Well…we all know that trump is a criminal and has been one his entire life, but this is not about his criminality but about one of his best buddie’s criminality. Look, we know that Mitch McConnell doesn’t think that following laws or norms are for him…and this latest bit of outrage fits ole Mitch perfectly…he has been using government money to benefit his re-election campaign through his wife Elaine Chao who is the secretary of transportation. It seems that Chao has been personally taking it upon herself to approve funding for projects in Tennessee that Mitch wants and that he thinks he will be able to leverage into another term in the senate…never mind that this circumvents established ways that these grants are normally approved…and most of the projects don’t meet the criteria for approval but Chao approved them anyway…and she even hired a crony of Mitch’s as a “liaison” to Mitch’s office to make sure she knows which project that would do the most to help Mitch. Come on, repubs…there is no damn way that you can approve of using tax dollars to elect someone…oh, yeah, I guess you can since all of you are ethically challenged and would do it in a minute if you had those connections…how the hell do you live with yourselves? geez….

My coyote story…
Well…I almost forgot to talk about this one but it is a pretty good story so here goes…when I took off for an early ride Sunday morning…out of here a little before 7 and that is a little early but was the only time that I could avoid the rain…the ride was normal until the downhill after the first big climb along M-6 when I saw the weirdest thing I’ve seen on the bike…a coyote with one of it’s hind legs caught in the top of the four foot fence that lines the trail…it appeared that it had tried to leap the fence but just didn’t make it and was hanging high enough that it’s front legs couldn’t reach the ground…and me, being the idiot that I am, stopped to take a look to see if I could help…but, I’m not enough of an idiot to do so without protection of some heavy leather gloves since coyotes are known to have rabies quite a bit…so, I turned around, rode back home, got the gloves and headed back to the animal…by the time I got back to it, it must have shaken itself loose since it was gone and I admit that I felt a little relief since I don’t know enough about coyotes to have freed it safely….so, I think this one goes to the top of trail weirdness that I have seen over the years…now, I just need to see a bear to beat that one…
June 11th
Well…up at 5:25 again this morning but something weird happened…instead of just giving up and getting up, I went back to bed and actually slept for another half hour..and boy, some really weird dreams happened in that half hour and that was pretty cool…and adding that half hour has me feeling pretty good this morning…even before coffee…but damn, it’s 49 degrees out there…in June…in Michigan…and that is just not right…so that will put me back to riding until 10 so it will probably mean a one ride day again today and that isn’t bad…my legs don’t feel like they are going to fall off today so it appears I’ve not done any permanent damage by doing doubles every day but I will go back to them once the weather cooperates…I did get out to run an errand yesterday and need to do another one this morning…I mean when you can get 100% cotton polos at Target for 5 bucks, I can’t pass that up since most of mine are getting pretty shabby…so that will come after the ride when it warms up…the US plays it’s first women’s world cup match this afternoon and I have been watching most of them so far and it has been pretty good soccer that has delivered some surprises….so that means I probably won’t get anything done today…and that’s okay….more later….
A bad day for the idiot..
Well…I really think the rest of the world is finally seeing what those of us in the fact-based community saw from the start…that trump truly is an idiot who can’t be trusted to even tell the truth of what day it is…and today was really a bad day for the idiot…first, his lies about the “trade agreement” with Mexico completely fell apart as news organizations reported that everything that Mexico agreed to was already in the works months ago and there was no “signed agreement” that trump shouted about on twitter…and today, the Mexican foreign minister confirmed that reporting and even went farther to say that the “agreement” for Mexico to buy “huge amounts” of farm products that trump lied about is news to him…they never even talked about it during meetings and there is no mechanism for those purchases to happen since there is no extra demand for those products. The second part of the bad day for idiot boy was that hearings on the Mueller report started today with ex prosecutors and John Dean all saying that trump obstructed justice and would be in handcuffs if he wasn’t president…and trump’s toadies in congress made fools of themselves to the point of laughter as they tried to spew trump’s propaganda and no one was buying it anymore. This was just the start of the hearings, too, so the American people are going to hear about all of the criminality for a couple of months…and after Justin Amash said that after reading the report, he thinks trump should be impeached, the needle has moved to 50% of the people supporting impeachment…up from 40% just a couple of weeks ago. Hey, how about number three? China has been floating trial balloons that they may not even negotiate with trump on trade anymore since you can’t trust a word he says….saying that they may just wait trump out since they don’t think he can be re-elected and they can then deal with a non-delusional administration that is not run by a moron. After that, trump threw a tantrum and said that he would raise the Chinese tariffs if Xi won’t meet with him at the G-20 meetings…cripes, what a baby. There is more and more of this…but, I want to watch the race that was postponed to today…needless to say, it was a bad, bad day for the idiot…and they are just going to get worse…impeach…
The crap is going to hit the fan…
Well…with all of the stonewalling by the trump crime family that includes Bill Barr, the crap is going to hit the fan this morning with contempt of congress citations for Bill Barr and Don McGahn being presented to congress for a vote scheduled for tomorrow for their refusal to comply with legal subpoenas to turn over the unredacted Mueller report in Barr’s case, and to show up for testimony in McGahn’s case. With a change to rules that happened last week, the chairman, Jerry Nadler, can then go straight to the courts to force them to follow the law and may even knock down the rest of of the cases of stonewalling that trump and his cronies were hoping would delay the inevitable compliance with the House’s legal right to those people and that information. Oh…I get it now…that’s what the whole Mexican tariff thing was about…to distract from what is going to be a huge loss to trump this week and he was trying to crowd it out of the news cycle…what a predictable, sorry excuse for a human….impeach…
June 10th
Well…that was a little better…didn’t wake up until 5:24 and stayed in bed until after 6 so that is a win in my book…and I don’t feel too bad today so that’s a double win…just noticed that I didn’t come back here for a second one yesterday and I’m not sure why that would be…had plenty of time and didn’t do much but get one bike ride in and cook so maybe it was just inertia and boredom…who knows? I normally like rainy days but yesterday was just kind of blah with the rain on and off all day…maybe because it was a little cold and I couldn’t open this place up and enjoy the sounds and smells…and the cold is going to linger this week with highs only in the 50′s later in the week…50′s, in June? That is just not right…..at least it’s over 60 right now and I’ll be able to get out on the bike as soon as I want since the rain has moved out…after cooking with the instant pot yesterday, I will have leftovers for the next couple of days but will need to start planning other meals for later in the week…I’m just so bored with food right now that nothing seems good so that may be a problem….more later…
June 9th
Well…back to crappy sleep again…up at 5 again this morning and that is so disappointing because I know that will hit me later in the day and I’ll be exhausted…and what little sleep I did get was on my right eye so my sight is blurry this morning…bitch, bitch, bitch…okay, I’ll stop that now….part of that could be that I cut back on allergy medicine yesterday and my eyes feel scratchy this morning….but, I don’t have a lot of pain so I’ll take that…it was going to be a day off the bike but it’s not raining right now and it looks like I have a dry slot that is going to last until almost 11 so I think I’ll get out for an easy one here in a few minutes…it’s just too damn hard to take a day off the bike unless it pouring or there’s lightning…didn’t get much done yesterday but I am going to cook and clean today as I watch the women’s world cup and some races later today….need to fire up the instant pot for chicken and veggies later to use some of that 10 pounds I bought last week….more later….
The Mexican “deal” is a scam…
Well…it is really funny to see idiot boy trump’s ass beaten on tariffs for Mexico….if you haven’t heard, trump declared victory and rescinded his threats to impose 5% to 25% tariffs, lying his ass off that he got “major” new concessions and signed a trade deal…the only problem is that the “deal” he signed has nothing new in it…the deal is for Mexico to continue doing what they were already doing? Look, we all know that trump folds like paper whenever he is put under pressure and there was a lot of it from everyone on this latest bit of stupidity….and the threats from dem senators that they will take away his power to declare emergencies and to impose any tariffs called the chicken in chiefs bluff….it appears the economy has had enough of this economic policy by tantrum and the layoffs have started in the manufacturing sectors across the country as management has had enough of not being able to plan since trump changes the economic outlook every day by his stupidity and that is introducing too much uncertainty for the economy to bear….so welcome to recession in the next 6 months…nice job trump, given the best economy in years and all you have done is screw it up…impeach…
June 8th
Well…that breaks the string of sleeping okay at 6 days and I am pretty disappointed…up at 3:54 for the first time and then out of bed at 5:18 so I’m pretty early here this morning….and it looks like an early bike ride today, too, plan on getting out as soon as it’s light since it’s 57 right now and that is warm enough to go out in a t-shirt…want to get back here to watch the women’s world cup at 8 and then F1 qualifying is on after that so I may have something to nap to…and there is napcar on later, too so at least I won’t be bored today…or, I will be but there will be something playing in the background all day that may get my attention off and on…had an okay day yesterday with doing a double on the bike but not doing anything else but watching sports and today will be the same…have 10 pounds of chicken that I need to deal with either cooking or freezing it…or I’ll wait to tomorrow to run the instant pot on some and freeze some….that will be the extent of my thinking today and that’s a good thing since I really don’t want to do much more than that right now…more later…
The economy starts to sag…
Well…gee, who could have ever predicted that putting an ignorant moron in charge of the US economy would cause damage that starts to destroy the great one he was left by Obama? Ominous clouds have started to appear on the horizon with the release of the jobs numbers this morning that showed only 75,000 jobs were created and, with a revision of earlier numbers from this year, the past three months have seen no jobs created at all and in fact, layoffs across the country have started with over a 100,000 jobs lost just in the past month or so. I wonder what that cause would be? Could it be the moronic tariffs that idiot boy has imposed on friends and foes alike? That’s sure what it looks like as the taxes by tariff that have been loaded on the shoulders of the American people take effect and the higher costs cool off demand across the country…and that doesn’t even take into effect the Mexican tariffs that are slated to take effect Monday and that will slam the Michigan economy by instantly raising costs for automakers who get much of their parts from Mexico…auto sales are already slowing ominously and an extra 5% in costs that idiot boy wants to raise to 25% will mean huge layoffs that have already started with the slowing demand. So, I wonder what the idiot in chief is going to run on when the economy goes into a recession by the end of the year? He has nothing else and with being underwater in the midwest states already, a cratering economy is not going to make it better….impeach…
