Well…I was a little chagrined earlier in the week when a conservative repub was floated as the new supreme court justice to be appointed by Obama…but then I found that Sandoval’s name was just part of the 11 dimensional chess that Obama is playing…he is actually trolling the repubs to make sure their reactions are as terrible as they can be…making sure that they go on record as saying that no matter who is nominated, the repubs will not do their constitutional duty to advise on the legal appointment of a new justice that Obama has every right to do…thereby ensuring that we will take back the senate later in the year when the new dem president will appoint a true progressive and tilt the court back to sanity for a generation….and the cool thing is that the repubs just don’t see it…only seeing their obstructionist path that is going to lead to their doom…please proceed, repubs…

Alito injects politics into the court…again…
Well…with all of the crap that the repubs are spewing on the nomination to the supreme court that Obama has every right to do…and that they should take up…we now have the idiot Alito injecting politics into the process by sending a letter to McConnell saying that he agrees with their obstructionism…something that has NEVER happened in the history of the court but is not new for this liar. During his hearing for his approval…Alito lied through his teeth when he said that he would be a neutral arbiter of the law when his actions on the court have been anything but; he has been one of the most ideology driven justices there has ever been on the court…always ruling for business and against women whenever those cases come up…toeing the extreme right wing line that he promised he wouldn’t…just another lie. So now, with this last outrage, whenever this ass speaks, you know it is not as a neutral arbiter of the law as written…but the worst kind of activist justice that is hell bent on making this country worse for you and me…geez…
Another lurch to the right…
Well…the repub primary season has been a thing of wonder…as I wonder how they are going to try to appeal to anyone but their bigoted base as all the candidates lurch farther and farther to the right to try to appeal those troglodytes. The latest is ole Ted Cruz who yesterday said that, when he is elected, he will send US Marshals to find all of the undocumented immigrants in the country and forcibly deport them…never mind that they would be breaking up families and leaving their US citizen kids to fend for themselves…really, really Christian things to do, don’t you think? I wonder what the base would think of the additional “gubmint” workers that would be necessary to enforce this nonsense…and I wonder what his owners would think when the labor they need to make their obscene profits disappears? I do know that I just hope they keep this up…there will be so much ammunition for our side come the general that no independent could vote for these guys…geez…
The stupidity..it burns…
Well…I know that some of us…or all of us know some lawyers that are not the brightest people in the room…but we really do have a new winner for the most stupid person in the world. An Arizona lawyer…Kory Langhofer, proposes that we let Scalia vote on pending cases even though he’s dead…and his reasoning is that everyone knows how he would vote on the cases and he started hearing them, so just let John Roberts have two votes on all these cases….nevermind that the constitution says that appointments to the court are for a lifetime term…not for a lifetime and a few months after death…now, I have heard a lot of stupid stuff come out of Arizona over the years but this one wins for the burning hunk of stupidity it is…man, where do they get these guys? geez…

Well…I am smiling a little today after seeing that JEB! has dropped out of the race for the repub nomination…finally, this country is coming to it’s senses and making sure there will not be another Bush in the WH…and I grin a little to see that he has spent over 150 million dollars to get to 8 percent of the vote….now that leaves the field full of idiots and crazies…not that it wasn’t before…all I have to say is don’t let the door hit you in the ass on your way out…geez…
These guys are just the worst…
Well…no pool today so I thought I’d come back here and do another one of these…and I did find a topic the really needs to be addressed..that this crop of repubs are just the worst people in the world. We start with Ted Cruz who made the statement the other day that if he is elected, he will sell off or give all of the national parks and land owned by the federal government back to the states to do with what they please….and in repub controlled states, you know what that means…oil drilling in Yellowstone or strip mining in Yosemite. The heritage of Teddy Roosevelt and the American people be damned if there is profit to be made for the 1%. Then we had ole Marco Rubio show his repub core when he said that any aliens here and legal under the DREAM act, kids that were brought here when they were children, will be deported on day one…never mind that this will tear families apart and cause economic distress for his owners, this son of immigrants will shut the door on anyone else getting what he had…a chance to contribute to this great country…well…Marco hasn’t contributed anything but hate and we don’t need more of that. Then, last of all, we have the senate repubs now sending out fundraising letters touting their obstruction and not doing their jobs in holding hearings on a new supreme court justice…in what world is it a badge of honor to not do your job? Just the worst people….but that makes the choice this fall even more clear…folks that want the country to be better…and these folks that do nothing but hate…geez…
Trump vs. the Pope….
Well….I have been laughing quite a bit today with the meltdown ole Donald has had with some comment the Pope made in after his trip to Mexico this past week. When asked if Trump was a christian, the Pope said no…that if he only wants to build walls instead of bridges, he is not a christian….and that set off the Donald as to be expected and it has been gorgeous to watch…with the Donald saying that when ISIS attacks the Vatican, the pope would want to have Trump as president since he would kill them all….now, I’m not sure about you, but this could be Trump’s “jump the shark” moment…after all, how do you expect Catholic votes when you continue to insult the Pope? This is just delicious…pass the popcorn….
Spin Snyder, spin….
Well…with every revelation and every excuse that ole Snyder makes for his and his cronies screwups with the Flint water crisis, and every deflection, he is looking more and more like the common repub that can’t do anything right…and will do everything in his power to try to prove that it wasn’t his fault. The latest goes something like this…the feds screwed up since they didn’t catch us poisoning the people of Flint to save a hundred bucks a day…and since they didn’t catch us and stop us, it’s not our fault that we did hundreds of million of dollars of damage to Flint. That is the line he has been feeding the lapdog press over the past few days and they are just eating it up….not one of them asking why the buck doesn’t stop at the governor’s desk since they scream “states rights” all day every day and always want the feds to stay out of their efficient running of their state…no matter that they killed people and have doomed thousands of children to a life of hardship and learning disabilities. This is the repub way folks…screw up and blame anyone but themselves…geez…
Let the voters decide? They already did…
Well….over the past two elections, after Obama was elected, the repubs have led an unprecedented campaign to nullify the results of those two elections by their obstructionism; choosing to not do their constitutional duty on the debt, the budget, and especially in approving judges that have been presented by Obama. Their dis-ingeniousness continues with their new meme they are pushing in regard to the right that Obama has to appoint a supreme court justice: that the selection should wait until the voters decide in the 2016 presidential election. Now, if these liars would just look back to he 2012 election, one of the main themes was that if Obama was elected, he would appoint judges to the court that would be too liberal, that would grant equal rights to gay people…etc, etc…..and ole Mitt went on and on about the fact that he would appoint judges like the radical activist right wingers on the court…and when people were surveyed, almost 60% said that the supreme court was very important to their voting decision. So, the people have already voted and put Obama in for a second term to carry out his required duties of appointing judges to supreme court vacancies…and no matter what the repubs say, that is the truth….geez…
This is what Obama should do…
Well…with all of the repubs in the senate promising obstruction to any nominee that Obama puts up for the supreme court, I think Obama needs to take those threats seriously and appoint a true progressive while the senate is in recess. This would not only really piss off the repubs but would get the court to a 5-4 liberal majority for the rest of his term…and, with the court docket having so many cases that could hurt women, unions, and really screw up this country if there was a conservative majority, Obama needs to do this right now. Then, when we win the presidency and the senate later in the year, we have the chance of making the progressive majority permanent…at least for a while anyway….get it done Obama….
