Well…haven’t been watching much news lately, preferring to read print instead but last night I turned on Rachel since there was nothing good on tv and, without cocktails, I get bored pretty easily. It was an interesting show comparing what crimes Nixon was impeached for to what the idiot trump has been doing since he was installed. The conclusion was that trump is much, much worse…attempting to obstruct justice on an almost hourly basis and using the same tactics as Nixon did to subvert the Justice Department. One of the details of obstruction, and written right into the law, is dangling a pardon in front of people who are essential to the investigation into crimes committed by the president…something that idiot boy does on a daily basis and especially in regard to Paul Manafort. With it being revealed that Manfort blew up his plea agreement with Mueller by lying to and spying on Mueller and his investigation, I can see trump sitting in the WH thinking he is the most clever person in the world by getting Manafort to do that…but, Mueller is playing eleventy dimension chess while trump is playing checkers….there was a reason that none of the past few days revelations came out until trump had submitted his answers to Mueller’s questions…Mueller knew that Manafort was spying and lying and he knew that with the coordination between trump’s and Manfort’s lawyers, he had the evidence that trump was committing perjury in those answers…this was all because trump is an idiot who thinks he is a genius and truly believed that he was smarter than Mueller…and everyone who has ever listened to trump knows that is a huge laugh. Today, the dominoes continued to tumble with the pleas of Michael Cohen to many more crimes that he did for trump…and, with 70 hours more testimony, Cohen has given Mueller what must be getting close to being the final nails in trump’s coffin. No matter what trump wishes for, the Mueller investigation is not winding down but speeding up and it looks like the timing of the release of the report should be just when the dems take charge of the House and can use the information to reveal just how big a bag of crooks that trump and his cronies are….and I just can’t wait…impeach…

Why?
Well…not going to talk about the WH idiot today…as I’ve said, I need to talk about other things to keep my sanity…what little there is of it…intact…over the past couple of months after going out to Kos a few times a day, I’ve noticed a couple of things…first, even with the pie fights that erupt sometimes over politics, there are a lot of really nice people that hang out there and the mood is normally pretty upbeat with the overriding theme that we can make the world a better place by staying true to progressive values, supporting a science and fact based world, and looking for and valuing the truth in our daily discourse. One thing that has alarmed me some is the almost daily fundraising that is necessary to keep our fellow members from homelessness and medical bankruptcy…and my question is why? In a country as rich as ours, why the hell can’t we take care of everyone’s health like almost every other first world country does? Just today, there was a couple at Kos that were running a fundraiser to get to the 1,500 dollars they needed for copays so that one of them could go for cancer treatment…let that sink in…there are many people who don’t have the money to save their lives because medical care is not covered…just like the woman here in GR who was turned away from a life saving heart transplant and told that she needed to go out and fund raise the 15K to get the process started before the hospital would do anything…that is just one the most sick things I have ever heard…we have trillions to give away to the rich and corporations but people who are months away from dying without proper medical care are told they are on their own and need to come up with cash before they can be saved. I lived that life for 16 years before Medicare kicked in…there was not one day that the small pain in my chest didn’t trigger dread in my mind that I was going to end up in the hospital and lose every thing I worked my entire life for just because health insurance was too expensive for me to afford…and the stress was there every day, wondering if there was some chronic disease like cancer or heart disease that was building up and just waiting to attack…something that could have been so much less serious if it would have been caught in the early stages by preventive care that I couldn’t afford. Why? I worked my whole life until our rotten society deemed that I was no longer worth a job just because I had gotten older…and corporations were allowed or even encouraged to discriminate against mature workers by chasing every dime of profit for the owner class while wages stagnated and everyone else kept going backwards. Again, I ask why? Even now, with moving to a Medicare advantage plan, I am still on the hook for 4,000 dollars a year if anything happens to put me in the hospital…right now, I can afford that, but that is almost 20% of what I get from SS every year and if that happens, I can see having to make some hard decisions like do I eat or pay my bills…and, no one should have to make those decisions after a lifetime of hard work and education….
Manafort is scared of the Russians…
Well…it appears that Paul Manafort is going to jail for the rest of his life by continuing to lie to Mueller in violation of his plea agreement…the first question that popped into my head was why did he make that decision…he knew that Mueller would know he was lying and that it would put him away for the rest of his life, so why is that the better choice? I think the pardon from idiot boy is still on the table…but I’m sure Mueller has that move covered by state charges that can be filed in NY or Virginia…but, I think there is more to it…I think Manafort is scared of the Russians…after all, there have been at least 5 murders of Putin’s opponents in just this past year, and he has shown that he can get to anyone, anywhere so maybe it’s self preservation on Manfort’s part…if he gets out of jail alive, he knows way too much about Russian oligarchs for Putin to allow him to roam free….or, maybe he’s just as dumb as the rest of the liars that infest the trump orbit and thought he could continue to lie and get away with it? Whatever the case, another idiot goes to jail…it won’t be the last….impeach…
Tired of all that job winning yet?
Well…hey, think back to last year when the idiot trump and his repub cronies were touting their tax cuts for the rich and corporations and that they just knew that giving away trillions of our dollars would “jumpstart” job growth here in the US…ha, ha, trumpsters…especially you in Ohio that still love the idiot boy…GM just announced that they are laying off almost 15,000 factory workers across the US and closing 5 assembly plants…and guess where one of those plants is? Yep, Lordstown, Ohio…where 1600 Ohioans are going to lose their jobs. Now, you know I hate it when anyone loses their job, but these folks voted for exactly that when they voted for trump and the repubs…and the tax law that has little noticed incentives for US companies to move jobs out of the US and had nothing in it that required companies to keep jobs in the US in return for the tax cut. Tired of all the winning yet trump voters? GM walked off with billions of dollars in tax giveaways paid for by you and me and this is how they respond…by continuing the repub driven war on workers here in the US…and the workers who voted for trump and the repubs have no one to blame but themselves…geez…
So now tear gassing women and children is okay?
Well…is there anyone more evil than trump? I guess that would be his enablers in the repub party who see nothing wrong with tear gassing women and children at the border who are trying to apply for asylum in accordance with international law, US law, and treaties that the US has signed…this makes what trump is doing a crime that can be prosecuted in the Hague and makes him subject to arrest any time he goes outside the country if the rest of the countries in the world live up to their obligations. What the hell is wrong with these folks? Who could order toddlers in diapers to be tear gassed when they are running for their lives from violence in their own countries? This is evil…pure damn evil that we need to put a stop to when we take control of congress…I am just frickin lived that these assholes are doing this in the name of my country….this is not a US value and the repubs need to be held accountable…impeach all of them…
Dumber than a box of rocks…
Well…not sure if you saw the meltdown that idiot boy went through when he was on a phone call to some random military unit…he didn’t visit them because he is too lazy and scared to do that…so he sat his fat ass in Mar a Lago and ranted to the military people he was talking to about the courts, the border, and for some strange reason, the type of catapults used on our aircraft carriers…yeah, it was even worse than that sounded…I mean, Thanksgiving day calls are supposed to be to ask how the troops are doing and if there is anything the president can do for them…but no, this dumber than a box of rocks president started out by saying he was most thankful for himself and then spent the entire call trying to get these military folks to agree with him about his rants…some thing that just isn’t done except by the most insecure person in the country…and the damn catapult thing again…as the Navy modernizes and build new carriers, the use of steam to power the catapults is being phased out in favor of digitally controlled electric catapults…and, as with most new systems, there have been some teething problems that are being worked out…but, sometime in the past, someone mentioned this to idiot boy and he immediately misunderstood that to mean that it would never work and it took an “Einstein” to even try to figure it out…and I’m sure that’s because trump is too damn dumb to understand anything but lunch….if I were the military person trying to explain this to the idiot, I wouldn’t have had the patience or tact that he showed…I would have just hung up on him and gone back to getting something done…what a waste of time and space idiot boy is…impeach…
$72 million for 600 feet of barbed wire?
Well…just a shorty before I get to working out and riding the bike…the figures are in and the idiot trump’s political stunt of sending troops to the southern border to intercept a “caravan” of refugees who were heading for the border cost you and me $72 million dollars for them laying 600 feet of barbed wire…yep, you read that right 72 mil for absolutely nothing but a political stunt…to say nothing about the hardship of the soldiers sent there who had to live on MRE’s for weeks and who won’t get home to spend Thanksgiving with their families. How do you tolerate and support this repubs? It just shows that the bleating of support from the repubs in support of the troops has always been a lie…they don’t give a damn about the troops or the costs…imagine what 72 million would do for feeding hungry kids or for college debt relief…or the thousands of other things that money would have been better spent on…I can’t wait for January to get here and for the dems to put an end to trump and his cronies….impeach…
Lock her up…
Well…hypocrites, hypocrites, hypocrites…we know that the trumps and the repub party are all hypocrites…and the latest revelation just adds to the totals of hypocrisy that oozes out of them every day. During the 2016 campaign, it was all Hillary’s e-mails all the time…that she used private e-mails to conduct government business…it was basically the only thing the entire campaign was based on and was aided and abetted by the media who couldn’t see the ridiculousness of it all…and now, guess who also is using private e-mail for government business? Yep, Ivanka frickin trump….and her excuse? That she didn’t know it was wrong to do it…nope, she never stood onstage with her idiot father while he bleated and bleated about Hillary’s e-mails…and she never gave interviews where she was so concerned about the e-mails that maybe, just maybe Hillary should be locked up for doing the same damn thing she is doing right now….yeah, right…we need to be rid of these stains on America and soon…I’ve had enough of them…impeach….
We all knew it was a stunt…
Well…with all of the bleating by the bleater in chief about the caravan of “thousands of criminals and middle eastern terrorists” that was moving toward the US from central America, trump and his cronies freaked out and sent over 5,000 troops to the Texas border to stop them from entering the US…never mind that they weren’t even heading to the Texas border and the “caravan” was mostly comprised of women and children. People who could think knew that this whole thing was a stunt to affect the elections and that was confirmed today when the Army announced that they have started to withdraw the troops after setting up a few rolls of barbed wire at the border…now when Obama used the military for political purposes…oh, that’s right…no president has ever used the army on US soil for political purposes…not once…ever! So, idiot boy just spent 100 million dollars for using the military as a prop…with his constant disdain for the military and it’s sacrifices, how long will it take before the repubs will stop supporting this crap? I wonder how many schools could have been repaired for 100 million dollars? Geez I hate trump…and the repubs…impeach…
Some thoughts…
Well…after most of the votes from 11/6 have been counted, it appears that we will have picked up around 40 seats in the House…giving us the majority we need to at least hold trump and his minions accountable for all of their crimes. But, it can’t stop there…the repubs have been rigging the systems across the US for years now and that is what we need to also focus on…as we have done here in Michigan, gerrymandering needs to be killed everywhere so every vote counts and the unpopular programs and ideas of the repubs die the fast death they deserve…and people like Kemp in Georgia, the secretary of state who was running for governor, can’t use their positions to suppress the votes of people who would overwhelmingly vote for our side. I mean, what the hell is wrong with everyone who is eligible to vote getting to vote? So, while going after trump may have some instant gratification, and needs to be done, let’s not lose focus on everything else that is wrong…and get started fixing it in January….
