Well…I am just getting so sick of the political ads here in Michigan, especially the lying ones from our wonderful governor that have revived the zombie lie that Obamacare cut 700 billion out of medicare and seniors are going to not get the care they need and then will die….this one was debunked so many times but I am going to do it again here…the 700 billion dollars were for cost savings in payments to Medicare providers and slowing the rise in costs…not one senior would even know that these cuts have happened since their care will not change….so, if you hear anyone talking about these cuts..cut them off before they get into the talking point…I hate to hear them and I bet you do, too…geez…

I don’t underestand some things…
Well….there is good news here in Michigan in the senate race with Gary Peters pulling out to a 10% plus lead in the latest polls and that I can understand…Land is the most stupid, incompetent candidate I have ever seen with no ability to think past the talking points that she tries to regurgitate and even gets those wrong…but, what I don’t understand is how ole Snyder is up on Schauer in the governor’s race…after all, Snyder gave the middle class a kick in the gut with right to work, taxed retirees and gave the money to CEO’s, and has lied through his teeth about the crony capitalism he has been practicing since he lied his way into office…now, I may be unusual in that I follow politics and pride myself in knowing what is going on, but people, how can you vote against yourself and keep giving this country to the rich? I just shake my head every day…geez…
Ebola, schmebola….
Well…I have been shaking my head for the past couple of days on the panic that the media and the repubs are trying to stoke about the “Ebola crisis” of three patients with the disease..one that was the carrier and the other two were nurses who took care of the man while he was dying. The fearmongering seems to be working with the ignorant and fearful….a teacher from the northeast was put on paid leave for 21 days just for traveling to Dallas….no where near the hospital but I guess that doesn’t matter….and parents from a school in Mississippi (of course it’s Mississippi) pulled their children for the reason that the principal made a trip to Zambia a month before…no Ebola in Zambia but these ignorant idiots don’t care about that since their lives are ruled by fear of everything….but now, when the 41 people who were quarantined for contact with the dead man show no symptoms after 21 days, you don’t hear a thing about it in the media….Ebola is an extremely hard disease to catch but the right just needs a new fear to keep their base scared out of their wits so they will go out to vote…maybe we should spread the rumor on right wing websites that you can get Ebola from voting machines….that would be cool…geez….
The head of the FBI just made me laugh…
Well…just read an article that quotes the head of the FBI, James Comey, and it made laugh so hard…the gist of it is that if Google and Apple go ahead with their plans to encrypt their new phones, every murderer, or other criminal is going to get away with every crime since the cops won’t be able to search your phone without a warrant….that may be a little hyperbole on my part but what this idiot is saying is if we can’t spy on the 99% of people don’t commit crimes, then the criminals will get away. My question is “what the heck did they do before smartphones?” Actual police work? Follow the 4th amendment? I think it’s great that they will have to now do their jobs like they used to and that my privacy will be ensured…tough luck FBI…geez…
Whine, whine, whine, Reince Priebus
Well…I am just laughing so hard at RNC chair, Reince Priebus…crying and whining about Democrats trying to “suppress” repub votes…and what are the dems doing to suppress these votes? Voter ID? Closing polling places? Sending “poll watchers” to intimidate minority voters? Shortening voting times? Nope, those are all repub methods that have been used in every state they control to ensure that the poor and minorities don’t vote…so what is ole Reince whining about? A dem groups plan to tell the truth about repub candidates and what effect their policies have on people…even the repubs that support them. All this to try to get people to stop voting against their own interests in electing repubs that do nothing but lie while running and then reward their masters after elected. Only in the repub world is telling the truth “voter suppression”….go ahead Reince…keep whining…geez…
Mitch McConnell is still evil…
Well….after reading the reports on the only Senate debate in Kentucky, all I can say is that Mitch McConnell is still evil….after a doddering performance where he couldn’t articulate what he has done for the people of Kentucky, ole Mitch went back to that old attack where he is either lying or doesn’t understand how Obamacare works when he said that he will repeal Obamacare but he will let Kentucky’s sign up website, Kynect, stay. Wow, that’s big of you Mitch…you’ll throw over 500,000 Kentuckians off the insurance they have for the first time in their lives but you’ll let them keep a non functioning website that is worthless without the federal portion of the law. What a great guy! And it just shows you what the repubs have become…the party of can’t…can’t fix our crumbling infrastructure…can’t keep our citizens healthy….can’t do anything but give more and more to the rich….that, to me, is the definition of evil…and ole Mitch fits the description…geez..,.
Czar,czar, czar…
Well…if you watched any of the weekend news shows (I didn’t…just can’t make myself do that anymore)….you saw the predictable cast of repubs going on and on that Obama should appoint an “Ebola czar” to coordinate the response to the two cases in the US…never mind that just a couple of months ago the repubs were shouting about impeaching Obama for appointing just such people…they think it’s an impeachable offense now that he hasn’t….my head spins at the stupidity of the people like John McCain and the rest of the repubs when they have gotten just what they wanted…a smaller government that doesn’t have the capability to “interfere” with people’s lives…and doesn’t have the capability to save them either. But, the funniest or saddest part of this whole charade is that Obama has tried to appoint just this person that the repubs are calling for…he’s called the Surgeon General and the repubs in the senate have blocked his appointment since he thinks that guns do kill people at times….yep, that is what the repub party is today…stupidity and more stupidity…and all of us suffer for it…geez…
Ebola and the republicans…
Well…now that there have been a few cases of Ebola here in the US, the repubs are screaming their heads off the government should be doing more to combat it and it is all Obama’s fault, etc. etc…..but, the real problem has been revealed by the head of the NIH in an interview this week. The NIH has been working on a vaccine for years now, and for other treatments for people who have already contacted the disease but, since the repubs don’t think government can or should do anything, they cut the budget for the NIH and other health programs to give tax cuts to the rich and corporations, saying that the private sector is the better place for this kind of research to happen. But, what these idiots don’t understand is that the private sector won’t do anything that doesn’t make them huge profits…but, since Ebola is not a disease that will affect millions, and it mostly happens in poor African countries, there is no profit so there is no research. So, if there is a huge outbreak here in the US, go and thank a repub…their budget cuts have put the vaccine more than two years out and that means they are responsible for any deaths that happen…this is the real world face of repub austerity and tax cuts…what a bunch of asses…geez…
Snyder is just a liar…
Well…just saw an ad a few minutes ago that has our wonderful governor, Snyder, lying through his teeth through his surrogates about Medicare….you know the one that they tried in the last election? Where they conflate the cost savings in Medicare to taking the money away from seniors and using it to pay for Obamacare? I wondered how long it would take before they rolled out that lie that was debunked years ago…the 700 billion being a reduction of payment to health care providers and it has nothing to do with the care that seniors get…Medicare is exactly the same as it was but with waste cut out and growth in costs reduced….that’s it, that’s all you have to know about Snyder…he’s no different from any other lying repub….all I have to say to him is “why don’t you run on your record?” Oh, that’s right, his record is terrible so he can’t….so the lies and fear come out…geez…
The Kansas experiment ends…
Well…it has been said that the states are the laboratories of government where things are tried to see how they work…and there hasn’t been a state that has been more experimental than Kansas over the past 4 years where a repub takeover of the government has been the laboratory for all of the “ideas” that the repubs have for government and how it should work. You know what this means…slashing taxes, cutting spending, more abortion restrictions…yada, yada….and guess what? As every economist that didn’t graduate from Liberty University will tell you, these thing do not work to spur growth in the economy or job creation but they keep trying it anyway. We now see what these policies do on a large scale….a deficit of over 300 million dollars due to tax cuts for the rich and corporations…slashing of spending on education and public projects such as roads and bridges and a regression to last on every measure of economic growth. Not surprising, since this is an ideology driven government, not a fact based one and one thing the repubs do in all parts of life is do things on faith even though a century of economic history shows their ideas have never worked…ever. Now, it looks like the repubs are going to pay by losing the governorship, one senate seat and many seats in the house since the people have had enough of the excuses…Brownback, the governor, has even tried to blame his mess on Obama…standard protocol when these idiots screw up…can’t happen to a nicer bunch…geez…
