Well…just wanted to add another one on ole Snyder’s state of the state address from last week and the one glaring thing that was was not in it…specifics…particularly specifics on how his policies of tax cuts for the rich, attacking unions, and hurting women have created jobs here in Michigan. And you know how the repubs like to take credit for any good news even if they had nothing to do with it…like the auto recovery that was a combination of the companies, the unions, and the federal government and had nothing to do with any repub effort…don’t you think that if Snyder had any data to back up his boasts that his policies were working that he would have led with that in the address? He can’t because it doesn’t exist…we are next to last in unemployment rate and are projected to be 49th in job growth over the next three years and our performance mirrors that of other states where the discredited repub economic policies have been tried. So, this so called tough nerd needs to be sent back to the business world where he comes from…where ceo’s can not perform and still get millions of dollars while the workers pay the price…just like the people of Michigan have paid the price for the past 3 years….geez…

Another one bites the dust…
Well…just ran across another neat little tidbit in the news a few minutes ago that I just had to share…it seems the former governor of Virginia was indicted today for taking gifts and bribes while he was in office…and it couldn’t happen to a nicer guy…and by that I mean a crazy-assed privileged repub who thought that the laws don’t apply to them. To make this even better, this idiot was the tea party darling who did more to egg on the legislature there to take away a woman’s right to control her own healthcare and forced doctors to perform unnecessary medical procedures on women who want abortions. Just another instance where the connected repubs think that they can do anything they want when they are in office…or in business and that the laws that the rest of us live by don’t apply to them…glad they got this prick….geez…
More lies from Lansing…
Well…I have been gagging since the state of the state speech that our “wonderful” governor delivered last week…full of boasting and taking credit for the few jobs that have been added since they gave away thousands of dollars from retirees to their corporate masters…and the worst is his tries to make the radical, right wing fueled policies of his tea party cronies seem like they are supported by the majority of the people of Michigan. They are not….more than 70% of the people didn’t want the additional restrictions on a woman’s right to control here own healthcare…but the radicals jammed it through the legislature and Snyder signed one of the most restrictive laws in the nation. More than 60% of the people didn’t want pensions to be taxed to pay for more giveaways to the rich and corporations that have not resulted in the adding of one job…but the legislature passed it and Snyder signed it…more than 60% of the people didn’t want a “right to work for less” law that is a direct attack on the middle class and the unions that helped make the middle class possible…so, when this liar tries to make himself and his radical, corporatist, religious cronies sound mainstream, don’t believe it…look with your own eyes and your own wallet…geez…
It’s the republicans fault…
Well…with the vote yesterday in the senate that blocked the re-instatement of UI benefits for the long term unemployed…there is only one party that is responsible…and it’s name starts with an R…can you guess which one? Yep, the damn republicans are at it again, showing their disdain for anyone that is not rich and trying to spin it that is mean ole Harry Reid’s fault since he wouldn’t let the repubs add amendments that would repeal Obamacare and add more giveaways to big business. The sickening thing about all this is how transparently political this sham is…when ole GW was in office, the dems never asked for anything in return for taking care of Americans…they went along because it was the right thing to do…but the repubs don’t give a damn about Americans…even the unemployed R’s that vote for them…I think they are going to be surprised at the backlash for this one…there have been numerous stories that have die hard r’s that are unemployed who say they will never vote for a repub again….and we just might get Harry Reid to change the filibuster rules again that will let them get things done with a simple majority…and cut the repubs out of the process all together…they don’t want to govern anyway…geez…
Still in a malaise…
Well…it has been another day of basically nothing..other than going out to lunch…and I am feeling that malaise that had been dogging me for the past month…which is keeping me from thinking about what to write here and finding a good topic…we still have the repubs being dicks by trying everything to keep UI benefits from being approved by attaching amendments that do nothing but punish people….and that is what the repub party has become over the years…all punishment…all the time…punish the poor, punish voters, punish women, punish undocumented people….when are they ever going to try to do something for the country and its people? Oh, that’s right, never….I wish Olbermann would bring back “the worst person in the world” and we could name the entire right in this country….what a bunch of asses…geez…
The stupid is really deep in Texas…
Well…I have been a little lax in doing these lately but I have an excuse that works for me…and I guess that’s all I need…I did read a funny article…just a shorty…or maybe even on Twitter…not sure…but the gist of the article is the fight that is going on with the repubs for board of ed in Texas…and there was a scene straight from “Inherit the Wind” about the Scopes monkey trial early last century…yep, that long ago…when one of the candidates actually stood up in a public forum and asks for votes since she believes that “we didn’t come from no monkeys” …in this day and age, running for a position that will affect millions of Texas children…they still have viable candidates who are proud of their ignorance and passing that same ignorance on to their children…I’ll ask this one again…”what the hell is wrong with Texas?” geez…

Well…I just had to comment on the continued saga of ole Chris Christie and the political payback his staff laid on the mayor of Ft. Lee NJ just because he wouldn’t endorse ole Chris…I know he fired someone that is supposed to be responsible..but that doesn’t get to the root of the problem…and that is Christie is a bully, and he runs his administration like any bully from the playgrounds to the internet…how else does anyone expect his staff to act when they see bullying as accepted practice day in and day out? It all boils down to the tone that ole Chris has set for his administration of confrontation and attack against anyone who dares to not do what he says…and it showed up in this bs incident…monkey see, monkey do….geez…
A Limbaugh smackdown…
Well…as we always expect, ole Rush went off the deep end again showing his ignorance and stupidity during the latest cold snap that has gripped the US over the past few days. When meteorologists stated to explain the weather pattern using the term “polar vortex”, ole Rush just went ballistic saying that it was a brand new term made up by the people who are pushing the “fallacy” of global warming and just a part of the conspiracy to do whatever he thinks the conspiracy is for…maybe taking away freedumbz? But, yesterday, Al Roker skewered his assertion by tweeting a page from a meteorology textbook from 1959 that used the term to describe exactly the phenomenon that we are seeing…and then betting anyone 1,000 dollars if they could come up with any instance where he related the vortex to global warming…and, guess what? No one could do it…one question I have is: doesn’t ole Rush have a staff that researches the bile he is spewing? Oh, of course not…he doesn’t give a damn about the truth so why would he pay someone to find out what it is? I have really tried to not write about ole Rush since I feel I need brain bleach every time…and I’m sure my brain won’t survive that much bleach…geez…

Well…I am relishing this obscure little story that pulls the curtain back on how Chris Christie and most other repubs operate…if you didn’t read this, in the fall, the mayor of Ft. Lee NJ, a democrat, declined to endorse Christie for his re-election and any other dem should do given that Christie is just another thug repub. What happened next is a case study in repub thuggery…the people in Christie’s administration conspired to close down two of three lanes of the GW bridge (the busiest in the world) that run into and out of Ft. Lee, causing massive traffic backups and hampering the ability of emergency responders to move through the city. At the time, Christie’s aides said it was a “traffic study”, a blatant lie given the release of texts and e-mails that clearly show that Christie’s top aide was part of organizing payback for standing up to Christie and his thugs. Christie even did a press conference, again blatantly lying that no one from his office had been involved. So, we have another example of the thugs in the repub party thinking that laws don’t apply to them and using the levers of government unlawfully to punish their foes… an offense that should result in Christie’s resignation at the very least, and prosecution for all involved…geez…
Politics are coming back…
Well…I have been waiting for the congress to get back into session so I can comment on the idiocy that comes out of the right almost…no, every day….oh, and one if most stupid politicians out there, Scott Walker, had to comment on the battle to extend UI benefits saying that they shouldn’t be extended since anyone can just go out and get a job and the benefits just allow people to be lazy mooches…oh, and that no one that is unemployed is qualified to work since their skills are not up to date…do you get the incongruity there? So, anyone can just go out and get a job but they can’t because they have no skills? What a piece of crap this guy is…first, the advanced manufacturing jobs that Walker is touting and that the unemployed is supposed to not have the skills for just don’t exist…especially in the workers utopia of Wisconsin that Walker runs…where are the 250,000 jobs you promised Scott? That your tax cuts and union busting was supposed to deliver? Just another idiot on the right that has no clue about the economy but what their ideology tells them…not the truth….geez…
