Well…I know that some of us…or all of us know some lawyers that are not the brightest people in the room…but we really do have a new winner for the most stupid person in the world. An Arizona lawyer…Kory Langhofer, proposes that we let Scalia vote on pending cases even though he’s dead…and his reasoning is that everyone knows how he would vote on the cases and he started hearing them, so just let John Roberts have two votes on all these cases….nevermind that the constitution says that appointments to the court are for a lifetime term…not for a lifetime and a few months after death…now, I have heard a lot of stupid stuff come out of Arizona over the years but this one wins for the burning hunk of stupidity it is…man, where do they get these guys? geez…

Well…I am smiling a little today after seeing that JEB! has dropped out of the race for the repub nomination…finally, this country is coming to it’s senses and making sure there will not be another Bush in the WH…and I grin a little to see that he has spent over 150 million dollars to get to 8 percent of the vote….now that leaves the field full of idiots and crazies…not that it wasn’t before…all I have to say is don’t let the door hit you in the ass on your way out…geez…
February 22nd
Well…..have lost the cursor here so I have to restart the computer…okay…back now….it was an okay day yesterday but I didn’t get much done….just kind vegged it out all day and I am a little guilty about that but I’ll live through it…slept okay and feel a little slow today so I am hoping the coffee starts to work soon….the one good thing is my back doesn’t hurt at all today so it looks like this pain episode is over…finally….took a couple of months but I am happy that it didn’t end up permanent….the bike ride yesterday was brutal with just no energy in my legs and I am hoping I got enough fuel in yesterday so that won’t happen again today…but, I’m not sure about that….it will be a full thermasuit day on the bike since it is back to being cold again but I’m okay with that…it is February in Michigan after all….not much to do today….and that is the truth…might run an errand but that will be about it…more later…
February 21st
Well…it was a pretty good day yesterday…how many times have you heard me say that? Had a three hour lunch with T that I am still smiling about and had the chance to put the top down on the car and do some cruising around to get a few things done…even got sunburned on my face that I have had to use aloe on but today looks a lot colder so it will be full thermasuit on the bike today….slept okay last night but no dreams and that is normal….my back is not hurting at all today so that is a plus but the allergies are flaring again and that is not fun this early in the year…didn’t get a lot done other than lunch yesterday but that is okay…will try to get some cleaning done today since this place needs it…not much to do today…going to just veg it out some and clean a little…and Daytona is on later so that will be the first napcar race of the year and I will nap some during it…more later….
February 20th
Well…it was an okay day yesterday but no pool…so I didn’t win or lose….slept okay last night but woke up without my earplugs so I must have tossed and turned like crazy…oh, and I made some cash yesterday, too, so that was cool….I did get a bike ride in before the wind got crazy but it was still blowing around 25 when I went out…that made the southbound legs just brutal and I hope today will be better…it looks like it’s blowing about 15 or so so it will be better when I go out in a few minutes….I did get out to have a couple with K and J last night and that was a nice surprise….but, it gave me a head start that I am paying for today….didn’t win the mega last night so I am disappointed in that…but, no one else did either so I still have hope….not much to do today…might have lunch with T but that is in pencil so I might not..then back here for the race this aft and maybe some cleaning but probably not….more later…
These guys are just the worst…
Well…no pool today so I thought I’d come back here and do another one of these…and I did find a topic the really needs to be addressed..that this crop of repubs are just the worst people in the world. We start with Ted Cruz who made the statement the other day that if he is elected, he will sell off or give all of the national parks and land owned by the federal government back to the states to do with what they please….and in repub controlled states, you know what that means…oil drilling in Yellowstone or strip mining in Yosemite. The heritage of Teddy Roosevelt and the American people be damned if there is profit to be made for the 1%. Then we had ole Marco Rubio show his repub core when he said that any aliens here and legal under the DREAM act, kids that were brought here when they were children, will be deported on day one…never mind that this will tear families apart and cause economic distress for his owners, this son of immigrants will shut the door on anyone else getting what he had…a chance to contribute to this great country…well…Marco hasn’t contributed anything but hate and we don’t need more of that. Then, last of all, we have the senate repubs now sending out fundraising letters touting their obstruction and not doing their jobs in holding hearings on a new supreme court justice…in what world is it a badge of honor to not do your job? Just the worst people….but that makes the choice this fall even more clear…folks that want the country to be better…and these folks that do nothing but hate…geez…

Well….it was an okay day yesterday and I made some cash so that was cool…slept okay and had some weird dreams that had T in them and that doesn’t happen very often….my back feels okay today but my allergies have gone overboard and I’m coughing again and that is not fun…I did get out to have a couple with G and there were no arguments so that was cool, too…but that really wore me out and I am feeling it today….feel a little slow this morning so the bike ride will have to wait until after I run an errand at 10….it looks like it will be warm enough to put the top down on the way out to shoot pool today if it’s not raining and I am looking forward to that….not much to do today…pool, of course, and I am making a little cash this morning with my errand…and I’m sure I won’t do anything when I get back here so that will have to wait until tomorrow…more later….
Trump vs. the Pope….
Well….I have been laughing quite a bit today with the meltdown ole Donald has had with some comment the Pope made in after his trip to Mexico this past week. When asked if Trump was a christian, the Pope said no…that if he only wants to build walls instead of bridges, he is not a christian….and that set off the Donald as to be expected and it has been gorgeous to watch…with the Donald saying that when ISIS attacks the Vatican, the pope would want to have Trump as president since he would kill them all….now, I’m not sure about you, but this could be Trump’s “jump the shark” moment…after all, how do you expect Catholic votes when you continue to insult the Pope? This is just delicious…pass the popcorn….
February 18th
Well…it was an okay day yesterday and I made some cash so that was cool…and, I got a 6 mile bike ride in but had to stop when I got the trails in the woods that were just too icy to ride on…slept okay last night and I was good…again…so I feel pretty good today and will accomplish a lot….I hope….had to do some late night laundry last night when I found my favorite travel bag had gotten a case of the molds and I wanted to see if it could be recovered…worked out okay but I forgot I had tissues in one of the pockets that left it coated in a shredded mess…another wash and it was okay…I did get to see the latest “Mission Impossible” movie last night and it was pretty good….and my son added a feature to his server that lets me order any movie or tv show I want…that could get dangerous and use a few more terabytes of memory…have to try to restrain myself…not much to do today…that’s not true…already have the grocery run in and now I have to get a bunch of stuff done before Man U comes on at 1…then out with G for a couple later and then races and Wings on tonight….gonna need a rest tomorrow morning….more later…
Spin Snyder, spin….
Well…with every revelation and every excuse that ole Snyder makes for his and his cronies screwups with the Flint water crisis, and every deflection, he is looking more and more like the common repub that can’t do anything right…and will do everything in his power to try to prove that it wasn’t his fault. The latest goes something like this…the feds screwed up since they didn’t catch us poisoning the people of Flint to save a hundred bucks a day…and since they didn’t catch us and stop us, it’s not our fault that we did hundreds of million of dollars of damage to Flint. That is the line he has been feeding the lapdog press over the past few days and they are just eating it up….not one of them asking why the buck doesn’t stop at the governor’s desk since they scream “states rights” all day every day and always want the feds to stay out of their efficient running of their state…no matter that they killed people and have doomed thousands of children to a life of hardship and learning disabilities. This is the repub way folks…screw up and blame anyone but themselves…geez…
