probably the worst deer accident that I have ever seen outside of the e-way….this small deer was smeared over the pavement for almost 50 feet and the only thing you could recognize were the hooves…whoever hit this thing must have been moving pretty fast or it was a semi or something like that….but, the car parts that were left behind were not semi parts so I guess it was just a car…there was a side mirror lying on the sidewalk along with glass fragments and other sundry pieces….not sure how they drove away from that one….if it was the Miata, it would probably be totaled…and I’d be dead….yow….
