Well…Just a short one on the whole “47% of the people don’t pay taxes” flap that came from the callous comment that Romney made…it made me think of another comment that ole Mitt made a few months back when he was pressed on the fact that he only pays 14% in income taxes and his response was that he was paying everything that the tax code requires and not a penny more. The sad thing is that he then makes the 47% comment when those people that don’t pay federal income taxes are doing exactly the same thing…they are following the tax code that allows them to not pay these federal taxes. So, what is perfectly okay for a rich guy like ole Mitt is wrong when the middle or lower class does it? Just another example where Mitt is amoral. saying anything to appeal to whoever he is talking to with no consistency or core…geez…

Well…it was just a wasted day yesterday and I don’t really feel much better today…not quite as tired as yesterday so maybe I’m getting over the bug….not sure though, since my head still feels like it is full of concrete….I did try to eat more yesterday and I am going to do the same today to see if that has some effect….I do need to hit the grocery store and use up the rest of the cash on hand since I do want a cocktail for the debate tonight…so, I think I’ll get moving and get that done..more later…
It’s been a long day…
Well…it has been a long day and I am starting to realize that buying the newspapers in the morning is a good investment…at least for the purpose of writing these things….I am looking forward to the debates tomorrow and if Obama can’t dismantle Romney easily, he shouldn’t be re-elected…after all, ole Mitt is just a stiff that has changed his stances on everything that is important and he really does hate almost half the country because they aren’t rich….even I could beat that stiff…and I wouldn’t have to prepare at all…and I can’t wait to hear the “zingers” that ole Mitt has been rehearsing for 6 weeks…my response would be to him “is that one of the famous zingers you have been practicing?”…and then hit him early and often on his dismissal of the 47%, his voodoo tax plan, and Medicare, Medicare, Medicare….then I’d mention the new studies that are out that show that the trashing of the economy by the repubs is the real reason why the economy is not recovering as fast as it could…and I would take credit for Obamacare…what do the repbus have in response to that…give more money to the insurance companies that buy their votes? As I said, it’s been a long day and I am so frickin tired that I can’t stand it…

Well..feel like crap today so this one is going to be short…this is the worst the allergies have ever been and I am really thinking of skipping working out and the bike ride today…..just want to go back to the couch and rest for a while….so that is what I’m going to do right now…I’ll be back later for more…
Okay, I’m back and it is later…I did get the bike ride in and worked out so I do feel a lot better…I think I haven’t been eating enough for the past few days, too and that contributed to me feeling so terrible this morning…the bike did crack the seat tube again but I am using JB weld to try to keep it from breaking off completely and we’ll see tomorrow if that worked….I am going to take a short break and come back for a political one but I skipped the papers today so I have to go and read them online…more later…
Mitt again…still crazier…
Well…it’s starting to look like ole Mitt is one of those guys that never met an idea that he didn’t like…and the craziest one of the last week is his endorsement of a campaign mailer for northern Virgina that pledges his support to eradicate “chronic Lyme disease” that the flyer says is an epidemic there. Never mind that the epidemic is a thousand cases of Lyme disease in a population of three million people…the best part is that chronic Lyme disease does not exist according to the AMA….the only person that is pushing this diagnosis is a big donor to Romney and a doctor that had his license suspended for endangering patients with the unnecessary, huge doses of antibiotic that he says is the only treatment. So now Mitt is taking medical advice for his campaign from a donor that has no medical training? It is endemic of the modern repubs that they don’t believe science…unless faking it can be used to make a political point….what a bunch of crap…geez…
October 1st
Well…another month is gone and another night of no sleep is not the way to start a new one…no cocktails last night but I feel like I had a day long bender…it must be the bug that I’ve had for the last week or so…or the fact that we are one of the highest pollen cities right now and that might be triggering the allergies…I’m not sure but I do know that I am miserable today and it is going to be a real chore to get ready to go out for coffee…but I need to since I haven’t done much in the last couple of weeks…on the other hand, I’m broke and should save the 5 bucks that it costs to go out in the morning…but, how much do I have to continue to sacrifice? My life is already so small that it feels claustrophobic in here…oh, well.,..more later…
Republican voter fraud…
Well…if it wasn’t such a serious subject, I’d be laughing my butt off about the latest news of repub voter fraud…this time, a company the repubs hired to do voter registration in Florida was found to be submitting fake forms and just making people up…now, this is bad enough but what are going to do with the fakes they have submitted? Is the next shoe that is going to drop that they have hired fake folks to use these registrations to fraudulently vote? I find this whole voter fraud thing to be the worst sort of projection by the repubs…they can’t find any real fraud so they are creating it so they can point to it and say aha? Then we have a Florida house member that has tried to pull the same crap that Bolger and Schmidt tried here in Michigan…running fake candidates as dems but the guy in Florida even went so far to run the fake dems campaign and then promise him a job in his office when he loses. I wonder if this is part of the play book that the repubs have gotten from ALEC? These guys know that in a fair election they are going to lose so they are lying and cheating again…or I should say still…geez…
September 30th
Well…running late again today and it is an easy explanation this time…just decided to read the paper and have my coffee first..and I did so now I’m here for a while…it was just another day yesterday and really didn’t do much except watch sports…trying to not spend any money since I don’t have any right now…I did hear back from the guy in Greenville that has the winter tires and I am going up there today to pick them up…looks like I’ll have to put two of them on the top with it down to get them back here but that should be okay…I am going to bag them in garbage bags so they don’t get everything dirty…. and who can pass up free stuff…oh, I said that yesterday didn’t I? I am glad I’ve got navigation on the phone…going to see how well it works today…and I have maps, too so it should be okay…so, that’s what I’m doing today…I will try to get back later for more since I’m short for the month…
September 29th
Well…running late as always…have been watching the Chelsea/Arsenal match and with shooting pool and having cocktails last night, I am really worn out today and am taking it easy until the temp comes up enough to ride the bike…slept okay but up early again and that doesn’t help…but, as I said before, not going to bitch about that anymore. I may have to make a run to Greenville later today to pick up a set of snow tires for the car that one of the guys on the Miata board is giving away…I’ll take free stuff any time…more later…
Harvesting companies…
Well….another day, another video showing the true side of ole Mitt….the latest has to do with his initial pitch to investors in Bain that blows apart his whole “I’m a job creator” meme that he has been pushing. I find this one almost as bad as the 47% video from a couple of weeks ago and in it, ole Mitt describes the methods that Bain will use to make money for these investors that include buying, managing, and then “harvesting” the companies….Mittspeak for trashing them to make huge profits and then walking away from the wreckage with millions of dollars in his pocket. This goes on to this day with Bain buying another company that is profitable (I can’t find the name of it) and has told all of the workers the company is to be moved to China with Mitt still making almost a million dollars from throwing almost 300 people out of work. Is this the kind of president this country needs? Nope, nope, nope…geez…
