Well…have been looking for a topic all morning and I’m not sure what it is but my brain just isn’t working today…and nothing interests me right now so I wonder what to do? There was an interesting development yesterday when it was reported that the chairs of both the House and Senate Judiciary committee sent a letter to chief justice John Roberts asking him where they are on investigating the leaks that happened with the Hobby Lobby and Dobbs decision and it was reported the other day that it was Alito who leaked both of them to shore up conservative support for overturning Roe….the chairs essentially said to Roberts if he can’t or won’t do that investigation, then it will be done by congress…you know, it has been on my mind lately that everything the repubs touch is ruined…and now they have don it to the SC…and something needs to be done to enforce ethics rules on the repub hacks on the court…it would be a perfect time for both houses to pass SC reform that would put a check on the hacks on the court…and make it easier to remove justices that lied to the senate in their confirmation hearings…as all of the conservative justices did….geez…

All of the evidence…
Well…just read an article out on Kos that revealed that the January 6th committee is going to release “all of the evidence” and a report with conclusions on who broke what laws especially ones the idiot trump did…and it will add fuel to the DOJ’s investigation that is now being led by the special counsel…and they are doing this since the January 6th committee ends with the end of the current congress unless the repubs reauthorize it…yeah, that made me laugh, too…now, this is going to be a good read for me when the report comes out…I hope they have it on the internet in searchable form to make it easier to use it for a few of these…and I really hope it puts the final nails in idiot boy’s coffin and makes him go away so we don’t ever have to hear that stupid voice ever again….and I’ll hope for a bonus of jail time for him, too…still don’t know why he hasn’t been indicted yet…it needs to happen now…geez..
trump is in trouble…
Well…yeah, I know I’ve been saying this for a long time now but maybe, just maybe, this time is going to be different. Just yesterday, Merrick Garland appointed a special counsel to take over the investigations into trump, both the insurrection on January 6th and the theft of government documents that were seized from his crappy golf club in Florida…I think this is a pretty smart move by Garland since a special counsel can’t be removed by the new repub house and it’s investigation goes on until it there is either an indictment or the counsel stops the investigation. The long time federal prosecutor, Jack Smith, who Garland appointed is a badass, too…doing war crime investigations at the International Criminal Court and prosecuting those crimes…along with multiple high visibility posts in the federal government…and the reason I think trump is in trouble this time is that they wouldn’t appoint a special counsel if they were winding the investigations down without indictments. So now my fingers will be blue from crossing them so much…hoping the criminal trump will finally be held responsible for his multiple felonies…and this isn’t going to drag on for years…I hope…geez…

Well…have been having a hell of a time coming up with a topic today but one just popped up over on Kos that I think I’ll talk a little about….a group of former prosecutors including Andrew Weissman, Joyce Vance, and Norm Eisen, among others is putting together a model prosecution memorandum dealing with the crimes the idiot trump committed when he stole the thousands of government documents that were found at his tacky golf course in Florida…and it will state the case for indicting trump for 6 felonies and that is based only on public information and these lawyers think they have a case even without the grand jury information that is being kept secret by the DOJ…l really do hope they get this done pretty soon since it is going to be fun to read and I’ll bet it drives idiot boy crazy…it will also put pressure Merrick Garland to bring charges against the idiot since he knows all of the evidence and it has to be much, much more incriminating that what is in public….so, get at it guys, I can’t wait….geez…
Changing of the guard…
Well…the news was just announced that both Nancy Pelosi and Steny Hoyer, the speaker and majority leader of the house dems are not going to run for leadership positions in the new repub majority house….so we will see a complete changing of the guard for the first time in over 20 years and I am curious about who will be stepping up to lead the dems…I think it’s about time for the younger generation of more progressive dems to take over but I still think Nancy especially was just what the dems needed and was responsible for lots of good bills being passed including the ACA…and she has another month to go and it will be interesting to see if she can get one last thing done like abortion rights…she has already gotten protection of same sex marriages through and Biden will sign that in the next week or so, and I think she should try to go out with a bang…but, for now, all I have to say is thank you, Nancy…one of the best speakers in history….
Can’t we get rid of the idiot?
Well..when the idiot trump announced he’s running for president again, the immediate thought came to me “can’t we get rid of the idiot?” I had enough of him the first time I heard him talk…and all he did in his speech was re-hash all of the bullshit he has been spewing for years…and a funny little fact was that as people tried to leave in the middle of that boring piece of bullshit, idiot boy’s staff wouldn’t let them…they barricaded the doors to make sure the idiot’s fee fees wouldn’t be hurt by people who had enough of his bloviating….the one thing we all have to remember is that this is still all a grift…he got a billion dollars from the rubes for his last campaign that he just kept…no helping other candidates like he lied he would and the flood of fundraising e-mails started up again and the rubes are still giving him money…what the hell is wrong with those people? They must really like being lied to and taken advantage of…after all, he didn’t keep one promise that he made to them and just stole all their money…or are they all just plain stupid? I vote for the last one after hearing these morons speak on tv…don’t have 2 brain cells to rub together between them….geez…
Russian missiles just hit Poland…
Well…how about something a little different? Haven’t talked about the stupid Russian invasion of Ukraine lately, but what happened today needs a little comment….in a huge barrage of terror, the Russians launched almost a hundred missiles into western Ukraine today trying to hit infrastructure and civilians as terrorists do but there was a little problem with the attack when 2 of their missiles went off course and landed on a farm in Poland, killing two people and wrecking some farm equipment. Now, since Poland is a NATO country, they could invoke Article 5 that requires other NATO countries to defend them…but, they probably won’t in this case, opting for an apology from putin and reparations for the damage done and the people killed…after all, Poland has a bigger, better equipped army than Russia does…and just think of that…Russia is supposedly a superpower and little Poland can kick their butts anytime they want…what do you think the rest of the countries that Russia has under their thumb are going to think about that? Even China seems to be abandoning putin and Russian media is talking about a people’s revolt against the government….I’ve never seen one person so miscalculate a military campaign so that it backfires and ruins his attacking country…it will be delicious to see ole putin groveling to the Polish government….and to see who is going to fall out of window next to pay for this mistake…should find out later today….
We kept the senate…
Well..in a bit of good news, it was announced this morning that we have kept control of the senate and there is a possibility of even keeping the house if everything breaks our way…and these events punctured the doom and gloom that I felt when there were real prospects of losing them both…and going along with the dems taking over all of the power here in Michigan, maybe, just maybe I can get over the depression that came with the election…and I am excited that we can still accomplish a few things in the senate like getting more real judges appointed…not the hacks that the repubs always seem to nominate….and if we do hold the house, we need to take on the supreme court and do a real background investigation of Kavanaugh since thousands of tips on his criminal behavior were ignored by the FBI under the idiot trump and we still need to learn who paid off his quarter of a million dollar debts and paid off his house for him….sure sounds like a bribe to me…and then we need to expand the court and appoint real judges to the new seats, not the political hacks like alito who quote witch burners as reason for them taking rights away from women in this country…so, I guess I may even smile a bit today…not too much, but a little…
Ha, ha….the repubs here in Michigan are nuts…
Well…after the repubs lost everything here in Michigan when they couldn’t cheat, it is a little bit of fun listening to them pointing fingers at everyone but themselves…and they now have even started attacking the repubs who were at the top of the ticket saying they were not “quality” candidates…not that they are just the normal run of the mill maga candidates who had no ideas that anyone wanted…I mean the only reason that tudor dixon was their governor candidate was that betsy devos bought it for her…and all she did was spout that abortion rights would be gone if she was elected…and that was just so stupid with the constitutional amendment protecting those rights polling at nearly 70%…so she gave up all those votes for no reason at all…or just to keep the maga assholes happy…and that was the problem all the way down the ticket…and look at john gibbs who beat pete meijer in the primary…this said that women shouldn’t even have the right to vote and that was just fine with the repub primary voters…here’s the thing I’ve been harping on for quite a while now…if the vote is fair in Michigan, as it now has to be with gerrymandering essentially outlawed, we will win since they are more of us than repubs…and we have ideas for making the state better and the repubs only have hate to run on…and we’re tired of that crap…and that showed election day…yee ha…
They went too far…
Well…I think one of the reasons we now have abortion rights and voting rights enshrined in the constitution here in Michigan was that repubs went too far in trying to take those rights away…and with the overwhelming wins of those two proposals, it just shows that the repubs were never really governing for anyone but their base…and there are not enough voters in their base to win a fair election like the one we just had with the districts drawn by the independent commission that again, we voters had to enshrine in our constitution with the repubs cheating in every damn election with the worst gerrymander in the entire US. And we also saw the repubs fixation on taking rights away from the LGBTQ community and election denying were not winning strategies since they lost both the house and senate Tuesday. That’s as it should be…for 40 years the dems have had many more votes cast in every election but the repubs cheated to keep control of Michigan and ram their hate, stupidity, and religion down everyone’s throats…but those days are over for at least two years and I am excited to see what the dems can do to fix the damage the repubs did here…I would suggest a tax on the rich for starters and no more giveaways to business…wouldn’t that be nice?
