Well…running early today and I’m not sure why…slept okay last night and even had a few dreams that I don’t remember…and they were the first in a long time…darn….it wasn’t a bad day yesterday and today will be okay, too with having lunch with T and then out for pool…there will be a gap between them so I think I’ll just take a little drive and enjoy a top down cruise for a while….if it’s not raining…I do need to wash the car this morning since the pollen on it is quite thick….not going to do a lot else today…just the normal Friday stuff…will have to clean tomorrow and Sunday but that’s okay…there’s a heat wave coming and I will be able to run the air with no guilt….more later….

The Comey hearing….
Well….watched the majority of the Comey hearing today and came away with a couple of things…the first is that the repubs are still trying to protect trump any way they can but it didn’t work so well in this hearing…it was clear that the idiot trump committed obstruction of justice in trying to get Comey to drop the Flynn investigation and then firing him when he didn’t…and it was also clear that Pence and Session have been lying their asses of about heir roles in the collusion with Russia…but the big takeaway was when Comey called trump a liar…and that he made notes of their meetings since he couldn’t be trusted to tell the truth…..and do you know what Paul Ryan’s excuse for trump’s idiocy is…that trump is just inexperienced and didn’t know he was breaking the law….man, the lengths the repubs will go to to protect their power….they all need to go…impeach….
June 8th
Well…running a little late today with doing the grocery run and then reading a real newspaper….didn’t get a lot done yesterday but trying to stay in shape and the bike ride was a good one….I am going to try some ibuprofen this morning since I can feel the pain in my forearms this morning….but still no back pain and I am still confused about that…it should be hurting…guess I shouldn’t bitch too much….I didn’t win the powerball last night but no one else did either so it is over 400 mill for sat….will have to come up with 6 dollars for that one…but I did win 4 dollars so I guess it’s only 2 dollars that I need….not much to do today…I do need to get on the bike early today since I am going to watch Comey’s testimony at 10…nothing is going to happen so maybe I won’t…just the live commentary on Kos…more later….
A couple of things…
Well…had a pleasant surprise today when my oldest brother called to ask me if I wanted buy his mountain bike since he is unable to ride it anymore with a knee replacement he had 18 months ago…if I wasn’t so broke I would have considered it since it is a nice one…and then we talked for about an hour and that was pretty cool…not sure what is going on but I’ve talked to two out of three of my brothers in the last two weeks…and it had been years since I had to talked to them….okay…so it was only one thing…don’t want to pollute this one with talk of politics…I’ll do a separate one on that…
Even Kansas has had enough….
Well…there was finally an interesting article on the debacle that is Kansas’s financial picture and it is not pretty…the “experiment” there of cutting taxes hoping for revenue to rise has found to be the sham that it always was…with deficits as far as the eye can see even after cutting almost every service and not funding the schools there. Tax cuts for the rich only decimated their economy…didn’t make it grow like the idiot Brownback said it would (the repub orthodoxy that the repubs want to try nationally) but essentially killed the economy. But, earlier this week, the dems and some republicans came to their senses and raised taxes to cover the shortfall and fully fund the services that have been axed by the repubs previously…and they even overrode Brownback’s veto of of the previous bill rescinding the tax cuts. So, maybe the repubs in Kansas will set the tone for reality in the national budget…that tax cuts for the rich do not spur growth and will only harm the country…..maybe sanity can take hold outside of Kansas?
Keep a cell open for Newt and Rudy….
Well….with the idiot trump and his cronies freaking out about Comey’s testimony tomorrow, another voice is weighing in to try to obstruct the testimony and discredit it before it happens. A super pac that is run by Rudy Giuliani and Newt Gingrich is running ads both online and on radio and tv attacking Comey and and his personality…along with his trustworthiness….now, to me, this is witness tampering at it’s worse…using character assassination to try to obstruct the investigation into trump and his obvious collusion with Russia before and during the election….this kind of thing has never happened in the US before and if it was done in any trial in any court across this country, these two idiots would be hauled before the court and charged….if our system still works, these two should be in court explaining themselves tomorrow…impeach…
June 7th
Well….running early today and I think this may be the new normal since I seem to be up by 6 every morning…feel okay today and don’t hurt too much so I’ll take that…my back has been okay for two days now and that is a surprise with how much it has been bugging me lately….I did get some work done yesterday and I had to…the cobwebs were everywhere and that is a creepy feeling when you wake up and walk out of your bedroom and get one across the face…and I cleaned the bike pad and carpet from bike stains so I feel okay about that…need to do more today and the kitchen is the target…but not yest…have just started the coffee and need to have a couple of cups to get me moving…more later….
Don’t get too excited by Comey…
Well…there is so much hype building about Thursday’s Comey testimony to the senate, I think it’s time to throttle that back a little…I’m pretty sure that there are not going to be any bombshells in the testimony given that Comey is not going to want to screw up the investigation for Mueller by saying anything that may interfere with that investigation…I think it will be more that “yes he met with the idiot trump” but there will be not much else in it…he will let Mueller build the case that he knows is there for obstruction of justice. On that note, we have trump having Tom Cotton and Marco Rubio to the WH tonight to coordinate the obstruction….since Cotton and Rubio are going to be two senators that are going to be asking Comey questions Thursday…anyone want to bet that all of their questions are going to be about the bad, bad leaks that are the real problem? One thing to watch for is the threat that the idiot trump made to live tweet Comey’s testimony to try to call him a liar, I guess….that could be fun to see….stay tuned….impeach…
The 110 billion dollar deal that wasn’t…
Well…as the liar in chief and village idiot trump embarrassed us with his tour of Europe last week, he shot his big mouth off saying that he had brokered a deal to sell 110 billion dollars in weapons to Saudi Arabia…and it is the greatest, bigliest deal ever….but, there is one little problem with that…there is no deal…there are no contracts, there is no senate approval…no nothing…in fact this great deal is just agreements to start talking about maybe selling some new weapons to the Saudis…and all of it was started under the Obama administration…you miss him yet? So, as always, trump lied…and one good thing is that the media is starting to call this crap what it is…lies, lies, and more lies….and the world is starting to get it too, with the UK and Germany saying that they can’t trust a word that trump says so they are not going to pay any attention to him….understand that…the rest of the world has trump’s number and know that is useless to listen to anything he says…really making America great again….impeach…
June 6th
Well….running a little early today and it’s because I’ve been up since 5:30…another night of crappy sleep and I am feeling it right now….didn’t get a lot done yesterday since I didn’t feel that great most of the day and I’m not sure why…had no energy and a cough but the cough is gone today…so far…so I’m not sure what the heck is happening….maybe not eating enough again? Just don’t feel like it…but I will try to do better today…I am going to get the motivation to clean some today after the workout and bike….but I need more coffee and to work out the kinks first….it’s a bitch being creaky in the mornings….more later…..
