Well…hey, GOP…where the hell did your party of “law and order” go? You have been the ones harping for the past 40 years that the dems are “weak” on crime and I guess that meant that we don’t break the law enough? Over the past week, we have seen almost every damn officer in the trump administration either break the law or incite others to do it…if it isn’t Barr obstructing justice by “editing” the Mueller report, to Mnuchin directly breaking the clear law by not releasing idiot boy’s tax returns to congress, to trump blatantly ordering his CBP officers to break the law at the border and dangling a pardon to get them to do it, all of the repubs are nothing but criminals now who only mouthed their allegiance to the constitution all the while doing the bidding of the criminal in chief who squats in the WH. Now dems, it is time to use all of the power of government to bring these criminals to justice starting with Mnuchin who you can hold in contempt of Congress and actually have him arrested and held until he complies with the law…and then Nadler, you need to subpoena the Mueller report and file suit against Barr and trump to get a judge to order the complete report released to congress as is their right as part of their constitutional responsibilities of oversight of the executive branch…and then, Nadler, start the damn impeachment of this asshole…there are so many things he has done that meet the standard of “high crimes and misdemeanors” that this needs to be done…now…get after it…impeach…

Told you so…
Well…if you’ve been coming here for a while, you probably read a post that I did when the repub tax scam was passed where I predicted that the giveaway to the rich and corporations would raise taxes on the middle class to pay for it…and you heard McConnell and the rest of the repubs howl whenever anyone called them out on it…so, today…a new study just came out that said…guess what? That the majority of Americans saw their taxes go up after the passage of the law…and with the withholding shenanigans that the repubs did to snow people into thinking they were getting a tax cut, most returns are down this year and over 20% of the people filing actually owe more money to the IRS. Let’s get this straight, just like was done here in Michigan when they started taxing pensions, and then gave tax cuts to corporations and the rich to “create jobs”…it is the same thing as me writing a check to a CEO for a thousand bucks…the people who owe money this year are writing a check to a corporation or one of the 1% so they can buy another summer home or their 43rd car….and the repubs continue to lie about that scam every day…and the people who voted for them are still so damn dumb they still support them even after writing the checks….oh, and one last thing…after the tax scam, over 65 of the largest corporations in America didn’t pay a damn dime in taxes….that is what the repub party is all about…a reverse Robin Hood…robbing the poor to give to the rich….
trump’s sister…
Well…if you had any doubt that the entire trump family are crooks, the latest news should wipe that out right now…just yesterday it was announced that trump’s sister was resigning as a judge to end an investigation into…wait for it…fraudulent tax schemes that she participated in as part of the family’s tax fraud that ran all the way through the 80’s and 90’s….this is a continuation of the earlier story that the NY times ran that trump and his family manipulated their net worth to avoid paying taxes on inherited money from donnie boy’s father….and this is all under investigation by the state of NY and guess what would really help with getting to the bottom of this fraud? Yep, trump’s tax returns and it is just another reason why idiot boy is fighting so hard to keep them secret…they’re all damn crooks and need to go to jail….
It’s official…Barr’s a criminal, too…
Well…welcome to the latest repub coverup of trump’s criminality…did you expect anything different from Bill Barr? He is editing the Mueller report to make sure it doesn’t say anything bad about trump and trying to keep that information from the congress who has the right to see it…this is as much obstruction of justice as anything trump has done and the congress needs to hold him accountable…and just this morning it got so, so much worse with Barr announcing that he is going to “investigate” the people in the intel community who found that the Russians were helping trump…calling these folks doing their jobs protecting the US “spies” for investigating the clear contacts between trump and Russian spies. So, this is where we’re at…we have a lawless administration using the tactics of every would be dictator in the world being aided and abetted by the entire repub party and they will destroy this country before the next election when we can throw them out…there may be too much damage to repair and I will blame the repubs for helping it happen…impeach….
Abuse of power?
Well…c’mon folks, does trump really have to shoot someone on 5th avenue to have the congress do anything about him? The latest from the criminal in chief is as clear of an abuse of power as has ever been seen…a couple of days ago, as the idiot boy was touring his fake border wall in the southwest of the country, he told the assembled CBP officers there to ignore the judge’s ruling that said closing the border to asylum seekers was against the law….and to tell them that the “country was full” and could not take any more immigrants. Now, I’m old enough to remember Nixon and Watergate and the fact that one of the articles of impeachment was the abuse of power by Nixon by telling people who worked for him to lie to the FBI and break the law…now, how is what the idiot trump done any different? He has ordered people who work for him to break the law and to ignore a judges order to follow the law…I am getting damn tired of no one doing anything about this criminal *president who is destroying the rule of law in this country…and now, I pointing my fingers at you dems…you have plenty of evidence to impeach this asshole and you should just frickin do it…I don’t think the country will survive until the 2020 election….impeach….
I guess locking kids in cages wasn’t enough for trump…
Well…I’m kind of happy to see Kirstjen Nielsen get fired from her post as head of DHS but, with trump, you just know that whomever he finds to replace her is going to be much worse. I guess locking kids in cages, lying every damn day about it, and letting over 3,000 Puerto Ricans (Americans) die just for trump’s racist hatred just wasn’t enough to keep her job. The damage that the family separation policy (yeah, she lied to congress about that, too) has done to both parents and children is not something that can ever be fixed and should be hung around Nielsen’s neck every damn day she is out in public, and every damn time she is out on the wingnut welfare circuit cashing in on being the monster she is….to see these children and see the reporting on the damage that ripping them away from their parents does to them is just heartbreaking and every damn American should be incensed that this racist bullshit is being done in our names…or in the name of Stephen Miller, the racist in chief who is the one behind the policies of hatred that has now infested this country. The only hope we have to stop this damage is in the next election since the rest of the repubs are just fine with all this bullshit…and we need to get a pledge from every damn dem running that this crap will be reversed first thing as soon as we take back the WH….impeach this son of a bitch now….
A bad day for trump…
Well…not sure if it was coordinated or not, but there was loads of bad news coming out of the House yesterday for the idiot trump and his minions. The house Ways and Means committee who deals with all tax issues, formally requested 6 years of idiot boy’s personal tax returns along with the returns of about a half dozen of his holding companies….the key here is the request went to the IRS under a law that was specifically written in the 1920’s to get the tax returns of Woodrow Wilson and others in his administration as the House was investigating corruption…sound familiar? The key thing here is that they don’t have to get trump’s permission to get them and the IRS is required to hand over any requested return to the chair of the committee….and trump is so ignorant of how this works that he spouted off yesterday with his tired old talking point that his returns are still under audit so he can’t release them…donnie, donnie, get it through your thick head, you don’t have anything to do with this process…you can’t stop it you moron. The second bit of bad news that trump got was that the Jerry Nadler, the chair of the House Judiciary Committee got a subpoena approved to send to Bill Barr for the entire, unredacted Mueller report and all of the underlying information…not the justice obstructing 4 page propaganda letter that Barr released…and Nadler is ready to go to court to get the report, but he is being nice about it and giving Barr the opportunity to do what’s right instead of obstructing justice…remember, Bill…John Mitchell went to prison for 19 months for doing just what you’re doing when he tried to protect Nixon…oh, and one last thing…investigators and prosecutors who worked on the Mueller report are calling bullshit on Barr and his summary’s conclusion that trump didn’t obstruct justice…saying that it is a total misrepresentation of what is actually in the report….so, trump had a very no good, terrible day yesterday…and that is going to continue until he’s gone and in prison….can’t wait for today’s meltdown….impeach…
Oranges and wind turbine cancer…
Well…cripes…as every day goes by, the idiot trump sinks deeper into dementia and abject craziness….just yesterday during a press conference with the head of the UN, idiot boy just had to go on and on about the Mueller report and it’s “origins”…the only problem is that trump didn’t say origins but oranges…and continued to say it until his addled brain moved on to something else as the world watched…with any other *president, that would have been enough to get him hustled off to Bethesa for mental tests to see just how addled his brain is…but that was not the worst of his day….during a fundraiser in front of other repubs, he went off on wind power again… but not his normal schtick that you won’t be able to watch your tv when the wind isn’t blowing, no, he came up with an entirely new reason why wind power isn’t good for the country…I guess now the sound from wind turbines causes cancer…yep, you heard that right..he really believes that sound causes cancer and that, if you can see a turbine from your house, your home value will plunge 75%….god, this guy is in control of our nukes? He finished up the day by repeatedly asserting that his father was born in Germany…something he has done for weeks now but guess what? He’s lying about that, too…his father was born here in the US and really shows his mental decline since the Russians installed him. What is it going to take, repubs? Is getting your radical right wing judges worth putting the entire world in danger? Okay…stupid question…it is to you….impeach….
Snyder is going to get what he deserves…
Well…there was a little bit of good news from here in Michigan over the weekend that I almost forgot to write about…but, I remembered so here goes….you remember a few years back, the repubs in charge of the state were doing what repubs do, trying to make a profit off the water supply of Flint by switching it from Detroit where good, clean water was supplied for decades to the Flint river that was still polluted from years of industrial dumping from GM and other companies. With the finances of the city in dire straights due to population loss and cuts to state aid that is rampant under the repubs as they give tax breaks to corporations and the rich, Snyder appointed an emergency manager to take over the city…displacing the elected officials from the mayor on down whose only reason for being there was to cut costs with no regard for the safety of the residents. When the switch to the Flint River was done, the corrosive nature of the water started to leach lead from the old pipes and expose 100,000 people to huge amounts of lead…the big thing here is that Snyder and his cronies knew about the lead problem for a year and did nothing about it as men, women, and children were being poisoned. So, this weekend, Snyder was added back to the class action suit filed on behalf of the poisoned city and is now exposed to paying damages for his incompetence/inaction or the repub disease of just not caring about anyone who is not rich or a donor to their party…I, for one, hope he ends up losing everything and the people of Flint can at least use those millions to try to help fix the damage that was done…typical repub….
Subpoenas are coming…
Well…with Bill Barr still trying to obstruct justice by withholding the entire Mueller report from the House committees, the chair of the Judiciary committee, Jerry Nadler, has had enough and is readying subpoenas for the report and all supporting information to be issued by the end of the week. In a normal administration…or any administration before the criminal trump and his cronies infested the government, it was normal for the special counsel to supply the report and the underlying data as soon as the report was issued…every SC in the modern era has done this and there is no reason why Barr should not follow precedent…other than he can’t protect trump if he does…and let’s remember why there was a SC in the first place…to ensure an independent investigation that would be free of interference by the trump political appointees who run the justice department. So now, the real fight starts…and if Barr ignores the subpoenas, Nadler can send officers of the House to round up those who are ignoring the subpoenas and they can be held in contempt of congress until they comply….this could be an interesting week…
