Well…after the revelation of Russia’s ongoing cyber attacks on the US, have you heard a peep out of idiot boy on this subject? Nope, not a damn word….and I can guess why…trump doesn’t want to get Putin pissed so he can’t take asylum there when he is charged with the many crimes he has committed. Look, let’s call this what it is…it’s not a hack like the media is framing it…it is the new type of military attack on the battlefield where most battles are going to be fought from now and into the future….and it is from the Russian military that this attack is coming…and trump and the morons he put in charge of this country’s safety sit and do nothing…and to compound that (and I think to hide their incompetence) these idiots have told the experts in the Biden administration that there will be no more briefings at all until next year so that’s two weeks at least that Russia can do whatever it wants since trump won’t do anything other than bitch about “voter fraud” and golf….this is what happens when you have a *president who talks tough but is scared shitless of Putin, and who believes him more than our own IC….I guess idiot boy thinks this is just “fake news” and he has checked out anyway…refusing to take any intelligence briefings since he lost the election…maybe that is a good thing…he is so damn dumb he wouldn’t have anything to offer anyway…geez…

December 18th
Well….running really late today with both my phone and my tablet dead this morning and screwing around with them to try to get them to work…what are the chances that both of them would be dead when I got up? It appears that I have both of them working again but I wonder why the tablet didn’t just restart itself after the updates to the software overnight? Hmmmm….oh, well…slept okay last night but feel a little crappy after having a couple of cocktails….and I was good all week to give my liver a rest…my right shoulder and neck really hurt after sleeping wrong on them and I may have to take something for that this morning…just feel a little off today and I wonder if I have another cold….or if it’s just more allergies that are annoying the hell out of me….I did get a bunch of cleaning done yesterday so I don’t have much to do today but cook and I am going to try out a new recipe for chicken for lunch….I do like the rice I made the other day so I may make some more of that to go with it….need to get away from ham and all the salt that comes with it….I did get a bike ride in yesterday and this time my feet froze instead of my hands…my toes were numb all afternoon from it and I may have to buy some wind proof socks to help…but they are 25 bucks and I’m not sure if I can justify that much money even though I hit a milestone in my checking account Weds….more later….
McConnell doesn’t give a damn about Americans…
Well…if moscow mitch couldn’t get any worse, it was reported today that even though he didn’t care enough about Americans to work on a covid relief bill over the past 7 months, he now seems to be in a hurry to get something passed…and it is for the most cynical reasons you can imagine….the only reason he is doing anything is to give the two repub senate candidates in a runoff in Georgia a boost and to try to save his majority in the senate…not because people are going hungry, not because people are being evicted from their homes, not because people are dying across this country, not because small businesses are dying at a staggering rate…but just because he needs those two senate seats to keep his job as majority leader….and that is just sick. I can’t understand why the people who voted from him continue to do it…nothing he has done in his entire time in the senate has benifitted anyone but he and his family…okay, and the Russian oligargh that gave him 200 million dollars to build an aluminum plant in Kentucky…oh, and that oligarch was under sanctions for being a criminal but moscow mitch worked his ass off to get those sanctions lifted and I wonder what other rewards mitch got for lifting those sanctions? If anyone is in running for the worst person in the world along with the idiot trump, it is moscow mitch…the person who has done more damage to the US than any other person in it’s history…what a traitor….
December 17th
Well…up at 5:55 this morning but, with being good three nights in a row, I feel okay even with tossing and turning all night….and after shutting down the downstairs project, my allergies are better and I’m not coughing at all…we’ll see how long that will last…had a few new dreams last night, too, but I don’t really remember them at all…I just know I had them….and tonight will be 4 days in a row of being good…I am looking forward to tomorrow night when I can have a couple and get started on the new season of the Expanse that showed up yesterday…I did get my colon cancer test prepped this morning but I’m not sure if I want to know the results…but, they are sending me a 25 buck check just for doing it so I guess that’s some incentive and it’s better than doing another colonoscopy…will probably have to do another one next year but maybe that can wait after this test….I did get a bike ride in yesterday and froze my feet to the point that they hurt like crazy when I warmed them up in the shower and I can’t figure that out…it was warmer than the last time I went out and it was worse than that…strange…I do need to clean up this place some today since my brother is coming over to pick up some equipment this afternoon…and I’m running out of time to find a house and need to get that done in the next 3 weeks or I won’t be able to close and get moved on time…I guess I’d better start working on plan B and look for apartments, too…don’t want to do that…not much to do today…just clean and look for houses after I run out to the post office this morning…and try to get a bike ride in before 3….more later…

Well…we here in Michigan have a unique perspective on the DeVos family and in Betsy in particular…she is one of the people who tried to destroy the public school system here with bankrolling the fight for charter schools that siphon public dollars off to give to private schools for profit and have left our public schools scrambling for the money they need to educate our children. And the dirty little secret behind all of this theft of public money is to allow these charter schools to be defacto religious schools that are supported by tax dollars which should violate the constitution of both the US and Michigan…but, her money and the money of other right wing assholes have bought enough judges here that they have been able to get rulings that allow them to keep indoctrinating children into their right wing christian cult that gave us the idiot trump. Even now, as she is on the way out with idiot boy, she is trying to cement the awful changes she has made to the education department by exhorting the people there to “resist” the Biden administration and continue her right wing destruction of that department. One thing that she and all of the other rich assholes that trump has installed don’t get is that the career professionals hate them and the destruction they have done…and I’ll bet that this resistance will never materialize…they will just breathe a sigh of relief when a professional educator who really does have the best interests of the nation’s students at heart takes over….and the wicked witch goes back to her 20 million dollar, Cayman Islands registered yacht that she doesn’t pay any taxes on…good riddance…
December 16th
Well…running about on time this morning and I was good last night for the first time in quite a while so I feel pretty good this morning as compared to how I have been feeling…I even slept okay last night but woke up a lot all night and had dreams about voting and losing a hat that were pretty weird…took the day off the bike yesterday since I just couldn’t take being that cold again but I will be out at some time today to get to 5800 miles and I still do like riding even after so many miles….I basically took the day off yesterday other than a little cleaning and all I have to do today is the grocery run and I don’t have much on my list for today….want to get the freezer emptied out and I have enough in there to last me a couple of weeks….I am tired of ham so the chicken I’m getting today will be a welcome change…and a little roasted cauliflower with it will be good…and I made some brown rice yesterday to go with some veggie egg rolls and that was good so I’ll have some of that, too…not much to do today….I do need to find a house int he next two weeks but it appears the listing have slowed down some…I did laugh the other day when and unused high school in Nashville came up…24,000 square feet for only 99K…all brick building but you’d have to be an expert in boilers to heat it but it would be cool to have a full size gym for my own person use….more later….

I am…so let’s do another one…just yesterday, the worst AG int he country’s history announced that he is “resigning” effective on the 23rd of December to spend time with his family for the holidays. I’m sure this has nothing to do with the “heated” meeting this crook had with the idiot boy after he announced that there was no widespread vote fraud that the justice department could find that directly destroyed all of trump’s lies about the election. I think Barr is afraid of trump’s delusional followers since he wrote the most ass kissing resignation letter I have ever seen…praising trump’s “leadership” and all of his accomplishments…and all of the other bullshit that his synchophants always put in these letters…even though Barr’s damage is already done…at least he won’t be able to do more before January 20th…but the trump lover who takes his place could so we still need to watch out for that…good riddance asshole…

Well…it’s 9:21 am and I am already bored with this day….and it’s still only 21 degrees outside so even the prospect of getting a ride in today is far, far in the future…so, let’s talk a little politics…yesterday, the electors made it official and Joe and Kamala won the election…but the stupid repubs just won’t give it up…here in Michigan, they tried to send a bunch of “alternate electors” into the state capitol to vote for the idiot trump but they were stopped at the door since they had no legal standing other than in some delusional repubs head…I do like that Joe has started to call out idiot boy’s behavior for what it is…damaging to our country and democracy but I think he is naive if he thinks he is going to be able to work with the trump cult as he said in his speech….these people are too far gone down the rabbit hole and Joe needs to see the reality of it…that none of this is normal and normal methods aren’t going to do the job…he needs to have a plan in place for the alternatives when working with them fails…but, I’m sure that they have smart people working on that problem right now since Joe’s people are competent….not like idiot boy’s whose only skills are kissing trump’s butt….still haven’t seen trump’s tweetstorm for today but it must gall the hell out of him that Putin called Joe to congratulate him on his win and there will be comments coming…that should be rich…
December 15th
Well…not sure if I’m running late or not today with forcing myself to stay in bed after I got up at 5…I do know I fell pretty crappy today and part of it is cleaning up downstairs with all of the dust…my head is plugged up and I’m coughing again and that makes for a miserable morning….good thing I don’t have a lot to do today and it’s too cold to get out on the bike…and probably will be all day so I may just take a day off…I did get a package from my daughter yesterday and the socks and hat she knitted for me are pretty cool and fit great…have the socks on right now and it is nice to have a little color to wear instead of the all black that I normally wear…I just thawed some half and half that I froze a week or so ago so it would keep and it looks weird in my coffee so I may just toss it…might try to shake it up to get the milk fats to reincorporate better but it tastes okay so I think I can live with it…had to buy a pint of it since they were out of the small containers but I wonder if I can just use milk instead? Probably, but it isn’t as smooth and I think I can splurge a little on the calories….not sure what I’m going to cook today since I am out of leftovers…might do some pasta for a change of pace or look in the downstairs freezer to see what’s there…there is finally some room down there but I don’t want to fill it again until everything is gone…not much to do today….going to just take it slow and ease into the day with more coffee and news and not think for a while….more later….
Still freezing my butt off…
Well….I guess I’m not used to the cold yet…went out for a ride at 28 degrees this morning and I am still frozen from it…and I even added some poly long johns under my wind pants since I thought that would happen….it did help my feet a little but I still need to figure out how to keep them warmer…it was just damn unpleasant but the good thing was that I had the trail to myself with not seeing one other person in the entire 15 miles….and the problem with the garage opener light is not the bulbs since they didn’t light after I replaced them…but it’s too damn cold to take the cover off and see if I can fix it so I am going to wait until it gets a little warmer later in the week to work on that….I sure hope I warm up some soon….this is really pretty annoying….
