Well….it’s another day of being so damn tired I can barely stand it and I’m not sure what is going on….okay…it’s from not eating enough but could be from not sleeping…aargh…I do want to say a few words about the elections yesterday but the only one that really meant anything was the gov of Virgina that we won…and got rid of the crazy that was running on their side…but, he will get a cushy, million dollar lobbying job in Washington or will work for the Heritage foundation or some other right wing scam operation that does nothing but grift from the idiots on the right….oh, the other stuff….not sure what that is….it just seemed like a good title…more later….maybe…

Election day…
Well…had a nice ride and got my winter wheels painted, so now it’s time for a few thoughts about today’s election…nothing going on out here in Gaines township so I really don’t have to vote…but, there are some interesting things going on across the country especially in Virginia where it looks like we will pick up the governorship and most of the upper offices there…saying goodbye to the idiot Cuccinelli who is the worst of the tea party idiots…well…that’s not true, he’s pretty close but the gop’s lieut gov is even worse…so good riddance to these women hating, gay bashing idiots….one bad thing today is that ole Christie will likely keep his job in New Jersey…even after having a screaming fight with a teacher where he said she basically didn’t deserve to be on the earth…we progressives have to get rid of people like Christie…a very, very good liar who has taken in the people of NJ…he is no different that the rest of the righties…even going so far as to sue to keep gays from having equal rights…it should be interesting later today when the polls close…
Boehner is still an idiot…
Well…with the imminent passage of ENDA (outlawing employment discrimination against gays) in the Senate, we had ole Boehner coming out with a statement that he won’t even let the bill come up to a vote since his “gut feel” is that it is not necessary…this, after he also thinks that there are already laws against this discrimination, and that it will cost business money, yada, yada…the normal fruit salad of crap that comes out of every repubs mouth whenever groups they don’t like are protected from them…and yes, in most states in this country, you can be fired for just being gay, John….just the same crap that ole McCain came out with the other day and it still makes no sense…oh, yeah, it does now…anything that would keep the business overlords from having absolute power over the country is to be stalled and resisted….after all, they are the ones calling the shots in this country….you and I sure aren’t….what a bunch of crap….geez…
Last one for the month…finally
Well…this has been a long month doing these but I have started to regain my political outrage and that has led to finally getting back in the political arena…and there is one big thing that is going to happen in the next week or so that will be worth watching…the repubs have again broken their promise (big surprise) to not filibuster presidential appointees, especially judges, so it looks like support is building to kill the filibuster and get rid of the obstructionism that is the hallmark of the modern repubs…they have nothing that the country wants to hear anymore so all they can do is try to sabotage government, take away rights, and make sure that people they don’t like don’t have any….so, I say to Harry Reid and the rest of the dems in the senate…nuke ’em…they deserve it…and the country will certainly support getting things done….geez…
Is John McCain really this ignorant?
Well…forgot to do this one yesterday when it was fresh in my mind so I thought I’d follow up today and just say how incredulous I am…okay, maybe not, that John McCain is so ignorant on a piece of legislation that is coming up for a vote in the senate…the legislation is the Employment Non-discrimination Act or ENDA which would just add sexual orientation to the list of things you can’t discriminate against in the workplace…just like race, color, ethnicity, and sex are now….and the reason that this is so sorely needed is that in most states, you can still be fired by your employer if you come out as gay…yep, in this day and age you can still be fired for being gay….so this bill just adds this to the protections afforded everyone else…and ole John’s objections include that it can lead to reverse discrimination, quotas, and all of the other boogeymen that the right uses when they are looking for cover for their hate…I guess he didn’t even read the bill since it specifically states that, under the law, quotas of any sort are illegal….but, that’s not new from ole John…I guess he is just another of the right who are willfully ignorant and proud of it….read the bill before you go on the talk shows and show your ignorance to the country…geez…
Suzanne Summers is a “medical expert”?
Well…got another nice laugh on how far the Wall Street Journal has fallen since ole Rupert Murdoch took control of it a few years back by the events this week where they named the “Threes Company” star a medical expert for its editorial page. Yep, a hack actor who has spent the last twenty years hawking informercial crap to the American people is now qualified to critique Obamacare…what’s next? A puppy to critique the state of veterinary care in the US? This idiot goes on in her screed that healthcare in Canada is better for pets than it is for people…using fake “facts” about how long you have to wait and that doctors are becoming vets since they can make more money and that Obamacare is bad for the elderly here in the US even though they are covered under Medicare and have nothing to do with the ACA. Then she goes on to misquote both Lenin and Churchill (reading off one of the many right wing websites that have the quotes wrong) trying to make the point that healthcare is the path to controlling everyone. What a piece of crap the entire article is…who wants to listen to an idiot who thinks that when a woman goes through menopause, it is a signal for the body to create cancers and kill itself unless you buy the hormone supplements she is shilling….geez…
Dick Cheney really is crazy…
Well…my jaw is dropping after just reading an article about an interview that ole Dick did the other day pushing a new book…I don’t know why he needs the money…especially after all of the loot he stole along with Halliburton…but, that’s not what this is about…it is about his absolute lack of irony since, when he was pushing the Iraq war, it was all about he just KNEW there were weapons of mass destruction there so that was the reason for attacking Iraq…now, in this new interview, he has morphed that into we were justified going into Iraq since it proved they didn’t have WMD…what a hypocritical lying piece of crap….this idiot war criminal should be in the dock at the Hague answering for his crimes…over a half million Iraqis dead and 1.8 trillion of yours and my money wasted there….why does anyone still listen to this idiot who has been wrong, wrong, wrong about everything in his whole career…I guess it’s the old boy network at work…you never need to succeed…just cash the checks an move on to the next scam…geez…
Some good news…in politics anyway…
Well…there have been some signs starting to appear that are pointing to what many of us have been hoping for for a long time now….that the crazy assed repubs are starting to pay for that craziness….the latest place this has come to light is in
Virginia where the repubs have been in control of the entire government for a few years now and have done what these asses have done everywhere else…go after women’s rights, vilify gay people, and try to give the states away to their corporate masters. But, it appears that there are enough people in Virginia who are saying enough with this crap…the final polls for the election next week appear to say that the entire top of the ticket, from governor, lieut governor, attorney general and more are going to the dems….and that means no more vaginal ultrasounds or other nonsense from the legislature there…the repubs will still own both houses but there will be a significant erosion on their power…and, maybe the opportunity is there to take the whole state in two years…something that didn’t look possible even last year….keep at it dems…we can exterminate the crazy if we just turn out….geez….

Well…I have been laughing a little today about one of the features out on Kos where Kos goes out to the right wing echo chamber and finds the craziest ideas and people out there…and this week was a special one since there seems to be a surge in people hating us over at Kos since we are starting to win some of the political battles that are being fought…and what I find the funniest thing are the comments that we are violent socialist, totalitarians that are the worst people who have ever lived on the earth because we care for other people, want healthcare, and want the tea party to go back under the rock they crawled from….and then the righties that are posting invariably say they are coming with their guns and we’d better watch out…and much other violent imagery…..so who are the violent ones? I’ve never seen anyone on Kos say anything but that we need to continue to win elections…and the right thinks that is violent? I think these idiots are really, really, confused, since they equate losing elections to coups, government takeovers, and a loss of freedom….just a big ole bag of stupid over there on the right…geez…
Hypocrisy seems to be the theme of the day…Ted Cruz…
Well….with all of the efforts by ole Ted to try to make sure no one in the middle class or working poor get any subsidies to help make their healthcare affordable…we have this delicious little tidbit about where he gets his healthcare….turns out he is covered by his wife’s policy at Goldman Sachs where she is a managing director making over 10 million dollars a year…and, since her policy that is conservatively estimated to be worth over 20 thousand dollars a year is considered part of her compensation, she doesn’t have to pay the estimated 8,500 in taxes it would cost if it was compensation….so in effect, they are getting a tax credit or subsidy of over 8,500 dollars a year to help them purchase their health insurance. I find it so damn hypocritical that ole Ted spends all of his time trying to eliminate Obamacare and it’s subsidies to the little guy while he and his family wallow in the largess of tax breaks for their healthcare…and I bet she even has her income treated like ole Mitt’s as carried interest and pays only 8-10% while the rest of us pay up to 30%. Typical hypocrisy that is rampant from all of the repubs these days…geez…
