Well…if you remember a couple of weeks ago, two of NY’s star prosecutors who were working on the case against the criminal trump abruptly resigned after the new Manhattan district attorney, Alvin Bragg, decided to not pursue an indictment against trump…and there was tons of speculation why no indictments and why the prosecutors would resign after putting in years of work on the case…well…now we know. After the NYT obtained the resignation letter of one of the prosecutors, Mark Pomerantz, it is crystal clear why he couldn’t go on in the corrupt office that Bragg has built…in the letter, Pomerantz gets bluntly to the point and says that with the evidence and case that was developed against trump, he believed that idiot boy was “guilty of numerous felony violations” and that it is a “grave failure of justice” not to hold him accountable…and the other prosecutor, a Mr. Dunne, concurred and were planning on charging trump with falsifying business records which is a felony in NY state. Now the question is “why did Bragg kill the investigation and does he have any connection to the trump crime family?” You have to remember that when Cy Vance was DA, he had both Jared and Ivanka on felony changes for the same kind of crap and, after he got a mysterious 50K campaign donation, he dropped the investigation in that case, too….so, Justice department, and Merrick Garland, what are you going to do about this corrupt bullshit that is allowing another trump to walk from felonies that anyone else would be sitting in jail for? I think this has been a repub plan from the start, to corrupt the justice system from local prosecutors to the supreme court so they can do whatever the hell they like, break any laws they like and never have to worry about being held accountable…now I hope the justice department will prove me wrong…but I don’t have any hope that will happen…geez…

Paul Manafort isn’t going anywhere…
Well…I’ll admit I had a pretty big smile on my face when I read the news that Paul Manafort was yanked off a plane this morning in Miami and his passport revoked as he was trying to make a run for it to Dubai….and it seems a little funny that this would happen to the fully pardoned trump flunky unless there are other things going on at the Justice department that are going to break soon…like more crimes in Ukraine to go with the the ones he already committed there that helped lead to Putin’s invasion….or even maybe that this could be part of a criminal complaint against the idiot boy (we can hope) that could land them both in jail and the JD is making sure he is going to be here to face the charges…and this time he will stay in jail since he doesn’t have the idiot to give him a pardon and that fact may even get him to cooperate this time. This will be an interesting one to watch over the next couple of weeks…and it couldn’t happen to a bigger crook…oh, okay…trump is a bigger crook and I hope they get him in this one, too…geez…
Who knew Kid Rock was secretary of state?
Well…damn, who knew that Kid Rock was the secretary of state for the idiot trump? It was revealed yesterday that, when he was golfing with hid great buddy trump, idiot boy asked this crappy musician his opinion what he should do with North Korea, even bringing out maps (that were probably highly classified) to point out to him what he was talking about…and no one on idiot boy’s staff said a word to him that maybe it was a little inappropriate (or even illegal) to show classified information to a civilian…again, I’ll do the imagining exercise…imagine what the repubs would have done if even Hillary had been invited to give advice to Biden? In public at a golf club in front of other civilians? You would still be hearing about it today even in the confirmation hearings for Judge Jackson and it would be in every add for the 2022 elections…but with idiot boy? Not a peep as the hypocrites in the repub party continue to ignore the 48 times that it is clear trump broke the law…typical repub bullshit…geez…
Back to the 15th century..
Well…in case you haven’t been paying attention, let’s summarize what the repubs end game is now that they have captured the supreme court by chicanery and lies…first you know they want to overturn Roe and make abortion illegal again across the repub controlled states and that is going to happen in the near future as telegraphed by the unqualified right wing assholes that trump and mcconnell stole seats for….but that’s not all they are coming for..since their ideas are so damn unpopular across the country…even with mainstream repubs, they need to have the court legislate from the bench and return this country to the 15th century where women were property and the church is the only law. We can see this by the latest repub talking point that Griswold was “improperly” decided…you know the one…that struck down all of the laws that made contraception illegal….and now their next target is the ruling that gave gay people the same rights as everyone else and that one will be struck down next year with the cases that are now wending their way through the courts with the express purpose of giving the SC the chance to overturn Obergfell…the ruling that expanded US rights to include gay people. The latest attack on rights is the idea that a state can extend it’s authority to women as they try to go to other states for legal abortions…and they are using the the SC’s non ruling in the Texas abortion case where they let stand the bounty system that allows anyone to sue any person involved with helping a woman get an abortion…and that goes against the constitution’s guarantee that the laws of one state stop at that states borders…can you imagine if all you needed was one blood red state allowing slavery again and then all states would have to abide by the laws of that state? That is exactly what the repubs are trying to do through the SC and, with the right wing hacks on the court who have no respect for precedent or the constitution, they just might get their wish even though 80% of the country doesn’t want any of this crap….now do you understand why it is essential to vote in every damn election? We need to get a big enough majority in the senate to expand the court without Manchin or Sinema or this country is doomed…geez…
Putie boy isn’t going anywhere…
Well…in a little bit of good news coming out of the atrocity that Putin has rained down on the peaceful Ukrainian people, the International Court of Justice has just designated the invasion of Ukraine a war crime and Putin a war criminal…which makes it a hanging offense if Putin ever leaves Russia again…so maybe he can go to one of the countries that are run by his puppets and have no relationship with the court, but no more UN, no more vacations to the Riviera, no nothing unless he wants to be hauled up in front of the court and sentenced to death…and this ruling makes it pretty simple…the only proof they need is that the invasion happened…and it did so they really don’t have to prove anything…and all of the idiot’s tv addresses just add to the evidence and make it even harder for outside countries to help him avoid sanctions if they don’t want to be hit with the same charges…so all of his puppets need to start looking over their shoulders and making plans to hunker down in their own countries since they can be arrested if they ever set foot outside of them…a good development amid all of the carnage Putin is raining down on innocent civilians in Ukraine…geez….
Let me get this straight….
Well…as I was reading about breathless reporting that the war in Ukraine has entered a new phase with the Russians “digging in” and making semi permanent placements of their tanks and artillery and this is a bad thing for the Ukrainian army…but, in my non military head, my take on it is a little different…sitting in a semi permanent location that can be found by any one of a number of drones and tells the Ukrainians where the Russians are seems to be a little bit on the stupid side…there are even videos already showing the tanks digging in so what is to keep the Ukrainians from shelling these emplacements with artillery or bombing them with drones or aircraft? After all, these aren’t hardened reinforced concrete structures designed to withstand bombs but they are just holes that they are parking the tanks in…and to keep them useful the turrets need to be exposed so they can aim their guns and the tops of the turrets have some of the thinnest armor on the tank, making them perfect targets for a hellfire missile or even a bomb toting drone…so, what is the thinking here? I sure as hell wouldn’t park my tanks where they couldn’t be used and could be attacked at will…and it would only take about 3 artillery shells to zero them in and kill the tanks…I wonder if they are digging in because they don’t have the fuel to drive the tanks anymore? Whatever the reason, this appears to be just another in a long line of blunders by the supposed “super” Russian army who have been fought to a standstill by the motivated Ukrainians….cripes, I would love to have my enemy just sit there while I attacked…I guess they can fill the holes with burned out tanks…geez…
The NYT goes off the rails…again…
Well..in what is becoming a sickening occurrence, the New York Times has gone off the rails again today with the worst sort of bothsiderism that I have ever seen…and a complete, stupid misinterpretation of the first amendment. As the right wing continues to whine that people are pushing back on their lies and conspiracy theories and won’t listen to them spew that nonsense, the Times is on it, first with a right wing college student who was given the editorial page to whine that no one listens to her spout her bullshit and calls it “cancelling” her rights under the first amendment, and today, the editorial page stays on that theme saying that the biggest danger to our first amendment rights is the left not listening and calling bullshit on these right wing assholes. Now, I’ve read the first amendment, and there is not one damn thing in there that says you have a constitutional right to be listened to as you lie your ass off and spout racist, misogynist bullshit…remember folks, the first amendment only applies to the government regulating speech…if I don’t want to hear someone spouting that the idiot trump was the bestest president in the history of the universe, I don’t have to give you a forum to continue to say it…or an ear to listen to it and the snowflakes on the right wing just don’t understand why no one wants to hear their crap other than other trump cult members….and it IS my right to call a right wing racist asshole a right wing racist asshole and dismiss them without letting them pollute my ears with their bullshit…back when I was young, none of the crap the repubs are pushing daily was accepted and the party policed that nonsense…could you imagine anyone taking Khrushev’s side 50 years ago? Or being on Russian tv on a loop to support a war that the rest of the world is against? This is just another incidence where the right wing editors of the NYT are doing everything in their power to normalize how far to the fascist side the repubs have gone over the past 30 years….we all need to call them out and make sure there is a price to pay for all of the lies the repubs continue to spout…and that is not protected by the first amendment…geez…
More companies to boycott over support for Putin…
Well…even with most US companies pulling out of Russia in response to Putin’s invasion of Ukraine and his committing of war crimes there, there are still a few companies that have always supported Putin or his predecessor Stalin or even Hitler in WWII and are staying there…and you can guess at least one of them would be Koch industries whose war profiteering in Germany in support of Hitler gave us the Koch brothers who have done more to damage this country than just about anyone else…but guess what Ada, Michigan based company is on the same list as the Kochs? Yep the ultra right wing DeVos and VanAndel’s company Amway has stated they are staying in Russia…and, are you surprised? You shouldn’t be if you watched the damage the DeVos’s did to public education here in Michigan and across the country as Eric Prince’s sister, Betsy DeVos tried her best to ensure that we couldn’t compete with the world in our children’s education all the while trying to make our whole system a for profit one that her rich cronies could milk dry before they moved on to steal somewhere else. These are not the only companies who have decided to stay in Russia to support Putin’s murdering and war crimes…how about Nestle? Yep, they’re staying along with all of the brands they own…like Gerber baby food, Purina cat foods along with Friskie…you get the picture…please take a look at these companies and boycott them from this point forward…buying from them supports children being murdered in Ukraine…it’s that clear…geez…
What the hell is he thinking?
Well…cripes, normally when you are in a hole, you stop digging to get out of it but not with the moron Putin…just yesterday he gave a “speech” that basically attacked everyone in Russia that aren’t him and threatened to close the borders in a return to the bad old days of Stalin and basically make everyone in the country a prisoner who would not be able to leave…so, guess what the response was? everyone who could get out of the country did…and a striking thing was the 300+ private jets that made a run for it, heading to Dubai and other middle eastern countries and I would guess full of family and friends of the owners of the jets….and these weren’t the only people getting the hell out of dodge…since the invasions and war crimes started, everyone who could afford to get out have gone…and the Russian airlines have had to double and triple their flights out of Russia to meet the demand…and so far, almost 400,000 Russians have voted with their feet and everyone is scrambling to get out…and, in a real example of the crazy that is left in Putin’s government, one of his crazy assed “ministers” said the other day that Russia is “owed” all of the territory it has ever given up and the war will continue until it is returned to them…and that includes Alaska and other parts of the Northwestern US….so now we see where this is all going…Putin is going to continue to spiral down into madness until there is nothing left in Russia except a hollowed out husk that will never be a player on the world stage again…how’s that working out for you puutie boy? what a moron…geez…
Putin looks like he’s going to lose this war…
Well… I have been trying to avoid commenting on the point that Putin is going to lose in Ukraine as there are still untold war crimes he and his troops are committing there by targeting civilians and continuing to kill thousands of them…and it seems to be disrespectful to sit here on my soft warm couch and opine while Ukrainians are fighting for their lives…but, it does appear that with the latest round of support for the Ukrainians from across the globe, the tide is turning as they start concerted counterattacks on the Russian invaders. One of the things I find most stunning is that the Russian military, once thought to be one of the best in the world appears to be a hollowed out shell of itself…incapable of the things that normal armies do as a matter of course…I mean they are even using cell phones and commercial walkie talkies to try to talk to each other and even those aren’t working to coordinate attacks like a normal army does….and it is clear they can’t supply the army with even the basics of food and water as the videos of Russian soldiers stealing chickens and looting grocery stores show….and this just supports what I proposed in an earlier post, that 2 squadrons of A-10 attack jets could defeat this whole Russian invasion all by themselves…and if a NATO army was brought to bear on the Russian forces with all the force that entails, it would take a day or less for Russia to be defeated and driven from Ukraine….one last thing to remember is that Putin is now going to be isolated in Russia and will never be able to leave there again or he will be arrested and taken to the Hague for trial on the war crimes his troop have committed…this is a far cry from the superpower that he postured Russia to be…and maybe this will be his end…we can only hope…
