Well…as you can see, the site was down for a day and I’m still not sure if it’s working right…still can’t access from my phone but that might be that the IP address has changed and I may have to re mark it to make it work…it was an okay day yesterday and I won at pool for the third week in a row…but, not by much…I think my allergies are going crazy already and I feel like crap today…but, I did get out and get 8 miles on the bike today and it looks like I’ll be able to get to ten or so in a week if the temp stays up…it does feel good to get exercise again….lost this one for a third time not sure what the hell is going on with the software today…

Some sports?
Well…it has been a semi productive day today but if I add in all of the sports I have been trying to see, it gets much more so….just finished up watching Man U win one and take the three points and now am watching the Wings play a kind of lethargic game but they are still tied so I guess that is okay…and, after I finish this one, going to go back to basketball as my flashback channel…oh, and there is a race on in an hour and a half with Michigan starting about the same time…and State later…geez…my head is spinning with all of the work just trying to keep them all straight….so, I’m going to go back to the couch and just potato for a while…probably a long while but I do need to do 2 more of these today or maybe tomorrow?
A little news…
Well….have been working a little around here today…got the bathroom cleaned, finally, and am in the middle of watching Man U and the Wings play…but, I almost forgot this little bit of news…my oldest son got married Friday…got a call from him last night and he sounds happy…and I laughed when I heard from my daughter that he was pretty geeked that his whole wedding only cost 35 bucks instead of the 10,000 that she spent on hers…so it will happen that all of my sons will be married in one year…and I worked so hard trying to teach them never to get married…that was kind of a joke…I’m happy for all of them…
Life is life?
Well…I was going to name this one “life sucks” but that is a little bit too much of a downer even for me….but it does…at least that’s how I feel right now…going broke again and I spent 60 bucks I didn’t have for food and gas for the car today….and there are no prospects to make any more for quite a while…I wonder if I should just stop eating and see how far I can go? But then I’d feel even worse than I do….not sure what to do…at least Ohio State lost today so that made me smile a little this aft but I haven’t been able or willing to work on a political one today….after the rain yesterday, the trails may be clear enough to go more than a half mile…probably should go check before the State game comes on…that might help and I did get the gear muddy a couple of days ago…damn, just remembered I have clothes that have been sitting in the washer…should go take care of those…
March 20th
Well…running late today, again, and it’s just because I couldn’t find the pizza sauce at Meijer’s this morning…looked all over for it…took about 20 minutes and I was not happy that they moved it…but, I am going to make a homemade pizza today so that makes it a little better…just getting so tired of chicken or pork loin…slept okay last night but I was not good so I feel a little under the weather…and now, the soreness from the 5 miles the other day has hit and I am just grumpy….not much to do today…there is way too much sports on today with basketball, college hockey, and the Wings on so it is going to be a wasted day, again….but, it doesn’t cost any money so that is a plus…more later…
Something on the Ukraine…
Well….still not feeling all that great but had a couple of thoughts that I wanted to get down on the Ukraine situation…I wonder where people get the idea that anything can be done? Especially by us…do the hawks here think we are going to attack Russia? And, the thing is that Putin knows it…not only because they have a real army with real tanks and attack helicopters and fighter jets…something that Afghanistan didn’t have and we are still there 13 years later and still haven’t won. Plus, you just need to look at the supply lines if you are going to consider a real shooting war…Russia has 20 divisions within a day of the Ukraine…it would take the US 6 months to get ready for any sustained attack…yeah, we could maybe lob a few cruise missles at them but all that would do would be to piss them off…so, where does that leave us? In the reality based world, it means doing just what we are doing…talking to the UN and other organizations that can levee economic sanctions to make them hurt some…like the new suggestion that Russia be expelled form the G8, making getting loans almost impossible to get and forcing them to basically go on a cash basis….will that work? Who knows? But it is better than a shooting war…geez…
March 19th
Well…it was a long day yesterday but I did get back on the bike so that is something…but, I was really stupid yesterday and will be paying for it all day today….oh, well….didn’t get the top sealed right on the car either so there was a small leak in it when I went out for the papers this morning….I am just not feeling this right now and I’m not sure why…I do have a few free movie channels on the dish today so that will help in the recovery process as will getting off my butt and onto the weight machine…may even get back on the bike if it stops raining…but, that will be later…I need to have the second cup of coffee and sit for a few first….more later…
Another day…
Well…I was going to update my day since I can’t find anything that gets the old outrage flowing today…I did get a 5 mile bike ride in and I feel so decrepit with the lungs on fire and soreness everywhere…oh, well…one thing that has made me smile a little is that the Koch’s have pulled their lying ACA ads from the air across the US…it looks like the Kochroaches don’t really do too well when exposed to the sunlight of the media and truth….maybe things are finally turning..I think their brand is being tarnished by the lies, lies, and more lies they have been putting out…it’s okay for their base since they are used to being lied to and eat that crap up, but the rest of the country is starting to get tired of it…especially since over half of the political ads run so far this year…something like 30,000 of them have been against the ACA…even though people are starting to like the law…hope it continues and the Kochs just go away…wouldn’t it be nice if they’d use the money to feed the hungry or house the homeless…430 million would have done a lot of good…geez…
March 18th
Well…it was an okay day yesterday and I was very good just testing why I have been feeling like crap lately…I do feel a little better today but I am still suffering from allergy-like symptoms that I will need to figure out…slept okay but tossed and turned again and I am sore from it….I am going to get out on the bike for a recon run today to take a look at the trails and see how much longer it will be for a full run…hope I can get to it later this week and get started losing the winter weight….feel like a slug without exercise and that may be part of my malaise…it looks like one more week before the summer wheels go back on the car…just not going to push it…not much other than the bike ride to do today and cleaning…have to put the trash out and do some cooking…more later…
Still not feeling well…
Well…still not feeling well today and I’m not sure if I did it to myself or not….don’t think so…but, I still do have to come back to do another one today no matter how I feel….I did just get the chance to go out and read Nate Silver’s new website Fivethirtyeight.com and it could become a place for some news that is as objective as it comes since he is a numbers guy and just wants to report the facts, not opinion…well…there may be some opinion but it will be labeled as such so you can tell….the repubs shot themselves in the foot, again, over the past few days…bitching about how people who qualify for food stamps actually use the program to eat…while applauding corporations not paying any taxes while using the laws/programs that allow them to do that….shouldn’t their heads be spinning yet? I guess “corporations are people my friends” and as such they are more equal than real ones….geez…
