Well…you know that I’ve talked about the continuing lack of respect for womens rights that oozes from the repubs daily from the 967 laws that have been introduced in repub controlled legislatures to limit womens access to abortion and even to contraception over the past year…and, with these idiots, you knew there would be new attacks. The latest is the hand wringing over the fact that some married women make more money than their husbands and the repubs are blaming this fact for all of the ills in society and they think this is the reason that men are being marginalized…if they are. My thoughts are that, yeah, on the right a woman earning more than a man is a huge problem…on the left, not so much. But, the whole thing comes down to the control that men on the right think they should have over the women in their lives and they are threatened that if they continue to be the mistreating assholes they are, the woman in their life that has the means to kick him to curb, will. It’s just about fear of change that these guys can’t take….it’s one thing that I taught my children over the years is that men and women are equal…period…no discussion on that point..just wish the idiot repubs would do the same…geez…
June 1st
Well…running late today, again, have been trying to get the squeak out of the bike again and it is driving me nuts…slept okay but woke up to find some thing really weird… the sunburn on my head has swelled up my forehead and tightened up the skin so much that my normal wrinkles are gone…looks kind of weird but and I hope it will go down as the damage is repaired…my feet are still huge, too, and I am having to wear my loosest fitting shoes just to have something to wear…not much to do today…going to get the bike ride in right now and then come back here and cook and clean…and, there are races on today so the boredom shouldn’t be too bad…
I almost forgot…
Well…just got back from pool and just hanging out and remembered that I do need to do one more for today to make the goal for the month…was thinking I could make it up tomorrow….strange….one of the things I find predictable is the supposedly Christian churches in the south that are abandoning their boy scout troops since the organization has said they will accept gay boys into the program…what the hell is wrong with these people? I find it just so abhorrent that these people hide behind the bible to protect their bigotry…so, I say good riddance to these narrow minded idiots, there will be plenty of other organizations that will step up and sponsor these groups and taking some of the overt Christianity out of the scouts will make it a better organization and more accepting to all faiths. Okay…that’s it for the month….
May 31st
Well…it was a weird day yesterday…kind of…my oldest brother just stopped by out of the blue and we stood outside and gabbed for a couple of hours…didn’t think anything of it but when I came in I was so sunburned on my head and feet that I have been bathing in aloe…and my feet have swelled up so much that I can barely get them in my loosest pair of shoes…oh, well…my fault…waiting for the blisters to form it’s that bad….other than that, it was just a normal day…I did make some cash and went out for breakfast which is really weird for me, too…feeling a little worn out today but I hope the coffee helps…might even skip the bike ride today to heal up but probably not…it’s the only thing that keeps my guilt from being overwhelming and it normally makes me feel better…I do have to try to find the squeak again…aargh….
What’s with all the gun threats?
Well…I’m not sure why this is happening, but I think it may be the rise of the tea party idiots out there and their limited ability to think of anything but being bullies. I am startled to read of all of the gun threats by the tea partiers from the governor of Maine to this nut that is organizing the armed march on Washington DC….and I am really getting tired of these bullies using the protections of the 2nd amendment to get their way outside the normal processes that make democracies work. First, the governor of Maine was smacked down by the legislature there when he tried to run over the house processes and intrude on a legislative meeting that he was not invited to…the one thing he doesn’t understand is that being governor is not being king…you just don’t get to do whatever you want and the dems in legislature were all to happy to make him follow the rules. So, what does this tea party idiot do? He starts to scream that his first amendment rights are being violated since they won’t let him intrude into their meeting and bully everyone there and then says “it looks like we’ll have to go home, roll up our sleeves and get our guns”, threatening that if he doesn’t get his way he will start shooting people that don’t agree with him. Then we have the Russian tea party idiot that is organizing the armed march on DC who, when told by the DC chief of police that they will be arrested if they show up in DC armed, has a new idea…to get groups of armed people to head to all of the state legislatures and try to force them to disband the US…yep, you heard it this guy now wants to commit treason…what I think the feds should do is go find this idiot and lock him up before he really does shoot someone…it is a crime to threaten the safety of the US after all…and he has already committed a felony by proposing this nonsense…it’s just the same old thing…bullies that think they don’t need to follow the law or any rules…that’s the modern repub party in a nutshell…geez…

Well…running early this morning since I have to meet up with someone at 8….bad night last night with the Wings losing but I didn’t watch it so it was less painful….slept okay but feel like crap today and I think the allergies are doing part of it….okay…not feeling this right now so I am going to stop and come back later…
Okay…I’m back..it has been a busy day with the breakfast meet up and then my brother stopped over and we stood outside and gabbed for a couple of hours…got sunburned like a frickin lobster…need to get the aloe out so it doesn’t peel….this is the first time I’ve stood still all day and it’s after two….okay…need the aloe and some more water…long, hot ride today….still thirsty…
Dead birds and tiny bunnies…
Well…I’m one behind for the month so I thought I’d do one on the weirdness out on the trail today…yep, cheating like crazy but this is my site so I get to do whatever I want..on the trail today, I saw something that I thought was kind of weird…there were 6 dead baby birds on the trail…I mean so young that they didn’t even have feathers yet…but the strangest thing is that they were not near any tree that held a nest they had fallen out of….like they were just dropped from the sky….then, there is the just born crop of tiny bunnies who have not developed any sense yet and were just shooting all over the trail…some of them were even just sitting in the middle of the trail watching me as I went by…..it’s probably good that they have so many of them, these were so stupid that their lives will be short….

Well…this pretty average day has just gotten so much better with the announcement that the craziest house member that the US has ever seen, Michelle Bachmann, is not going to run again in 2014…and immediately the average intelligence of the House just went up by 30 points. She ran out the normal platitudes on why except the tired old “to spend more time with my family” but we all know that she took a look at the easy, rich life that sister Sarah got from the right when she became the half-governor and wanted to slop at that trough before she gets out crazied by the new crop of even crazier righties. I could list a list of the stupidity that has spewed from this idiot but google does a much better job at it so just google it and see…the last thing I have to say is “ding dong, the witch is dead”…good riddance…geez…
May 29th
Well…running late again today and I know the cause today, stayed up late watching a live concert by John Fogerty and didn’t get to bed until 1:30…and was back up at 6:30 or so…hmmmm…so why am I late? I did go to Meijers to get some stuff I needed…maybe that’s it? Who knows? I did sleep okay but I’m still tired as heck so maybe a nap later…did go out for a couple with G and she was in a mood to go so maybe that’s it….The wings play a game 7 tonight but I’m not going out to watch…it’s just no fun watching with a bunch of strangers and spending money to do it….it was a wet day out on the bike yesterday and I came back mudded from head to toe…going to need to do some maint on the bike since the dirt has made the shifter stick between gears and that is just annoying…I need to work out and get back on the bike so I should get going…more later…
Just can’t get started…
Well….over the past couple of weeks, I have had a serious problem with getting my brain working well enough to put these together with the ease that I am used to…can’t work up the outrage necessary to go on a rant and that used to really work for me…one thing that has been really irritating me me is the conduct of the justice department under Holder…where he has no problem going after medical marijuana patients and the dispensaries in many states…people who are doing no harm…but then leaves the bankers who crashed the economy alone…along with the thugs from GW’s administration who clearly admitted they broke the law and committed multiple felonies but not one of them has even been investigated. This nonsense continued to the hacker that killed himself when the DOJ came after him and hounded him with the flimsiest of cases…what the hell is wrong with these guys? As long as the continue to give the real crooks free passes, they are teaching them that they are above the law and when normal people continue to be targeted while obeying state law, it corrodes the rule of law and contributes to the widespread feelings that the government is out of control…it’s not, but things do need to change…but I won’t believe it until I see one of the banksters doing the perp walk…geez…
