Well…it sure didn’t cool off much last night and it’s still 77 at 6:39 this morning…so, it’s going to be a hot one today with getting to almost 90 and high humidity so the fan will be on all day today…slept okay last night but feel a little sore and worn out from doing 30 miles yesterday and I think it will take a week or so before I’m used to it again…will be heading out here as soon as it gets light but I do need to remember to WD the bike before I go out….I do need to work on the yard a bit today to get the big bags ready to put out tomorrow…have branches that have fallen that need to be cut up and bagged and I am going to cut the trash bushes down a bit along with pulling the rest of the stuff from the garden and take out the rest of the flowers at the back of the house…it is supposed to rain all day tomorrow but I’ll believe it when I see it…it’s only rained once since the surgery and that was six weeks ago…but then it barely rained while the storms popped to the SE of me…not much to do today…I wonder if I should do the grocery run or wait til tomorrow? I do want to use the food processor to make some salsa before the tomatoes spoil and I have healed the sore in my mouth enough to be able to eat again….but it it’s going to rain tomorrow it may be the day to do all that….more later…

Well…I did get two rides in this morning before 11 and it did feel good…even got a couple of sprints in and probably pushed a little too much but we’ll see later…don’t have any abdominal pain at all but my right hip and shoulder both hurt so it will be a volataren day today….need to try to find a topic for one in politics today and I think I have it but I still need to think a bit….be back later…

Well…damn, getting started this morning has been a chore…woke up at 5:04 but knew I wasn’t going to get out of bed so I rolled over and got back to sleep until a little after 6:30….must have slept wrong on my neck since it hurts again and I can barely move it right now…might have to put some voltaren on it before I get on the bike…had an okay day yesterday but the assholes were back at partying and I had to make a call…we’ll see about today….going to get out on the bike as soon as I can since it’s already 69 degrees out there with no wind but I am still a little unsure if it’s going to be a two ride day today…my legs don’t hurt from the 12 miles yesterday so I could do two today but it does feel weird sitting on the bike…no pain but I know something is different….darn…it’s 7:30 and I’m still sitting here and I already miss not having to ride and having the day open to whatever I want…crap, have to get a new normal going so I can get back into shape…it’s two weeks to the day until I leave for the UK and I need to get in to my dentist so they can look at the sore in my mouth that hurts like crazy….not much to do today…just need to get the rides in before the live drag races start from Indy…was going to make salsa today but I don’t have a green pepper to put in it…or any tomato sauce…or any tortilla chips…do I go to Meijers today? Sure don’t want to but I might….more later…

Well…I know it’s 2 days early but I got a bike ride in today…went really easy and only did 12 miles so I don’t hurt at all…at least right now but I am anticipating that my legs will hurt tomorrow…it does feel different sitting on the bike but I guess that’s how it should be since I only have empty space where an organ used to be…the bike worked perfect both on the up and downshifts but I may have put too much air in the tires sine the ride was a little jarring…they are finally taking the railroad tracks that went out to the paper plant out and it’s making a mess along the trail so now I have to detour from the detour and ride up past Cole’s bakery and then back down towards the marina to pick the trail back up again and that is a pain…oh, well…

Well…it’s almost 7:30 so that means I’m running really late today and I’m not sure why….just so darn worn out this morning and I may have to make this a rest day…but the bike is sitting in the garage and it’s almost 6 weeks since the surgery and I think I should get out on it…it is going to be hot the next few days and I really hope it’s the end of the heat for the year…I do remember swimming in October a few years back when it was in the 80′s and the water was warm….the last two times I was at the beach the water was cold enough that it was just a dip and not a swim and that sucked….I did cook yesterday and made up a chicken dish that I just thought of as I was cooking and that was pretty cool…I should make some tomato sauce to use up the rest of the tomatoes but I don’t have any motivation right now…just want to watch races and soccer and have more coffee so I think that’s what I’ll do….MotoGP is on in a half hour and then the F1 race from Monza followed by Man U at 11:30…more later….

Well…with all of the damn tomatoes I have left over from the garden, I had to try to find a way to use them in dishes and I did that with all of the cherry tomatoes and some boneless chicken thighs along with onion and the one green pepper I had left and three cloves of garlic…then I cut up the last 4 potatoes I had left and put them in with some veggie broth for added flavor and some brown sugar to get rid of the bitterness…and it worked…it came out pretty good and I just simmered it until the potatoes were done then added some flour to thicken the sauce…so I have food for the next 3 days that I will have to augment with some breaded chicken like I did today…still under a thousand calories for the day so I guess I don’t have to feel guilty….

Well…running about on time today with getting up around 6 and having to put long pants on since it is a little cold this morning…I think I slept okay and I’m not as depressed as I was yesterday so I’ll take it…I did get good news from my daughter when she told me she got tickets for us to see Man U play Crystal Palace when we are in Manchester and I am pretty geeked about that…the trip is getting close and I really have to get off my butt and get packed…I do need to use some tomatoes today and I think I’ll make some chicken thighs with them…probably should get them out of the freezer right now…and look to see what else is in there….only had one meal yesterday and that worked out okay but I am hungry right now so I may make some toast here in a minute….had to make a call on the idiot renters yesterday and the cops came to shut them down and I hope that continues today…how do people become such assholes? I mean with no respect for anyone…all I know is I’ll be making a call if they start up again today…not much to do today…just going to drink more coffee and watch F1 practice before I switch over to soccer and see how the day unfolds….more later…
