Well…running late for a weekday and part of it is because I went out to Kos first today…Cheers and Jeers gets going early and I wanted to get my post in about fridge magnets…sitting here trying to figure out if I feel any better this morning…still sweating so maybe not…slept okay last night but up and down all night just doesn’t work that well…didn’t get a lot done yesterday since I was really fighting the bug but I was good last night so I’m hoping that will help today…I did get a little plastic piece fixed on the car yesterday that has been bugging me but to have that be the only accomplishment is pretty bad….I am going to try to do more today but we’ll so how I feel after I work out…not much to do today…oh, I did get the driver’s side floor mat cleaned in the car, too, to get rid of the salt and the laundry soap I used left a nice little scent in the car….okay, need to finish the coffee and get to the workout…more later…
The Kochs truly are evil…
Well…feel like crap again today but I do need to do another one of these to try to stay close to the goal for the month…I find it heartening that Harry Reid has started to shine a light on the nefarious actions of the Kochs…even going so far as to use them as the poster boys for most of the evil that is being done to the middle class here in the US…and you can see this evil in all of the repubs that want SS gone, who want to cut off unemployment benefits, that want to do away with environmental regulations, who want to cut taxes on the rich and corporations, and who want to kill unions…all things that the Kochs have been pushing with the 400 million dollars they spent in the last election cycle…just like cockroaches, I hope these evil people will scurry away once they find that the country is on to them and their ilk like the Waltons, and Adelsons….we need to just keep hammering on them for the evil they do and make people understand that these billionaires never feel like they taken enough from you and me…they always want more….geez…
March 10th
Well…it was another day of feeling like crap yesterday and it looks like the bug is still with me today…having temperature whiplash today with freezing one minute and sweating buckets the next….at least the coughing has stopped….needless to say, I didn’t do much yesterday and today will be the same…I do have to wash the salt out of the drivers floor mat from the Miata today…it just doesn’t look right that a black mat is now white from salt…but, that will be almost all I am going to do…just feel too crappy to do much but hit the couch and shiver……so, that is what I’m going to do…I’ll be back to add to this one when I feel better….

Well…have been reading this week about how much money the Kochs spent in the last election cycle and it just makes me sick…412 million dollars…yep, you heard it right 412 million dollars from just two guys trying to buy themselves a democracy…and anyone that calls him/herself a tea partier, has had their seat in the congress bought by these two idiots…and, the one thing I want you to remember is that they are not just giving this money away out of the goodness of their hearts…they want something for it…they want what they have been given in Wisconsin for example…where their toady Walker and the rest of the repubs there have gutted the rights of the people to organize…they have been given right to work here in Michigan since the Kochs hate workers and unions….you get my drift…that just two brothers could do so much to damage the middle class and environment has one cause and one cause only…the supreme courts Citizens United decision that made unlimited money the new norm in elections…and made people like the Kochs just a little bit more equal than the rest of us….my question to the court is…”you couldn’t see this?” everyone else did and now our democracy is at risk because of the activist repubs on the Roberts court…what a bunch of crap…geez…

Well…not sure if I’m running late today since DST kicked in and the clock says 9:22 but I know it’s only 8:22…so, I guess I’m actually early…felt like crap all day yesterday and the bug is still with me today so it looks like another down day with no goals at all…slept okay last night but I thought I’d slept in when my phone reset automatically…so, I was actually up at 5:30…damn…I hate these days …I’m going to be doing the time conversion all day today….not much to do today…going to just veg and hit the couch…and I mean right now…more coffee and a pillow….

Well…have been feeling like crap all day today and I know it’s from a bug this time and not something I’ve done to myself…and, I wanted to get to a short one here to try to not get too far behind this month so I won’t be tempted to do placeholders and other nonsense to get the number for the month…one of the things that I find so simple to understand about modern elections is something that Markos has said over at Kos and it is something that needs to be repeated often….”if we vote, we win…”…with the fact that we progressives far outnumber the righties almost everywhere across this country, and the changing demographics that show that the fastest growing groups will vote progressive (or dem) if you want to say it that way, the only thing we need to to to take this country back from the rich and the idiots on the right is to vote….and to vote every time, in every election from dogcatcher to president…from school boards, to municipalities…we just need to vote to restore sanity to our country…to restore equality and opportunity to our economy and to keep the rich from buying the government…just vote, it’s that simple…geez…
March 8th
Well…it was an okay day yesterday and I finally won at pool after losing for 7 weeks in a row..and I figured out that it was only the second win this year and that is just pathetic…but, I did get to put the top down out and back so that was cool…and, I got a little sunburned from the trip….so, I have my March top down in so now I can relax…other than that, didn’t do much…I think I still have a bug since I was coughing all night last night and feel warm…but, it’s been weeks so what bug does that? Not much to do today…watching soccer right now since they still haven’t shut off the channel that I didn’t get before….so, I think I’ll go back to the couch and watch the second half….more later….

Well…reading about the insane clown posse that is the yearly meeting of conservatives in DC and I have been laughing my head off with some of the ‘facts” that have been tossed around by these idiots…especially by ole Rick Perry and Calgary Cruz….first, ole Rick did a speech today saying that the red states were leading the way in economic growth because of the lack of taxes and regulation…and, if you mean leading the way to the bottom half of all states you would be right…if you look at facts…you know, those things the right doesn’t believe in…you’ll see that every state run by repubs is in the bottom 50% of economic growth with his state one of the worst…and then we have ole Cruz saying by video that we don’t have a president anymore but a dictator since he picks and chooses what laws he is going to enforce and he does things that the congress hasn’t given him permission to do…how wrong is this? As wrong as you can get…first, go back to ole GW and see how many laws he decided to not enforce…can you say torture? And, second, this idiot doesn’t even know how the government works…the executive branch does not have to be given permission by congress to carry out executive branch authority…what the hell is wrong with these ignorant idiots? geez…
March 7th
Well…it was a long, long day yesterday with going out for a few with G in the aft and then back here for cocktails to watch the Wings retire Nick’s number…so, I am going to take it really slow today as I recover…slept okay last night and I have found that I like using the earplugs even without the noise from the furnace upstairs…just sleep better so I think I’ll keep that up…I did get the car washed yesterday but it looks like I’ll have to keep washing it for a few weeks just to get the salt off it and get ready to put the summer tires back on it…but, that will be a couple of weeks since next week is back in the 20’s again…not much to do today…I am going to take it easy until I find out if we are doing pool and I do need to eat more since I only had a burger yesterday for the whole day….more later…

Well…with all of the pundits going with the conventional wisdom that Hillary is going to be the nominee for 2016 from the left, a small bombshell was dropped yesterday when one of my favorite senators, Bernie Sanders, said that he is thinking of running for president and I almost jumped out of my chair and cheered…if you don’t know Bernie, he is registered an independent but caucuses with the dems, but is the old throwback type of politician who is honest, and does not care who he pisses off be it the right, wall street, or even the cowardly dems who won’t stand up for the people who elected them…the biggest champion of the middle class going, along with Elizabeth Warren and someone who I could easily vote for and support…this man calls out the idiots and the afraid in congress to try to forge a new day for the middle class and is not afraid of taking on the money in this country…now, we just need to get Liz to run with him and we on the left would have our dream ticket….run, Bernie, run….
