Well…after the supreme court gutted the voting rights act and about an hour later the Texas repubs passed a law that would disenfranchise many, many Texans (all democratic I might add), the fallout was a suit by the AG to try to stop the shenanigans. I am just laughing at the response from the Texas repub AG, that the suit alleging that the new restrictions are racially motivated just can’t be true since the intent of the redistricting was to make sure that Democrats can’t vote…yep, in the response to the suit the repubs admitted that they are trying to rig the votes there but shouldn’t be held responsible since there is no law against making sure your opposing party can’t vote…and they cite ole Scalia saying that there is no right to vote in the constitution….I am just stunned by the stupidity of these folks…can’t they see that by filing this brief, they have opened themselves up to so much legal action that the state AG will have no time for anything else…hmmmm…maybe that’s a good thing….and these are the folks that keep waving the constitution around like a flag….big, big, stupid…geez…

How low can they go?
Well…every time I think that the repubs can’t sink any lower than candidates like Issa (the high school dropout/car thief/ arsonist) or Louie Gohmert (just plain nuts), they surprise me with digging the hole even deeper…and this time it is Louisiana that is holding the shovel…the news just made me laugh so hard that I really had to comment on it…their latest brainstorm for a candidate for congress from swampland is one of the stars of “Duck dynasty”, the A&E show about the duck call business run by the Robertsons…now, this guy may be successful due in no small part to the tv show, but is he qualified to…oh, that’s right…tea party folks are proud they are not qualified to be in congress and have no need to compromise or represent anyone..just their lame brained ideas of how the country works. Just another of the haters on the right who think that everyone should be able to inherit a business from their daddy and that makes them better than the rest of us….keep it up repubs…run them idiots…geez…
The stupid is even deeper than I thought..
Well…if you’ve seen any of these over the past few years, you know that at times I rail against the abject stupidity of many of those elected officials on the repub side…and, I thought I’d heard it all with the yahoo named Yoho from Florida who just knows that Obamacare is racist since it imposes a tax on tanning beds and whites are the only ones that use them…but, today we have ole Dana Rohrabacher from California who has just made the stupid pool quite a bit deeper with his comments at a town hall meeting this weekend…well…ole Dana started it up with one of the classics, that the “libruls” are conspiring with the UN using global warming to form a world government that will tell us what to drive, eat, and how to power the society…and he actually said this out loud in front of people at the meeting…and the sick thing is that the entire crowd cheered him…and then he went on to say that we could end greenhouse gas emissions if we just clear cut all of the rainforests…since this idiot doesn’t understand that plants take in CO2 and put out oxygen as part of their respiration….every time I think that the repubs can’t get much more stupid…another one pops his head out of the ground and ups the ante…what a bunch of maroons…geez…
Tea Party stupidity…
Well….If this wasn’t so sad, I’d just laugh and shake my head….the other day, one of the tea party idiots was at a town hall meeting and went on and on trying to justify his votes to cut over 40 billion dollars out of the food stamp program…since he thinks almost all of the people that use them are committing fraud…and his reason for thinking this way? He was in line at the grocery store (which I just don’t believe) and saw two people using food stamps that weren’t fat..in fact he went on and on about how fit they looked and they couldn’t be poor enough if they were fit since everyone knows that poor people are fat….never mind that the occurrence of fraud in the program is down below 1%….but the one thing you can count on with the tea partiers is that they never let facts get in the way of their prejudices….I am still amazed how such stupid people can get elected…geez…
More birther crap…
Well…just a short one on the stupidity that seems to be a badge of honor amongst repubs these days…and it didn’t used to be that way…I wonder why these ignorant bastards keep getting elected? Just yesterday, a repub rep from Oklahoma commented during a town meeting that he felt that there still should be a congressional investigation into Obama’s birth, birth certificate, etc. but thinks it may be too late now. I can’t keep saying this enough…there has never been a question that Obama’s mother is a US citizen and that makes Obama a “natural born citizen” of the US and makes him eligible to be president…no birth certificate needed…and just the other day, ole Ted Cruz said that he was eligible to be president even though he was born in Canada…and his reasoning? That his mother was a US citizen so that makes him one, too….I really want to go to one of these town hall meetings and have these idiots that so revere the constitution actually read it…geez…
Stupidity=Republicans…
Well…a couple of thing have come up over the past few days that just made me laugh about how stupid the republicans have become…or still are? First, we have the idiot congressman from Florida name Yoho that came out the other day to proudly say he has told ole Boehner that he thinks the 10% tax on tanning beds that is included in the law is racist against whites since “no dark-skinned people” use them…yeah, not making this up, again…and then he goes on and on about how terrible the rest of the ACA is and how he will vote to repeal it…yada, yada…statements that are just dripping with stupidity since repeal is never going to happen. Then, we have a rep from NC at a town meeting the other day boasting about how many times he has voted to repeal the ACA when his constituents asked him why he wanted to make sure that they will never be able to afford insurance and never be covered for pre-existing conditions…and then asked what he would replace the ACA with…and, of course, the idiot couldn’t answer since they really don’t care if people like me can afford insurance or not…they have theirs and anyone else can go to hell….geez…
Another reason to hate the NSA spying…
Well…if it wasn’t bad enough that the NSA is spying on Americans looking for terrorists, it was just revealed the other day that the DEA is using the same program to look for drug dealers…but that is not the worst part….the worst part is that the DEA is using this information as the core to fake cases against these people…how it works is that the DEA finds a nugget that someone is smuggling or selling drugs and then builds a fake case to make it look like they actually did the work of building a real case…lying to prosecutors, defense lawyers, and judges to make the fake case look real…and they even have official procedures on how to do it. Never mind that this crap violates many parts of the constitution, it also erodes the justice system that is supposed to protect people from this kind of crap…..if there is anything that should make people stand up and rebel against government nonsense, this should be it…anyone taking part in this crap should be arrested and prosecuted….right now….geez…
The 40th time is the charm?
Well…never in my lifetime have I seen a political party that isn’t; like the repubs are now, evidenced by the 40th vote, yep that’s right, 40th vote to repeal the ACA. When are these idiots going to get thrown out of congress for wasting the time and money of the American people? Over on the senate side, you have the same damn thing going on with Canadian Cruz vowing to shut down the government if the ACA is not defunded as part of the debt ceiling deal….he is willing to crash the entire world economy just to prevent some people, like me, from being able to get affordable health insurance, and to prevent people with pre-existing conditions from ever being able to be insured…in what twisted vision of America is that good for the people? I have just had enough of the tea partiers trying to shove their fascistic view of life on the sane ones here who believe that we need government to protect us from the Ayn Randian version of capitalism that they love so much….and the bitch of the whole thing is that the people who will benefit from the ACA continue to vote against their own interests…and for these bat shit crazy repubs…geez…
Still don’t understand it…
Well…I still don’t understand the adamant refusals to help Detroit out of it’s financial difficulties in any way…starting with, of course, repub senators, but then all the way up to Obama…what makes Detroit different than the bailouts that are regularly given for natural disasters? If the country can afford to give 60 billion dollars for repairs after Sandy, why can’t we afford a few billion to help the transition in Detroit? I contend that what has happened in Detroit is just a slow motion natural disaster that has unfolded over a few decades but it is no less devastating than a hurricane…and the people there deserve no less support than Florida get every year during hurricane season. What the hell is wrong with us as a people if we can’t help our fellow citizens in their time of need….isn’t Detroit as deserving as Iraq, or Israel, or any other country that we give foreign aid to? I just hope that we can smarten up and help…geez…
Schuette is still an idiot…
Well…with the bankruptcy filing in the city of Detroit, I was extremely surprised to hear that our AG, Bill Schuette, has come out to say that the state will defend the public sector pensions of the retirees of the city. Must have been a really hard thing for this tea party idiot to say since he normally picks and chooses which laws to enforce and almost always lets his personal beliefs dictate what those laws are. The thing is, though, the courts always slap him down and tell him he is wrong, and that is a good thing….and, I am going to make a prediction in this case that his true colors and his hatred of unions and the middle class will shine through….here’s what I predict: he will present a half-hearted defense of these constitutionally protected pensions; making sure that he he screws it up just enough so that the courts will slap him down, again…then, he will call a press conference to say that it’s not his fault…that it is the big, bad federal government that is taking the pensions and he will then go on to rail about socialism, Obamacare, and the fascist in the White House…typical tea party talking points and he will get what he wants…more talking points on how bad unions are since they can’t protect your pensions so you shouldn’t trust them or join them….I may be giving him too much credit for having the smarts to pull this off but with their drive to eliminate any power for the middle class, I would not be surprised….geez…
