Well…have been reading a bunch today and this thought came to me given the way that ole Mitt is acting in this last week of election season: “shouldn’t being delusional disqualify any candidate for the presidency?” After all, you have ole Mitt out on his “Victory Tour” over the weekend and to hear people within his campaign, Mitt truly believes that he is going to win in a landslide…never mind that all of the swing state polls have Obama ahead and the trend is moving toward him…and you have ole Mitt blaming the dysfunction in the congress on Obama as well…conveniently forgetting that it was his party that made it their life’s work to make sure Obama was not successful…and conveniently forgetting that in Mass he vetoed over 800 bills that were put up by the dem controlled legislature and they were all overridden…so this just goes to the ultimate delusion that ole Mitt has…that he has been successful in anything other than destroying peoples lives…getting set up in business by daddies friends is not a success…lying, lying, and lying is not a success…and losing this election is not a success…okay, it is to me when he loses…
November 3rd
Well…up really early again and I feel like crap again…think I may have a bug, again, since I am coughing like crazy and my head is plugged up…glad I got the radiator in yesterday but that may have made the bug worse..and using a bunch of new muscles to work on the car has added to the normal pain…bruises up a down my arms from forcing them into shapes that they are not supposed to make is not fun either…let’s top that off with not sleeping well…but there was good news yesterday with K having her baby and she looks just like her…with red hair and all…okay…I’m about done for now…going to take it easy today and watch football..but first, Man U is playing at 8:30 so I need to get out to Meijers before then…
Let’s talk jobs…
Well…have the car torn down and I’m waiting for the new radiator to arrive (it’s on a truck somewhere here in GR) so I thought I’d do a short one on the subject of jobs that the repubs think is going to be a winning issue for them…and again, these numbers point to the boiling pot of hypocrisy that is the modern repub party. Today, Think Progress came out with a neat little comparison of the jobs added to this point in both ole GW’s first term and those added under Obama…and it is not a pretty picture for GW…at this time in his first term, there were almost 1.2 million jobs lost…yep, that’s right, lost…while in Obama’s first term there has been a net gain of almost 800,000 jobs….a 2 million job difference that is all the more amazing considering that there were 2 million jobs lost in the first month of Obama’s term. So, the next time you hear that the repubs are “job creators”, remember these numbers and shake your head…just more of the lies, lies, lies that ooze from the modern repubs…geez…
November 2nd
Well…yeah, I know, I didn’t come back for another one yesterday so that means three for today and I will try to do that…but the sense of urgency is not there the first of the month…I did have a day yesterday with going out later in the day to shoot pool..I did have the top down out and back but it was cold coming home so that will be one of the last times I’ll do that…I am trying to have the top down at least once in every month of the year so November is covered…but, right now, I am having coffee and reading the papers so I’m going back to it…I promise I’ll be back later for more…
November 1st
Well…it was a kind of nice day yesterday with having lunch with T but, with the rain, it was the second day off the bike and I am starting to miss it…I’ve been good for 4 days now and I am starting to feel okay…even slept okay last night but still up at 5:30 and with no dreams I think I was bored sleeping if that is possible….well…that’s how it feels anyway, like an extension of being bored during the day…I do need to go out and track where my radiator is to see if I need to hang out around here today and wait for it…and I will come back for another today..but, right now I think I’ll veg for a bit…
This is how it’s supposed to be…
Well…I am amazed by the air time and analysis that has been given to the remarks made by Chris Christie praising the President’s actions in dealing with the aftermath of Sandy….I think it’s a sign of the dysfunction of our society and the republican party that Christie will probably pay a political price from his own party for the comments…why can’t anyone be honest? Why can’t anything happen in this country without it being viewed through the lens of politics? I know there are questions of politics that need to be answered, but I applaud Christie for shutting down Fox news when they tried to interject politics when our fellow citizens are suffering…and I applaud Obama for just being president and doing his job…maybe we can learn something from this…that repubs and dems can work together if the repubs can stop the pettiness that has paralyzed the country for the past two years…okay, I know…not going to happen but I am still the optimist….
October 31st
Well…it’s been an early morning with getting up around 5 and the crappy sleep again is starting to wear a little but I knew this was going to be a consequence of taking it easy on myself….and even with the little sleep, I still feel better than I did….so, I’ll keep it up for the rest of the week and see where it goes…have been laying low waiting for the new radiator to come and it is funny that I was feeling trapped with being broke last week but I haven’t spent any money this week even with having some…I do need to try to get out of here and do some new stuff and meet some new people…it is getting a little boring being by myself all the time…I may have lunch with T today so that will be fun if it happens…and then I do need to continue the cleaning and writing…I have met the goal for the month with this one but I want to do a couple more today…

Well…I am so sick of the crap coming out of ole Mitt’s campaign…I have never ever heard of a politician or even a private citizen that has less core than ole Mitt…who lies and lies and lies…in a better world, people would laugh at this idiot and send him back to his house with the car elevator and Bain where he can only hurt the companies that Bain owns, not the entire country…and this latest, where Mitt is on tape saying he would get rid of FEMA and being quite adamant about it in the primaries…but, today, he turns into reverso Mitt and says that he wouldn’t eliminate FEMA…what is it Mitt? FEMA or no FEMA? How did this guy get to where he is…I guess this is just another example of money trumping competence or even honesty. Then, we have the shenanigans in Wisconsin, where the Romney campaign is training thousands of “poll watchers” to go into the poll and mislead people to suppress the vote, slow down the vote so people will go home when they see the long lines that will result. Is there any greater threat to our democracy than the modern Republican party? I’ve never seen this kind of gaming of an election…and if ole Mitt wins…I will never recognize it as legitimate…this amoral idiot is damaging our country to it’s core just to win…again, no principles other than winning…it makes me sick…geez…
October 30th
Well…another no cocktail night and I feel okay this morning…I think skipping the week is going to be good and I even slept okay…only about 5 hours but I guess I’ll take what I can get….I am at this one early today so that is one good thing…I did get the radiator ordered for the car and I really do hope that is where the coolant is going…but, getting it diagnosed would have cost me the same as the new radiator and the old one is pretty gunked up so it will be a benefit no matter what…it should be here Friday so I may even have it fixed by the weekend…the big storm Sandy has arrived here with lots of wind and rain so it looks like no bike ride today…still worried about my son who lives in NYC…talked to him yesterday in the aft and the wind had already gotten to about 40 with gusts of 60…waiting for an update that I hope comes today…not much to do today…it looks like a hibernation day after I go out and get the papers…so, that means I will come back least for at least one more…
Yeah, let’s abolish FEMA…
Well…events of this week just point out the stupidity of the repubs arguments that the federal government is too big and needs to be shrunk by over 30%…and this culminated in ole Mitt’s pledge to eliminate FEMA in a speech this past week…now, I’m not an advocate of government doing everything, but there are some things that the federal government is uniquely suited to do…and this is one of them, coordinating disaster response across the many states that are going to be affected by hurricane Sandy and making sure that the people in the affected areas are safe. In this time of cash-strapped state governments, ole Mitt’s ideas of letting the states go it alone in a natural disaster is unconscionable…that spreading of the risk and the costs of recovery is exactly what a nation should do…but in ole Mitt’s jaundiced eye it is every man for himself…what’s next? Make the cities and towns that are affected go it alone, too? That brings me to the nonsense that both Ryan and Eric Cantor pushed during the tornadoes that devastated Joplin…that is that there will be no disaster relief until there are budget cuts to pay for them…tell that to the 50 million people that are going to targeted by this storm…what a bunch of uncaring, ideology driven idiots….geez…
Okay…I was a little mistaken about the timing of ole Mitt’s comments…they were from 2011…so far back that they surely can’t be his views now…that was a little sarcasm…but the one nugget that I missed was his idea to move disaster relief to the “private sector”…so now he advocates letting his rich buddies make profit from the misery of his fellow citizens? So, I wonder what the price is of a rescue from a terrible storm? Your house? Your car? Your life savings? I just can’t believe this election is even close…wake up, folks…
