Well…it looks like people in red states are starting to get the idea that even though the repubs have gerrymandered the states so that they are in control even when getting less votes than dems, the people in some of them are striking back with citizen initiatives that puts popular laws in place that the repubs are blocking…as we did here in Michigan when we voted to put women’s rights into our constitution, the voters of Ohio just turned in double the number of signatures needed to get restoring women’s right on the ballot…at present, it only takes 50.1% of the vote to make these initiatives the law in Ohio, but of course the repubs want to take the people’s say away by changing the passing percentage to 60, making it much tougher for citizens to have their say…so, another citizen initiative is on the ballot for August 8 that would restore the people’s rights…but since this is a single issue election, the turnout will probably be too small to pass it….and that will doom the women’s rights initiative that will be voted on in November…typical repub bullshit…they can’t win with unpopular ideas so take away the rights of citizens to challenge them…man I hat repubs…geez…

Can we just ignore the supreme court?
Well…with the corrupt supreme court making rulings on nothing but thin air for their right wing politics, my question is: can we just ignore the supreme court? What are they going to do…they have no enforcement arm or police…are they going to stamp their little feet and hold their breath until they get their way? The AG of Arizona already stood up and said that they have their own anti discrimination laws on the books and she will usethemt to prosecute anyone who pulls that discrimination bullshit and followed up that any case that is based on lies is not legitimate….and that’s what this case was…and it was decided illegally when the SC justices knew it was a fake case and they took it anyway…this decision needs to be vacated and there needs to be consequences for the lawyers who perjured themselves during the trials since they knew it was fake, too…geez…
They’re at it again….
Well…we all know that every damn repub is a huge hypocrite and they are all at it again…with the announcement of some of the money from the infrastructure bill that the dems passed and Biden signed is going to go to extend broadband internet access to all of the country, here come the repubs taking credit for it back in their states…like the senator from Alabama, tommy tuberville who came out with a statement saying that it is a great thing and really needed for Alabama…and he said it with a straight face even though he knew he voted against the bill…then we have the idiot boebert railing about not getting a new bridge for her state when other places are getting bridges and roads…again, she voted against the infrastructure bill and spouts off against it damn near every day so I think it’s justice that her pet bridge is not funded…for all of these morons, their job is to scream and yell but they never even think of legislating for their constituents…maybe think next time morons…geez
Legislating from the bench…
Well…this supreme court has to go…it is so corrupt that the right wingers on it are legislating from the bench to get what their repub cronies can’t get through legislation since the ideas are so despised…just yesterday, the right wing 6 decided that it is perfectly fine for people to discriminate against the LGBTQ citizens of this country…and it was done with a fake case that is full of lies and perjury…essentially a woman in Colorado said that she wanted to start a business making websites for straight people but the law made her cater to anyone…but the thing is she never had that business and still doesn’t and it’s 7 years later…and the supposedly gay person that she said asked her to make the website never heard of her…and it turns out that she lied about that in court filings since the person is a straight married man who lives in San Francisco….but that didn’t matter to the right wing 6…they took the case anyway since it would allow them to make it legal to discriminate against the LGBTQ people and anyone else…black, latino, Muslims? Yep, it’s now legal for someone to shout christian and they can get away with any type of discrimination…how much more corrupt can the SC get when they are now not following any rules? I guess we’ll see…geez…
Can the SC be more racist?
Well..with the Supreme Court blowing up 40 years of precedent today by making affirmative action illegal in college admissions, my only question is “can they be any more racist?” I mean Clarence Thomas wouldn’t be on the court if there wasn’t AA back when he applied to college…he pulled the typical repub bullshit…he got his and now lets pull the ladder up so no one else an use it. The telling part of the decision is they left in place the ability of colleges and universities to use legacy as a factor for admissions…so family (white) is perfectly acceptable but trying to make the society more equitable and addressing the systemic racism built into it is not…this smacks of the decision the court made to gut the voting rights act saying that racism doesn’t exist anymore…maybe in their world, but in the real world it sure does and now quality minority candidates lose another avenue into the middle class….geez…

Well…not sure if you’ve read anything about this guy the repubs elected in South Dakota but damn, he is typical q anon moron…his name is Joe Donnell and he really thinks that Mt. Rushmore is a demonic portal that is spreading communism across the US and that it sits on a lay line that elves used to use to magically transport themselves between the mountain and DC…and he knows all of this because god told him personally…and the mountain was carved with magic and used to have different faces and a dwarf hideout under it that is coated with gold and gems on the floor and walls…you get the idea…a person who should be locked up for psychosis is actually a state rep in South Dakota who truly believes this stuff…and the the idiot trump is going to come back and something, something to fix the lay line that was broken by magic so they can get into the magic caverns under the mountain…I really do think that this country is in trouble if repub voters think a guy like this is perfectly qualified to make laws for one of our states…I wonder if the crazy has gotten worse or it was always there but just hidden…and the repubs don’t see the need to hide it anymore? Well…you know, this crap is getting ridiculous…it sure does appear that of the media owned by the oligarch class is doing it’s best to make sure Americans don’t see or hear of all of the successes of Joe Biden…what else could it be? Yesterday, at an event at the WH, President Biden announced a 42 billion dollar project to expand broadband access across the country and not one media company showed up to report on it…not one damn reporter, nothing…you would think that at least one person with WH press credentials would have stumbled over it by accident since there are hundreds of those people in and out of the WH every day…it sure stinks like a conspiracy to me…when idiot boy was in WH…his every burp and fart was covered by the fawning media…I guess when we have a president who is working for all Americans, the oligarchs don’t like it…and this is what we get…geez…
That coup was a bust…
Well…less than a day after it started, the coup in Russia ended with whimper instead of a bang…the leader of the Wagner mercenaries agreed to call it off and leave Russia for Belarus…and I guess what he got from Putin was a promise to not murder him…but if I were him, I’d stay away from high windows since lots of oligarchs and generals have fallen out of them over the past few years….I really do wonder what the whole thing was about? Was it just to show Putin’s weakness since Wagner got within 20km of Moscow before they stopped…and the Wagnerites shot down 5 helicopters, too, that Putin couldn’t afford to lose so why make a deal? I guess it’s just the inscrutable Russians that no one can figure out…I’ll follow up on this once someone gets the truth out there…
This is big…
Well…there have been news reports over the past day that a coup has started inside Russia…the criminal thug who owns the Wagner Group, a mercenary army of 25,000 soldiers, has pulled them out of Ukraine and is pointing them toward Moscow…they have already taken the 10th largest city in Russia, Rostov, without firing a shot and are only about 20km outside of Moscow right now…it appears that many of the Russian soldiers that Wagner sees are putting down their arms and joining up….and with the commitment of almost all of the regular Russian army in Ukraine, it appears that there aren’t any military left to protect Moscow…since last night, Putin has disappeared and all of the higher ups in the government have fled to St. Petersburg and then on to other countries like Turkey and every flight out of Moscow since yesterday has been sold out…so it looks bad for Putin…who knew that letting a criminal thug build his own private army would lead to him attacking everyone else? And now Wagner groups that have been in the middle east and Africa have started to go back to Russia to join the coup…this is going to get messy…geez…
A good sign…
Well…just a couple of days ago, something happened that I think shows the Jack Smith is running to get to the trial going in the documents case that he is bringing against the idiot boy…in a surprise move, he has turned over all of the evidence they have to the idiot trump’s lawyers in a process called discovery…but the surprise is how early in the process it has happened…and the pundits are saying that the next thing is getting a trial date set but with the trump judge running the show, the date of August 14th that she set is surely going to slip into 2024….just like the trial on the 31 tax fraud felonies in NYC…I can’t wait for the explosion to happen when the idiot has the testimony read to him and all of the people he thought were going to protect him threw him under bus….and I think Mark Meadows is going to be the biggest one….can’t wait for that…geez…
